I wanted my mom to drive me to school, but that didn't happen.  I had to be convinced that she was not going to drive me and I had better get outside to the bus stop.

Behavior = yellow = good job.

Mimz, GGF, and Barbara met my bus.  I showed Mimz all the parts to my basketball goal.  She looked through my Wednesday folder which always has several papers from my teacher and from the school about what is happening in class and at the school.

Mimz took me to Bahama Bucks where I got a banana snow cone.  She got a coffee flavored something.  Yummy.  Thank you, Mimz.

Mimz had a gift card for Chili's Restaurant, so Daddy, Mimz, and I ate dinner there tonight.  Mommy was invited but she had to work late.

Daddy brought me home at 7:30, and Mommy drove up at that same time.  We all visited for awhile, before it was pretty dark and I needed to go get ready for bed.

Tuesday Sept 29, 2015
I rode the bus to school, had a good day at school earning a red = outstanding behavior, and rode the bus home.  Papa and Grandma were standing at the corner waiting for my bus.
I soon found out that they had been working for several hours putting my basketball goal together.
Papa dug a big hole and filled it with concrete and the bottom piece of the pole.  We have to wait until Thursday to add the rest of the pole, backboard and rim.

Supervisor GGF, and Grandma and Barbara helped read the instructions...
and put all the little parts together to build the upper part of the pole...
 ...the backboard...
... and rim.  Thursday they will put the last twenty little pieces together before getting three strong people together to lift it all into place.
Here it is all assembled.  The instructions say have at least two strong people to lift the pole and backboard into place.  We all know Grandma is as strong as most men so they decided Papa and Grandma could do it.
Papa backed the bed of the pickup up to the pole.  They lifted the pole onto the bed of the truck.  They just had to lift it a few inches and drop it into place.  GGF gave his approval.
A few final adjustments...
Job well done.

I played nicely with Alyssa and Anthony until I had to get cleaned up.

After changing my shirt, washing my face and hands, I only had to wait a few minutes before my dad arrived.  I showed him my basketball goal in all its pieces, then we got in his truck and headed to my school.  Tonight was Dad's night at school where we ate pizza and heard about WATCH D.O.G.S. volunteers.  The DOGS stands for Dads Of Great Students.  It is a program for dad's to get involved with kids by participating at school by monitoring school property, working one-on-one or in small groups, reading, using flashcards, helping with homework, refereeing games, listening or whatever else needs to be done to plant seeds of success in the lives of the students.

I've been having an attitude problem and it seems to be getting worse.
I had a couple of problems before school.

Behavior at school = orange =great job.

I got of the bus happy and hungry.  I ate orange chicken and fried rice, three bran muffins, and two cups of milk.  Normally I don't have practice on Monday but we are having it tonight.  I gathered up my shirt, pants, and cleats, so I could quickly get ready right before Mommy gets home to take me to practice.

I changed my shirt and shoes before going out to play with Alyssa.  All was fine.

Mommy took me to practice.  Then I started being horrid.  Mommy took me over to Daddy's so he could lay down the law.  I was remorseful.  I cried myself to sleep.  I hope, and so does everyone else, that I straighten up and act right.

Sunday, September 27, 2015

Sunday I had two baseball games.  It was very overcast and in sprinkled on both of our games but it was not lightening so we kept playing.  I played center field and at least five balls came my way and I fielded them and quickly threw the ball to the second baseman. I do a pretty good job getting the ball to him. That is as far as I can throw the ball.

I stuck out three times.  But finally I had a great hit.  It went between second base and center-field.  I easily made it to first base.  On the next hit I ran to second base successfully.  But the next hit went straight to the third baseman, so I was out.  Good try on my part.

Papa, Grandma, Mommy, and Barbara were there.  Daddy was working and Mimz was picking up friends at the airport so they couldn't make this game.

Saturday, September 26, 2015

When I woke up Mommy was not here.  I didn't find Barbara in her room either.  GGM and GGF were downstairs.  They said Mommy said for me to call her when I woke up and she would come get me.  They were at my old home getting ready for a garage sale this morning.

Mommy came to get me and I helped move things outside onto tables.  Grandma came to help.  Later Papa and Andy came to get a few things for Andy to take and use at his home.  One thing was my outside toddler steps and slide.  Anna Kate will be ready to use them very soon.  She likes to climb.

