Daddy and I got haircuts today.  We had a little shock.  The barber noticed I had some head lice, not many, but there were there none the less.   Daddy bought some NIX and we washed my hair with it.  We washed all my bedding to make sure there were not lice there waiting to jump onto my head.

New haircut.
We came to my house to ride the dirt bike.  I keep getting better and better at riding.  It takes practice to gain confidence.

Daddy took Mimz and me to the cemetery in Texas City and we visited the graves of Pops' parents Donald and Lillian Watson.
This is the Veteran's marker for Donald Watson, at the foot of his grave.

We went to the shore and I got to play in the water.  Daddy threw a long pass to me while I was in the water and I caught it.  Oh, what fun.
We visited with a friend of Daddy's, Michael Santiago and his son, Max at their beach house.  We rode on a jet ski.  More fun!
We did a little sightseeing, ate dinner, and walked along the seawall one more time and then headed home.  The waves were really big and fun to watch and listen to.

Thursday, March 29, 2018

I spend the entire day with my dad.
Daddy ran in the park and I rode my bike.  Mimz is busy getting groceries for our Easter dinner.
We went to my house for awhile so I could ride my dirt bike.

And we went to baseball field practice.

Wednesday, March 28, 2018

Today was the day our Field Day was to be held but according to the forecast the rain would start about 10am and it would continue to rain all day and night.   The sky was dark and looked like it would pour down rain all morning but it didn't.  But in the early afternoon it really did rain. It is a good thing my school rescheduled our Field Day to April 13th.

It was a normal school day except that we were all excited about being off school the next two days for Easter holiday.

My gang all had things they had to do, so I went to Austin's to play even though it was sort of raining.   Daddy picked me up at Austin's and took me to baseball practice.

I'm staying at with my dad for the next few days.

Tuesday, March 27, 2018

I said I didn't feel good when I woke up, but after I heard I would be in bed with nothing but books all day if I didn't go to school, I decided I would get ready for school and see if I didn't feel better soon.

I gobbled down my oatmeal and was a completely normal rowdy boy by the time I was out at the bus stop.

One of my friends almost broke his leg... not at school... he had on a cast.

I played at Austin's until my dad came to pick me up.

He took me to Chic-fil-a to get a Happy meal... chicken nuggets, fries, and Sprite.  I like their Polynesian sauce on my nuggets.

I brushed my teeth and got in bed at 9pm.  Barbara read about three pages in a book before I was asleep.

Monday, March 26, 2018

It's Monday and the entire Gang of Five got on the school bus this morning.
as soon as I got off the bus, I was ready to start playing.  Barbara said I had to do my homework and spelling first.  I happily told her there is no homework this week because Wednesday is field day and Thursday and Friday are school holidays.   She checked my folders and my journal and sure enough there was no homework and no spelling words, so after I ate a bowl of cereal, I was off and running.

I played at Austin's for a couple of hours then Julian and Xavier had to go home, so Austin and I went to Zane's to play.  I stopped at my house to let Mommy know where I was.

Sunday, March 25, 2018

The Spartan's had 3 baseball games today.   I played third base and left field.  I had one great catch.  The ball was hit between third base and second base way into the outfield.  I had to run fast and dive to catch the ball.  I ended up on the ground, but I made the catch and held on to it.

I had one solid hit, which went over second base but was caught by the shortstop.  I walked the other times I was at bat.  A couple of times I managed to steal my way to home plate.

We game was close and we should have won but we made a few errors.  The second game we lost big time.  And the last game was exciting:  We didn't score the first inning and the other team scored ten runs.  In the second inning we had two outs, then we scored 11 runs.  Oh, what fun that was.   In the bottom of that inning they scored three runs, then time was called.  We lost but we did have lots of fun.  We were missing energy during the first two games, but we found a bunch in the third game. Daddy, Mimz, and Barbara were there.  Mimz, Barbara, and I went to What-a-burger for lunch.  It was a long day with the games being at 8, 10:30, and 2:45.  It was maybe 5:30pm before we got home.