At 9:45am Mommy and I had to leave for my baseball practice.  We practiced all parts of playing baseball.   I keep getting better all the time.   Practice, practice, practice.

It was a successful garage sale.  There was very little left by 11:30am and by noon the sale was over and everything had been moved inside.  We will take what is left to Goodwill very soon.

There is very little left at my old home.  We thought it was a single mom who bought my old home, but now we are hearing it is just a single woman.  Papa leaves October 11th and the lady is ready to move in, so closing will happen as soon as it can be arranged.

Barbara, Mommy, and I came home and we all took naps.  When I woke up, Mommy had already left for a scrapbooking thing.  Barbara was watching football.  She heated up some Orange Chicken and some Black Pepper Chicken with rice for me.
I also remembered to ask for some Pringles.  Barbara had bought and saved a can for us to share when we were watching football together.
We started the Eating Pringles while watching football in January 2013, that is when this picture was taken.  I was a perfect boy for Barbara while Mommy was gone.

I wanted to go over to Andy's, but I had to clean up my bedroom first.  Barbara and I less than five minutes to have it all picked up.  Mommy was pleased and we did go over to Andy's home.  Anna Kate was not there.  She is with her grandma in New Brunsfield.   I played with Andy's Play Station and swam in his pool with an eleven-year-old girl whose family was there visiting.

Today was crazy socks day at school.  I didn't wear these socks.  I wouldn't let Barbara take my picture in the other crazy socks.  She snapped this picture without my permission.  Alyssa had already taken off her socks.
We took Anna Kate over to my old house.  She played with my train for a few minutes before she went off to explore.
Looks like AK is in Time Out but really she is just putting on Barbara's shoes.
Anna Kate enjoying a morning bottle.  Barbara makes her a pallet using Andy's old car quilt.  It is cool and soft.
Often AK stops playing and rests for just a few seconds, then she is off exploring again.
She was going through her little door, when she stopped to rest for a few seconds.

Thursday, September 24, 2015

I was a pill again this morning, not getting around.  I was so bad I missed the bus. Mommy had to drive me to school.  I am in big trouble.

Today everyone is supposed to wear sun glasses to school. I left my sun glasses on the kitchen counter.  Mommy drove back home (1/2 mile) and returned to my school with the glasses.  The office put them in an envelope with my name and Mrs Meredith name to be taken to my classroom.

Behavior rating = yellow = good job

I notice the smell of brownies when I walked into the house.  I ate two of them.  Anna Kate wanted some but she had chicken and sweet potatoes instead.   Later I was eating mashed potatoes and pork chops and Anna Kate wanted some.  I would eat a bite, then would let her have a bite.  She would cry if we took to long to give her a bite.  Such a sweet baby girl.

I could not play with my friends after school.  I was okay with that and played with AK for awhile.  Then I wanted to use the iPad.  It was being charged, so I pulled AK's car seat over by the wall and played while it was being charged.  I fell asleep.  Barbara didn't see me sleeping or she would have taken a picture of me.

After AK left I did some homework with Barbara.  We left some for me to do when Mommy got home.   I got my homework finished, but I balked at taking a bath.  That little episode, lost me the use of the iPad and iPhone tonight.  Now that hurt!

Mimz drove me home this morning.  But before the school bus arrived I was misbehaving.  Because of that, Mimz took the Nintendo game she bought me back to her house.  When will I learn?

My behavior at school was orange = good job.

GGM and Anna Kate met my bus.  Barbara and GGF were at a doctor's appointment at the VA.
My behavior for the first two hours I was home was good.  I ate a snack, played with Anna Kate, and then played with the neighborhood kids.

I was at Anthony's when Mommy came to get me.  She said I had to get ready for practice.  I was okay until I was upstairs trying to change into my practice uniform.  I misbehaved and ended up with a consequence:  I will not be playing with my neighborhood kids tomorrow.  Bummer!

I did well at practice.  I worked on fielding and batting.

Practice was over at 8 and I was asleep before 9.  Once the lights go out, I am asleep pretty quickly.

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

Mommy dropped me off at school.  I waved and waved at her, not wanting her to leave.
My behavior at school today was orange = outstanding.

I jumped off the bus and ran to Mimz.  She, Barbara and Anna Kate were standing there waiting for my bus.

We came inside to visit for a few minutes.  I put my baseball cap on AK's head.
Mimz and I drove to Bahama Bucks so I could get a Metzler school spirit stick. I also got another banana snow cone.  I sure am a lucky boy.

I went home with Mimz to spend the night with her.  She always wants to keep me one night a week because she enjoys being with me.   When we got to Mimz home, Knox was outside so we played together for a long time, hitting balls and flying rockets.  Knox will be four years-old-soon.  He likes playing with me, "a big boy."  Mimz and Barbara like how I play with babies, younger kids, girls, older kids, and children of other races without any concerns.  Hopefully I will  grow up to be tolerant of differences in people.

Daddy came over for dinner and I ate everything on my plate.  Daddy gave me a bath.  Mimz read two books to me.  I fell asleep before the second book was finished.   I was sound asleep by 8:30pm.

Happy birthday to me!
Today I turned 6!  I love being a big boy.  As a special treat, Mommy drove me to school instead of putting me on the bus.
GGM hung the balloons I brought home from my skating party.
At school the birthday child gets to wear a hat that says Happy Birthday, Mason.  To have the class get a treat from the school cafeteria requires two weeks notice and a letter has to go home to each child's parents to make sure it is okay with them because of allergies, etc.  Most families don't do this because it is so much trouble for every one.

My mom was waiting in the cafeteria when my class walked in at 10:48.  She went through the lunch line with me and we sat at the parents table.  There were two other parents there, but I was the only birthday child.
After school I played with with AK for a bit, then I ran outside to play with Alyssa and Jackson.  Anthony is in California with his dad.  They are visiting family and getting to see the older brother, Curtis, who is in the navy.

Barbara took me to Bahama Bucks where I ordered a banana flavored snow cone.  I really liked that flavor.  A small one costs $3.69.  AK had a little and she loved it.

My parents went to my school's open house.

Barbara took Jackson and me to Chick-fila.  Alyssa's mom brought her.  We had such a great fun time playing Hide and Seek.

We got home ten minutes before we expected parents to return.  They were waiting for us and were worried about where we were, which really surprised us.  Barbara forgot to take her phone.  Sorry everybody for causing alarm.

GGM and Barbara cleaned my old wagon.  We gave it to Anna Kate.  I hope I can fit into it with her so we can be pulled down the street.  If not, I can just pull her in the wagon.

Saturday, September 19, 2015

My 6th birthday skating party was at the Champion Skating Rink from 1:30 to 3:30pm.
My name was up on the big screen.  Well, there were five or six other birthday parties going on at the same time, so it switched between all of our names.  I had a blast!

My family guests were: Mommy, Daddy, Mimz, Grandma, Papa, GGF, Barbara, Bridget and Chris, Andy, Kristan, and Anna Kate.  Scott and Morgan wanted to come but didn't make it.
My friend guests were: Hank and his mom; Brant, Aubrey, and their dad; Alyssa and her mom; Peyton, Brooke, Jenna, and their mom; Eli, Jacob, and their mom; and Big Mason.  Cole was sick, and Landry, Beckett, Jon Jon wanted to come but didn't make it.

GGF enjoyed watching all the excitement.

Mimz, Papa, Grandma, Anna Kate, GGF, and me.

Papa and Anna Kate.
 Anna Kate is so cute!
Anna Kate with her parents.  They think she is the cutest and they are right!
Andy, Kristan, Anna Kate, Mommy, Bridget, and Chris B.  My dad is somewhere but didn't show up at picture time.
(get picture of Daddy holding Anna Kate.)
and Bridget and my friends.  (Barbara goofed and didn't turn the video recorder off so her camera filled up and she couldn't take any more pictures.  She didn't realize what the problem was until she got home.  so she borrowed Mommy and Grandma's camera.  She still has to get the pictures from them.)

I think I was the only child that knew how to skate.  The others all used "walkers" that let them stay standing while they learned how balance on skates.   My dad, Bridget, Chris B, and Andy all skated.  Chris B had his own skates.  He really can skate... he should.... he played hockey for seven years.