Daddy took me over to my home, so I could ride my dirt bike.  Then I played with the boys in the neighborhood.  When they all had to go home, I played over at Alyssa's until I had to call it a night.

Saturday, March 24, 2018

This event took place in Mimz' neighborhood this morning:   (Easier to read below)

On Saturday, March 24, 2018 there will be up to 150-200 Motorcycles to include the Patriot Guard Riders, Thin Blue Line MC Club, Rolling Thunder Tx2, as well as several independent riders. There will be numerous Police vehicles along with an Arial helicopter “air escort” during the trip. The escort will begin in the Old Gander Mountain parking lot and travel westbound through Enchanted Oaks to Cutten Road. The escort should be coming through starting at 0930. Could you put something out on your Facebook/Website page regarding this event to see if residents would line up on foot alongside Cypresswood Drive in Enchanted Oaks with any American Flags or colors to honor those fallen warriors. It is always an honor to pay tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Mimz and Daddy took me.  We stood on the street curb waving our American flags.  The riders honked and waved to us in return.  It was a good thing for us kids to experience.

Daddy and I came to my house to ride my dirt bike.   We went to Kenny's house to eat crawfish for dinner

Friday, March 23, 2018

Daddy got me home in plenty of time for me to catch the school bus.  Barbara reminded me to turn in my homework and slow down when taking my spelling test.

I had a cinnamon roll at school plus breakfast at home.  I turned in my homework and I think I got a 100 on my spelling test.

Daddy came over and we went for a dirt bike ride around the block twice.  Daddy let me play with Austin and friends for a while then we went to Urban Air because I don't have anything scheduled for tomorrow.  We stayed until 10pm.
Someone threw two large branches behind our fence.  GGM and Barbara cut them up and bagged the leaves and twigs.  They didn't think to take a picture when they started.  They were almost finished when Barbara snapped this photo of GGM using loppers.   They didn't finish in one day.  They came back to next day to finish up and clean up.

Thursday, March 22, 2018

Daddy took me to school early for my running club.  I ran 11 laps for a total of 87 laps for the year.

All I could recall about my day was that I played with Teagen during recess.

I was hungry when I got off the bus.  The only thing I would eat was cereal.  I was ready to run out to play when Daddy arrived.

We rode my dirt bike before I got dressed for baseball field practice.

When Daddy was around my age he got his first dirt bike.  Uncle Scott and Pops got dirt bikes also so they did a lot of riding together.  Mimz enjoyed riding with them too.  They had a trailer and would take the pike to Mimz' parents home so they could ride in big open spaces.  They also rode at dirt bike parks like the one just off I-45 going to Conroe.  I'll go ride there when I get better at riding.

Barbara's pink eye has spread to her left eye so she doesn't have real clear vision and she didn't want to drive after dark so Daddy happily took me to practice.

Practice wasn't over until 8pm.  By the time I got home, ate, and showered it was almost 9pm.  I read only two pages, then Mimz took over and I was asleep almost immediately.

Wednesday, March 21, 2018

While Xavier, Julian, and I waited for the bus, Barbara asked us two questions:  Name sports that use a ball?  and  Name sports that don't use a ball?   Fun to answer.  There are lots of answers for both questions.

Barbara has pink eye.  It looks more like red eye to me.  She is trying to wash her hands often and avoid touching her eye so she does not spread it to her other eye or to other people, like me!

Daddy came over and we rode my dirt bike for a short time, then I got dressed for field baseball practice in long pants and cleats.  We went to the field early so Daddy and I could practice.

Mommy came home from work and packed her bags for the weekend.  She drove to The Pond to spend the night, then she and Grandma are going to Dallas for a scrap-booking weekend.

Tuesday, March 20, 2018

Today is the first day of spring and it is also Mr. Mark's birthday.  He was at the bus stop with Alyssa so I wished him a happy birthday.