We had pepperoni and cheese pizzas, and a baseball themed cake, punch, Sprite, Dr. Pepper and water.

I received many nice gifts.  I'll list what they were soon.
My basketball goal; a gift from GGM, GGF, Barbara, Grandma, and Papa; was supposed to arrive today, but it was not at Walmart like it should have been.

Friday, September 18, 2015

I was off to school with a smile.  I jumped off the bus with a smile because Mommy was waiting to meet my bus.

Behavior at school =  orange = great job.

I hugged Anna Kate before I ran off to play with Alyssa and Jackson.  Mommy was getting all my weekend outfits together.   Baseball gear, skating party clothes, and play clothes.

We went over to Daddy's home to finish working on party favors and to play catch with my new baseball glove.

Thursday, September 17, 2015

I spent the night at Mimz home, so we had to get up early to drive all the way to my home to be there when the bus arrived.

Thursday is library day for my class, so I had to return Killer Whales.  I checked out Horse Show.
My behavior color was red = outstanding.

I quickly changed into a play shirt after school and played with my neighbor friends until Mommy arrived home.  Then she and I went to Bounce Bears to meet John John and another friend.
My new baseball bat.  My old green one was for T-ball.
My new baseball glove arrived in the mail today.
Now we need to oil it and break it in.

Mommy is working on party favors for the children who come to my skating party on Saturday.

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Up and at'um this morning.  I couldn't wait until it was time to go to bus stop so I could show my friends my new bat while we waited for the school bus.  I gave my old bat to Cole.

Behavior rating = yellow =  good day.
We had a substitute teacher.  Mrs Meredith's baby was sick.

I saw Mr Mark ( neighbor who lived diagonally from us and also Anthony and Alyssa's dad) helping with lunch in the cafeteria.  He saw me and spoke to me.

I was eating a snack when Mimz arrived.  I showed her my new bat.  I sure do like it.  After visiting for a few minutes, we left because Brooke and Peyton were waiting for me to get to Mimz so we could play.

Daddy took me to baseball practice.  Mommy cane and we went out to eat.

At Mimz home, I listened to her read two books:  The Little Engine That Could and The Big Chase.  I was asleep before 9pm.

It was a very good day.

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

I was a pill getting ready for school and I had to suffer a consequence.

Behavior at school = red = outstanding.

As soon as I got off the bus, I had to come inside.  I could not play with my friends because of my behavior this morning.  Hopefully I will learn it is better to behave and make life easy for everyone.
I noticed AK was not here.  I found out her mother took off work today to take her to her well baby check up and AK had four shots.  OUCH!  Notice the four silver band-aids on her little legs.  She is 30 inches tall and 23 pounds.  We called to see if we could come over to visit and swim.  Kristan said we could come visit but we could not swim.  Andy just put chemicals in the pool.

AK was happy to see me.  She looked cute with four shiny silver band-aids on her two legs.  I wanted to play a new game on Andy's x-box but we couldn't figure out how to get it to work.  We need Andy to show us how so I can play it soon.

I let Barbara read Killer Whales to me.  And we did some of my homework.  We will do the last two parts after dinner. I played outside by myself.

After dinner, I took a bubble bath.  I wanted to use my goggles, but we decided we should do that on a day we don't have bubble bath in the tub.  Maybe it would not burn my eyes if a little got in my eyes, but we decided to wait for another day to use goggles.

We put Compound W on my wart following the directions on the box.

Monday, September 14, 2015

This was a routine, quiet day.  I had a good day at school.  My behavior rating was yellow = good job.

I was hungry when I got home and I ate some ravioli and some Fiber One cereal before going out to play with my neighbors.
 I love Anna Kate.
 I entertain her....
... and can easily make her laugh.

Sunday, September 13, 2015

I had two baseball games day.  We won one and lost one.
I played center field and left field.  I had no action at either position.
I had one base hit, scored a run and had three strike outs.  I'm just learning.  I will improve quickly with practice.
Daddy and I discussed the game of baseball.
Back at my house, GGF, GGM, and Barbara cut up the old carpet that had been on the garage floor.  They then put down the old play mats.  Now that it is getting cooler we will be able to bring Anna Kate outside and let her have a safe clean place to play.  Now just how long do you think she will stay on those mats?  She will be running outside first chance she gets!  GGF often takes naps on the sofa.