I couldn't think of anything that happened at school that was interesting.

I did my reading page homework and studied my spelling words before I ran outside to play.  I promised I would come inside at 7:30pm without whinging about wanted to keep playing with my friends.

Papa came over today to fix my two bikes.  He put new brake pads and new pedals on my biggest bike and he put the chain back on my old bike and put air in the tires.  I was supposed to call him, but I insisted on putting it off and it didn't happen.  Barbara sure wishes I would take care of things immediately and get it over with instead of wanting to put things off until later.

I played with my gang and then I went down to Austin's to play.  I came home at 7pm ready to eat spaghetti.

Oh, I didn't put away my bike and my ramp when I came inside.  Barbara announced to me and my mom that she is over picking up toys I leave outside.  She also quite taking care of my baseball gear a couple of months ago.  She wants me to be more responsible for my things.

Mommy and I went to buy me some new school shoes.  I don't know what happens to my shoes.  I can't keep up with them.  I am to wear these shoes to school and take them off when I get off the school bus to keep them nice.

I didn't read like I'm supposed to.  It was after 9 before I fell asleep.

Monday, March 19, 2018

I didn't want to but I got up at 7am and slowly got dressed, ate, and headed to the bus stop.  Going back to school after this week of Spring Break is hard.

I PROMISED I would do my homework, eat, shower, and read, without any complaint if I could go play first.  Barbara agreed but if I didn't follow thru with my promise I would be doing homework as soon as I got home the rest of the week.

A bunch of guys went for a bike ride with Austin's parents and then we played football in his yard.  I came home at 7pm and played with Julian, Xavier, and Cole.  We rode our bikes down the road and then we jumped my ramp.  Barbara was opposed to this but she hates to hear me argue so she gave in.
Daddy sent a text about Jose Altuve.  Barbara helped me read it and then we talked about what it meant.  I hope I develop a good work ethic soon... it pays off!

Barbara wanted me to come in at 7:30pm but I whined that nobody else had to quit playing so she gave me until 7:40pm against her better judgement.  I whined when she said, "Times up, bye boys" and she carried my ramp into the garage with me still whining.

I ate some chicken nuggets while I studied my spelling words.  I spelled them all correctly.  Then I did my math while I ate a big bowl of cereal.  It was 8:15pm and I still needed to take a shower and read for 20 minutes.  Not enough time to do both and be in bed by 8:30pm.

So I showered and it was 8:30 when I finished.  I got in bed and Barbara started reading Paul Bunyan to me.  I was asleep before she had two pages read.  I did not do my baseball exercises.

Sunday, March 18, 2018

The Spartans won one game and lost one game yesterday so were still in the tournament this morning.   It is a double elimination tournament.

We played at 10am.  The team we were playing against had taller and bigger players on it so we did well to end the game with a 15 to 9 score.  We think they "legally but a little shadily" stacked the deck with seven Elite players who were not normally on this team.  We lost but we put up a good fight.  I caught a high fly ball and I stopped a  grounder and threw it from third base to first base.  The first baseman caught it but his foot came off the bag so the runner was safe.

I walked every time I was at bat.  I managed to steal second and third base both times and made it home once.  I was put out stealing home one time.  It was really close and the umpire said if I had ran into the catcher instead of trying to dodge him, it would have been a tie and I would have been safe.  Now I know.

Daddy has a friend who has a Lamboghini.

This afternoon we went over to his house
... and Ken took me for a ride it.  It was great fun driving down Gosling.
A boy can dream!
I was home in plenty of time to get to my 18th Faith Formation class.  We don't have FF the next two weekends, then we only have four more classes!

I came home to find none of my friends could play except Anthony.  I was under the impression that Anthony said his dad said he could go in the tunnel at the Park.  Barbara texted Mark and got the same scoops she got last week.  WE KIDS ARE TO STAY OUT OF THE TUNNEL.

Saturday, March 17, 2018

I had two baseball games today, at noon and at 2pm.
We lost the first game.  I don't think we scored and they had at least 15 runs!  Needless to say that was not a fun game.  They were just bigger and better.  We learn something in every game we play.
The second game we won.... I'm not sure of the score maybe 14 - 9 but that could be really wrong.  I don't remember what I did but I played well, we all played well.

Only having one loss means we will play tomorrow.  We keep playing until we lose a second game, then we are eliminated from the tournament.

Daddy was babysitting Knox today so he and I played together until I had to leave for my 6-month dental check up.

Daddy and I met Barbara at Sprout's at 2:45pm.  I asked Barbara if I could have some Orange Chicken.  She said we had time to stop by Panda Express before we went to my appointment at 3:30pm.

We arrived at the dentist's office with fifteen minutes to spare so I sat in the car at ate some Orange Chicken.  When we went inside, I told them my name and got us checked in.  We only waited a few minutes before they were ready for me.
Normally I am perfectly content while the hygienist and dentist work on me, but today I was squirmy and complained that it was taking too long, it hurt, it tasted bad... when really it didn't take long at all.  Both the dentist and hygienist said I need to brush for two minutes twice a day and flossing was very very important.
The more time I floss, the less time it takes the hygienist to do her job.   She told me how many baby teeth I have left.  I'm not sure but I think she might have said twelve.
I didn't have any cavities.  I haven't had any in my lifetime.

While Barbara drove us home I finished eating my Orange Chicken.  I ran off to play for 45 minutes.  Barbara opened the to-go box and found that I had eaten her Black Pepper Chicken also.  LOL.  That was fine with her.  She wished I had eaten some of the rice also.

I dressed in my baseball pants and cleats and off we went to my practice.  When I opened my baseball bag I realized my cap was not in the bag.  Barbara quickly called my dad.  He was on his way to my practice, but he turned around and went back to his home, where he found my cap.  I really need to keep track of my baseball gear better.  I'm old enough.

Barbara stayed at my practice until Daddy got there.  Mommy came after she got off work.  I had a great hit making it all the way to third base and a good over-all practice.    I went home with Daddy since I'm on Spring Break and I don't have to go to school in the morning.

Wednesday, March 14, 2018

I had play date with Jacob and Eli at Urban Air and we were really looking forward to seeing each other.  We had a blast.

I could have gone to baseball batting practice, but I didn't want to because I went yesterday.  I do plan to go to field practice on Thursday.

Tuesday,  March 13, 2018

Bubba spent the day with me at Mimz' home.  The pollen was really bad so Mimz put drops in my eyes after my shower.

Daddy took me to a baseball pitching and hiting lesson and Daddy said I did really well pitching.

Daddy grilled hamburgers and Mimz fixed baked beans for our dinner.

I was sleepy by 9pm so I didn't stay up much after that.

Monday, March 12, 2018

I was grounded last night and I had to stay in my room.  I fell asleep at 7:30pm and I didn't wake up until 9:15am.   It is interesting that when I am in trouble I am such a good boy.  I ate four packages of chocolate chip oatmeal.
I did my baseball exercises and had fun doing them.  I made my bed and got dressed.

One slip-up was I said I brushed my teeth when I really had just gotten my toothbrush wet.  Barbara said my breath would smell like toothpaste if I had really brushed my teeth....  I ended up going back into the bathroom and did a good job brushing my teeth.

At 11am I headed outside to play. I found out Alyssa and Anthony have Y camp all week and won't be home until 5.  Except today Anthony is at the doctor instead of camp.  Xavier and Julian have company.  No one answered the door at Austin's home so I came back home.

I ate three small bowls of chicken and noodles.  I wanted a shake so I helped Barbara make me a banana shake.  I took a small cup to GGM.  She enjoyed it too.  I ate half and froze the other half.