Saturday, September 12, 2015

Happy 57th birthday, Grandma!  I won't see you today, but hopefully you will be at my baseball games in the morning!

Happy Grandparents Day to all my grandparents and great-grandparents!  Daddy and I bought Mimz some flowers.  She was very pleased.

I had baseball practice around 9am.

My neighborhood had a play date for boys between 5 and 11.  There were about nine of us and our moms there. Jackson was there.
I think I have been here before......
I sat on this same seat on my third birthday.
I love fireman poles.

Friday, September 11, 2015

Off to school with nothing on my head.... home from school with a crown on my head.  It was my turn to be King of my class for the afternoon.

I played with my neighborhood friends: Alyssa, Anthony, Jackson, and Cole until Mommy got home.  Then we had to go wait at Daddy's house for an air conditioning repairman to arrive.  The air conditioner went out last night.  Having no air conditioning in Texas in September makes you realize how nice air conditioning  is.

Thursday, September 10, 2015

I had a hard time getting up even though I was asleep before 9pm.

My rating started at green and it stayed there all day.  That is my lowest rating so far.
Today I checked my first book out of the school library.
From now on our library day will be on Thursday, so I return my library book on that day.

All I want to do is play with my friends when I get home from school.  I'm willing to eat a quick snack and change my shirt, then I want to be out the door.

When Mommy got home, I had to quit playing and go shopping with her.  She wants to get a baseball glove so she can play catch with me.

We watched some of the NFL football game over at Daddy's home.  The air conditioning went out, so we packed up and went over to Mimz home to sleep.

Wednesday, September 9, 2015

It was a normal day. Get up and get ready, ride bus, school, and ride bus home.

Today I earned a "yellow" rating which is "good job."   I'll try for a higher rating tomorrow.

Everyone met my bus, Barbara, GGF, GGM, and Anna Kate.  It is a nice feeling having people waiting for me at the end of my school day.  I didn't get a snack when I got home because Mimz had plans for me.

GGF and Barbara drove me to Chick-fila where we met Mimz.  She had ordered me a meal and got my favorite Polynesian sauce.  I played in the indoor playground.

Tuesday, September 8, 2015

Mommy told me the kids were all at the bus stop, so I stopped what I was doing, grabbed my backpack and hurried to join the gang.

I came home with another sticker on my Daily report.  That means "off the chart!"  Here is a little information about that system of letting our parents know how we are acting in school.  Every morning we each have a clip on the "green."  At different times through out the day, Mrs Meredith says something like "Mason, clip up" or James, clip down."   Then we move our clip up or down one spot.  Today, near the end of the day, my clip was on red, which is one spot from the top.  I was the only child on red.  Mrs Meredith told me "clip up."  I moved to "sticker" which means "off the chart."  No other child could get that today, since I was the only child on red right before the end of the day.

At home I played with the kids.  Later Cole came to play for a few minutes before we all had to go home.  I quickly took a bath, using goggles to play under water.  Brush teeth, and a quick story before bedtime.

Monday, September 7, 2015

I slept late, had a late breakfast, watched TV... just chilled all morning at Daddy's home.

In the afternoon, Mommy and I helped move some of the things that were still at our old home, like Christmas boxes, coats, and odds and ends.  GGF carried most of the things up the stairs.... while sitting in the chair lift.  I carried small items up, but I just climbed the stairs.

I played outside with Anthony and Alyssa for a short time before Mommy and I went to visit Andy, Kristan, and Anna Kate.

Anthony, Alyssa, Jackson, and I went on a bike ride with Brad.  I thanked Brad for taking us.

Sunday, September 6, 2015

I enjoyed my guy's weekend with Dad.  Mommy came over in the afternoon.  We went over to Andy's to visit.

Normally my baseball games are on Sunday, but we didn't have one today.  We did have practice instead.

Saturday, September 5, 2015

While helping Daddy do some yard work I wore eye protection which Daddy says I must always do.
Mimz and I met Eli and Jacob at the skating rink, so both boys could practice some before my skating party.   I am getting really good at going fast on skates.