I called Mimz.  After I told her none of my friends could play, she said she could come get me after she ran some errands.  I know Barbara and GGM will play with me but they generally want to play games that don't require hard hitting and running.

Barbara said the 19 state capital I know and then I told her the state.  GGM listened to us do this.  I also did another set of my exercises to make up for not doing them on Sunday.

I showed Barbara how I can box with my new boxing gloves.  I would box an imaginary guy, then I would hit myself.  I was knocked out twice.  (not really)  Anthony and Alyssa both have gloves.  I had to use my own money to buy them.

At 1:30pm both GGM and Barbara wanted to take a nap..... not me.  I soon followed Barbara upstairs and found her in bed.  I got on her bed to watch an episode of Monk with her.  I found she had a heating pad warming up because she was cold.  She kept falling asleep and I kept waking her up.

The doorbell rang and it was Anthony and Henry wanting to play.  I came upstairs to tell Barbara I was going to play and she reminded me that Mimz was on her way to get me.  Just then Mimz called and I told her I now had friends to play with so I would stay home.
We went to the park and played in a big tunnel that had something to do with water over flow or something.  Barbara came to check on me and she felt that our playing in there was not acceptable.  We told her it was okay with Mr. Mark.    She said she would check with Mr. Mark.

When I came home, I heard that Mr. Mark had decided it was not a good idea for kids to play in that tunnel (snakes, rodents, etc.)  He was sure the community board would tell kids that was not a playground and no one should go in there.  He said he would take us on a hike in the woods or something.

I had been a super well-behaved boy all day.  I asked to see if I could go over to Mimz.  Mommy said I could.  We had one small episode where I almost ended up back in my room for the evening.  I didn't want that again, so I acted like I know I'm supposed to.

I had changed all of my clothes except somehow I ended up with my same dirty shirt on.  When we met Mimz at Sprouts, she said that was okay.

Bubba spent the night with me at Mimz' home.

Sunday, March 11, 2018

Anthony and I stayed up until 3am.  I came home from Alyssa's at 11:30am.

Barbara helped me count the change in my piggie bank:  $11.63.  We rolled up as much as we could.  I'm saving for a video game.

I got on my pogo stick and started jumping while Barbara silently counted by twos.  She would tell me every time I did a power of ten: ten, twenty, thirty..... 260, 270, 280, etc.   She told me to stop when I got to 300.  I could have kept going, but I was getting a little tired.

I  played with Anthony and Alyssa during the early afternoon.  Then I rode my bike around the neighborhood with Austin, Anthony, Henry, and Julian.  We got permission to go to the park.  I got my shoes really muddy.  I changed out of those wet shoes into my nice white shoes.  Mommy told me not to get them dirty.  I came back home with them wet and muddy.  Mommy worked on cleaning them... they will never be the same.

I wanted some money to go to the corner store with Henry.  Mommy said no.  Barbara would not give me any money for the corner store.  (She has never bought anything from a corner store except gas.)  I threw a fit. I threw my new Rubics-type-cube and it busted into many pieces.  I ended up grounded for the rest of the day.  That was about 6pm.  I had to go into my room and take off all of my dirty clothes and put on clean ones.  Then I had to stay in my room for the rest of the evening.  I started hitting things, so Barbara got out her wooden paddle and I got a couple of swats.  When she turned her back, I made a mean face at her, not realizing my mother was standing right there watching me.  I got two more swats and I still had no remorse.  And later Barbara gave me  two more swats and for the next three weeks, if I am playing at Austin's at 5:30pm when Mommy gets home, I have to come home.  I did go downstairs to eat a bowl of cereal and came back to my room.   Just a few minutes later Barbara remembered that I had not brushed my teeth, so she came to remind me to do that.... I was asleep and it was only 7:30am.

Saturday, March 10, 2018

I woke up around 8:30am saying I was ready to eat.  Barbara was already up because she was getting ready to spend almost 24 hours at Andy's house.   Andy and Kristan are going to the rodeo and Barbara is going to babysit and then spend the night so she won't have to drive home in the dark.   She fixed me two bowls of oatmeal, bacon, and milk.

I did 25 of each of my baseball exercises before getting in bed with Mommy.  I was up late last night and I guess I'm still a little sleepy.
Friday March 9, 2018

Mommy was watching when my friends and I got on the bus.  It is my last day of school before my week of Spring Break.  YEA!

School's out!  School's out!  The teacher let the monkeys out!
When my bus pulled up I was happy to see my dad's truck.  He came over so I could ride my dirt bike.  We didn't ride very long because there was a bunch of kids around and it's not nice to play with something I can't share in front of them.

Daddy left, and I ran to play with my friends.  We played at Ausin's for a while, then I came home to eat before going to Alyssa's church's recreation center with her family.  They have all kinds of activities but I mostly played with a Play Station.  We were home around 8pm.

It was decided Alyssa and I would have a sleep-over at my house.  We played in my room, until 11pm.  Mostly we played with Legos.  I was so ready to fall asleep.  Mommy had pulled out my trundle bed for Alyssa but she was not ready to sleep, so she wanted to go home.  We called her dad and he met us outside and he took her home.

I was asleep within a few minutes of crawling into bed.

Thursday, March 8, 2018

Barbara met Daddy and me at Metzler so she could give me my Huskies on the Run shirt and we could give her my baseball bag.  After I switched shirts, I was off to my running club.
I found my spelling journal and my homework folder in a bin in my class room.  We were sure it had to be at school since we had looked everywhere at home and in all the cars.

I did my baseball exercises as soon as I got home from school.

When Barbara and I arrived at my baseball practice, Mommy had just arrived.  Mommy helped me put on my cleats, then I ran to my practice.  Mommy watched and Barbara went home.

I was asleep by 9pm.

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

My homework and  reading folder and my spelling journal have been missing for over a week.  We put new folders in my backpack and we are using them instead.   I can't imagine where I left them.  My name is on them so if I left them at school, then should have been returned to me by now.

I was ready to play the second I jumped off the bus, but I had to come in and do my reading homework page and my spelling words.   I was not willing to read my 20 minutes.
My conduct in class improved.  I got an S+.  I am pretty sure I will not get a Great Conduct spirit stick this 9 weeks.  This will be the first time in my school history for me to NOT get that spirit stick.  I have and more S's than E's this 9 weeks.  I am trying to do better.  My teacher says for me to slow down and think about the work I am doing.

This is the basketball I won at the Rodeo.

Barbara and I shot a few hoops then I went down to Austin's to jump on his trampoline.  When Barbara came to pick me up, I was mad that I had to leave.  But by the time I had ridden my bike home, I was back to my normal self.  Mimz arrived at 5:15pm to take me to practice.

I had a good practice and was able to shower, eat, practice spelling and read AND make it into bed by 8:30pm.  I read one of my library books and did very well.  Mimz wrote it in my spiral notebook.  I was asleep by 8:40pm.

Per my baseball coach I must start doing baseball exercises every night.  25 of each of these: sit-ups, squats, and push-ups.

Tuesday, March 6, 2018

It was a routine morning with me waiting at the bus stop with my friends for our ride to school.

March is when Houston holds it's big Rodeo.  Daddy came to my school around 11am to get me so we could go to the rodeo with Mimz.

I got my face painted like a pirate.

We rode lots of ride and I had a great time.
Mimz rode some rides with me.  Daddy rode more rides with me.We rode down a large slide...
...and a huge Farris wheel.
I petting some animals in the baby animal barn.  My favorite ride was a large swing that had us moving back and forth and round and round.  I rode it twice.

On the ride home, Mimz asked me my spelling words.

Daddy brought me home around 7:30pm.  I talked about my day and got into the shower at 8pm.
I had to get the pirate painting off my face because I have school in the morning.  As it turns out it came off very easily.  ( Not at all like the marker that my friends painted my face and back with at Austin's birthday party.)

I was very unwillingly read for 20 minutes.  My problem was that if I spend 20 minutes reading, I would have no time to watch the iPhone before my 8:30pm bedtime.  As it turns out I got to watch the iPhone for awhile before I had to quit to get enough sleep.

Monday, March 5, 2018

Today is spring school picture day.  I wore a nice red shirt and khaki shorts.

Prolawn came yesterday and cleaned out our flower beds.  They will come back with mulch and flowers.

I showered, dressed, ate breakfast, and ran outside.  I was the first child at the bus stop.   Mr. Brad had put an old bike tire out at the curb.   Barbara told me how children used to play with a large wheel and a stick, using the stick to keep the wheel going.  I tried using my hand.

The first time and the second time I tried it didn't work very well.  The next time was better and after five or six times I was getting better at controlling it.   Xavier and Julian tried and just like me they were not very good the first time or two.  When the bus came, I have the wheel to Barbara.  We will keep it for us to practice this skill.  I bet with practice we will get better.
Papa came over to put down some weed and feed.  Barbara showed him my broken bike pedal.  He took down all the bike information and will look into getting me a new pedal and some new brake pads.
My class picture arrived today.  I'm on the back row.  See me?

Sunday, March 4, 2018

I woke up sometime between 6 and 7am.  I told Barbara I was a little hungry.  She fixed me one bowl of apple and cinnamon oatmeal.  I ate it, watched some sports on her phone and went back to sleep.  I woke up at 10:30am.  Then I was really hungry.  I had two bowls of oatmeal, sausage, and milk.

I was a little slow moving this morning.  It was 11:30am before I took off to find friends to play with but before I did I reviewed the states and capitols that I know.  I know 19 of them.  My bathroom shower curtain is a map of the USA.  I picked out Madison, Wisconsin to be my newest state to learn.
My team had a baseball scrimmage game today at 2pm.  My fans were Mommy, Barbara and Mimz.  I had three at bats.  I stuck out, walked, and then I had a dropped ball on third strike, so I ran to first and beat the catcher's throw to first, so I was safe.  I scored one run.

I don't know the final score, but it was a close game.
Hydrating.
I do a pretty good job of paying attention to the game.. most of the time.

I played third base except for one inning.  Twice a ball was hit and it came to my part of the field.  Once I threw the ball to first base for the out.  The other time, the runner jut barely beat my throw.

I had to leave at 3:30pm so I could get to church by 4:15pm.   We made it with a few minutes to spare.  I wore my baseball uniform which was just fine.

All evening I played with Julian and Xavier until I had to come inside.
GGM finally lost her Bookworm game.  Her score was over 1.9 BILLION !!! The last picture Barbara took was this one when the score was 1.7 billion.  GGM said, "No problem.  I will start over."
Twice they have scored over a half billion and they thought they would never do that again, but the new goal is 2 billion!

I woke up at Alyssa's at 10am.  I never sleep that late and we didn't stay awake that late.

We had a bunch of kids playing around here all day playing all kinds of things.  Mommy called me in at 3:45pm to get cleaned up so we could go to the neighborhood chili cook-off.  We took Alyssa and Cole with us. Around 5pm Barbara was getting into her car to come to the chili cook-off, when she noticed my bike and ramp were not put away.  Then she noticed more toys that she put away:  two footballs, a basketball, a tennis ball, 3 whiffle balls, a bat, five floor mats that we were using as baseball bases, and three guns!!!!!
Normally I never leave my toys outside.  I know better.

At the cook-off there was a band of three men and the teenage girls were line-dancing.

There was a large castle bouncy house that boys my age jumped in.  Alyssa and the little kids played in the clubhouse.  Nine people brought chili and I sampled each one of them.  Mommy thought she would have to help me, but I went right up there, got a cup filled, added condiments and chowed down.  A couple of times, I gave my cup to my mom and she finished it for me, while I went to try another chili.
Mommy, Barbara, and I agreed that Miss Maribel's chili was the best.  Actually she gave credit to her husband, Dave.
The adults all sat around the chili tents and chatted.   We came home around 8pm.  I ate too much but had a good time anyway.
We read on Facebook this morning that Miss Maribel did win the chili cook-off.  We thought she should.

I was asleep around 9pm.

I wore my ostrich socks for crazy sock day.  A few kids in my class wore crazy socks but my teacher didn't.
I got in trouble on the bus.  We were not on our normal bus so Mr. Berry said we could sit anywhere.  Mr. Berry takes turns riding different buses to help maintain order on the buses.  I like him.  Well, I started in one seat and didn't like it, so I moved to a different seat, which I also didn't like, so I moved again.  Mr. Berry noticed this and he told me to stay put and that next time he rode on my bus I was to sit next to him, which is not a hard thing to do.  Like I said, I like him.

I quickly ate a bowl of cereal, then I ran off to play.  Austin's parents rode bikes with all of us to the park.  We had fun.  I was home well before dark.  None of the boys could play any more so I got Barbara to come outside and shoot baskets with me.  When we got tired, Barbara came up with several things we could do (all of which were about learning stuff), but I decided to see if Alyssa could play.  She could.  We played nicely at her house all evening and when it was time for me to go home, we decided to have a sleep over at her house.

I ate breakfast then Daddy took me to school early because I have running club today.  Barbara met us there with my running club shirt, my backpack, and my green shirt for Dr. Suess week.  Daddy gave Barbara my baseball bag and then I ran off to my running club.

Daddy had my bike in his truck.  He dropped it off at my house.

When I jump off the bus, Barbara always wants me to say something about my day.  Today I told her that Mrs. Havemann had to take her daughter to the eye doctor so we had a substitute for a short time at the end of the day.  Barbara really wants me to talk about something involving me, but she will take anything she can get.  Oh, I also told her I had nachos for lunch.
Alyssa and I had a bowl of cereal before running off to play on Austin's trampoline.  Barbara came to get me a few minutes before 5pm.  I changed into my practice uniform and cleats.  My coaches wanted me to arrive around 5:30 so they could warm me up.  They want me to practice pitching. I had a good practice.

Today was a day I had been looking forward to for at least six weeks.  I had a consequence (for a major infraction) that was supposed to end of Feb. 1st but I had to open my mouth, talk back, and say I wanted the consequence to last until July.   That cause the date to be changed to March 1st.  Well, that is today and I sure glad to be able to use our iPhones and iPads again.  I was only allowed to use them, in my house, to make phone calls and look at my pictures on them.  The other part of the consequence was I could not watch TV while eating.  I do remember what I did to deserve this consequence.  Barbara took a picture of what I did and hung it right over her bedroom light switch so we all saw it every time we left her room.  We took the picture down today.

Barbara's favorite consequence for me is no iPhone or iPad for me... for two reasons.  One I really miss not being able to use them.  The other reason is she doesn't like me to use them very much.   Mostly I watch baseball or other sports on them.  And sometimes I play a few games but not very much.  Mommy's consequences are not nearly as tough and long lasting.

Daddy brought me home to catch the bus.  Barbara was waiting for us with my Texas University shirt.
We were to wear our favorite college shirt.
At school during recess, a girl grabbed my shirt and it ripped!  Wow, look at the difference in my hair from before school and after school.  LOL
When I jumped off the bus, Barbara saw my shirt and she thought I had been in a fight!  She was glad to hear that the torn shirt happened during play.

I got an S- on my conduct grade.  My teachers comment was "difficulty staying focused on work and worrying about others.   I really need to try to focus on doing my work.

I ate some cereal and then ran off to play at Austin's.  My dad picked me up there and took me to my baseball practice.  I went home with him.
