Mommy took me to my 7:15am running club.

I had early dismissal today at 2pm so Barbara could take me to my yearly doctor check-up at 3:15pm.   Mimz met us at the doctor's office.
After Barbara checked in, she took our traditional picture of Mason sitting on the odd chairs in the middle of the waiting room.  I'm almost too big to sit on top of it.
My blood pressure was 111/74 and my temp was normal.  I weighed 67 pounds (64 percent) and am 4'5.54' tall (62%).  My eye sight is 20/30 which is good.   Dr. Muehe said I have excellent hearing but that doesn't mean I will pay attention.  (Very true.)
I had my flu shot at school so no injections for me today.   The nurse made a copy of the record of my flu shot I had at school.  My next injections will be when I am 11-years-old.  It sounds like I will get four shots then.  Yikes!
I answered his questions about everything.  I said I brush my teeth twice a day and I brush well.  Barbara said I don't brush well enough or long enough.  Dr. Muehe said it is important for me to brush all my teeth and to really try to do a good job.

Dr. Muehe had me stand with my back to him and asked me to bend over and touch my toes... and not to fart!  lol   He was checking to make sure my spine is straight.

I'm supposed to continue taking the Montelukast chew-able tablet for allergies and to help me from having asthma-like symptoms.

I played with my friends, mostly at Brandon's home.   While I was walking home before dark, my dad picked me up and took me to the park to toss around a football.  He brought me home around 7:15pm.

Julian had to go home at 8am.  Anthony, Julian, and I were awake early so he made it home in plenty of time.  Anthony and I had pancakes for breakfast, then we went back to my room to rest some more and hang out.

We were outside shooting baskets when Grandma and Papa came to get tables for Grandma's scrape-booking sale.  They didn't need our help so we went over to Anthony's house.

I spend the afternoon playing this lots of neighborhood boys.  We played at my house, Anthony's, Brandon's, and Austins.  We played football and basketball and jumped on my pogo stick at my house.

I had good behavior all day.

Saturday, October 27, 2018

I was up early.  I can play with my friends now.  I'm so glad about that.  I played with Brandon most of the day and whoever else was around.
Before lunch I played catch with Mommy in the front yard.

Our evening plans changed because of my behavior.  I threw a fit late in the afternoon.  Mommy, Barbara, Mimz, and Daddy were upset by my behavior.  I did not get to go Trunk or Treating.   Mommy and I were going to the Pond and we were almost ready to pull out of the driveway when Anthony and Julian came over wanting to play.  I really wanted to stay home and play.  I promised to not misbehave.  Mommy went to the Pond without me and she returned after she made her delivery to Grandma. We three boys played football.  We were well-behaved.
Barbara told us UT football game was going to start at 7pm and the fourth game of the World Series was starting then also.  We all agreed we wanted to watch these games.  We had our traditional can of Sour Cream and Onion Pringles.
As it turns out we were all more interested in our phones and tablets than the games.  Barbara agreed to let us have a sleep-over if we would be relatively quiet so we would not disturb GGM.  We stayed downstairs until 9pm.  GGM was in her room just 20 feet from us and she agreed to let us know if we were to noisy.

In my room we pulled out my lower trundle bed.  Barbara told Anthony and me how to put a sheet on the pull-out bed.  Julian slept on a sleeping bag.
We decided to style our hair....
... and acted silly and laughed a bunch while doing that.
At 11pm it was lights out, but at midnight we were still talking and giggling, so Mommy came in and told us stop having fun and to go to sleep.

We didn't argue the entire evening.  We were very well-behaved.

Today was the last day of  Red Ribbon Week.  This is a campaign to promote making wise choices, saying "No" to drugs and alcohol, and living a healthy life.
I wore my Metzler spirit shirt and my crazy socks were the ostrich socks Mimz bought me at Disney World.
I took my Main Idea Bag with five items in it.  They all had to do with transportation: a car, boat, airplane, motorcycle, and a helicopter. My classmates had to guess what they had in common.  Their guess was right.

I got my report card today.  I got E's for all of my behavior grades, so I guess my recent bad behavior will be a part of my next report card.  Hopefully I will be so good the rest of the 9 weeks that I will get all E's again.  I will add a picture of my report card as soon as I get one.

I had a baseball scrimmage game at 6pm at the Farm League instead of just a practice.  My fans were Mommy, Barbara, and Mimz.   The other team was short two players so my team took turns filling in the outfield for them.  I don't know if score was kept but I am sure we scored the most.  These kids were smaller than my teammates.  Normally the other team is much bigger than we are.

I had some good plays.  While playing third base a ball was hit right to me.  I caught it and easily threw it to first base for a double play.
I pinch ran for Isiah two times.  The first time I did make it all around the bases.  The second time I was tagged out about three feet from home plate.

I had at least one good hit.  It flew past the first baseman to right field and I made a double.  I fell at first base and second base.  I said it was really slippery.  Then I fell at third base.  I sort of hurt my knee.  I didn't slide at home plate but I was sort of limping every once in a while.

Mommy neck has been hurting for the past few days and the cold air was making it hurt more, so she went home shortly before the game was over.  Barbara brought me home.

I've been really good for the past several days, so Mommy finally let me play with my Playstation since it is the weekend and I can stay up later than normal.  We all hope I have learned my lesson about how important it is for me to be respectful to all people of all ages.

Thursday, October 25, 2018

Mimz brought me home in plenty of time for me to catch the bus.  Today we were to wear camo, but we don't have any now.  I out grew them.  It's okay.  Tomorrow I will wear my school spirit shirt and my crazy ostrich socks.
I had good behavior at school today.  And I brought home two spirit sticks; one for Perfect Attention and the other for Great Conduct.  That Great Conduct must have been earned before I started having a problem with my behavior.

I brought home my school pictures.  Mommy got enough to share with everyone.
Mommy made this picture holder for her desk and she put this school picture of me in it.

I know my spelling words, so I ought to get a 100 on my spelling test.  I knew my words last week, but I misspelled "threw" so I now know I need to recheck each word when I am finished spelling it.

My first third grade report card... the worst grades I have ever had.  Only one A and the rest Bs, but two were just barely Bs.

I was off to school this morning with the promise that I would be aware of my behavior and be the best behaved boy I could be.  I know my grounding depends on how well behaved Mrs. Gardner feels I am being.

Mrs. Gardner gave me a high-five because my behavior was much improved today compared to the last few days.  I'm hoping that means I am not grounded..... well, I was wrong.  It takes more than one day to pay for my bad behavior, in fact several days... if not more.

Mimz couldn't take me to my baseball practice in the cages, so Barbara took me and stayed until it was over.  My dad arrived just before it was over so he could take me to Mimz' home.

I had said I didn't want to go home with my dad, because I was afraid he would be mad at me, but I didn't have a choice.  He had a stern talk with me about my behavior at school.

I had had my shower and was eating dinner when Mimz got home.  I did my spelling words with her.  I was in bed and asleep before 9pm.

Tuesday, October 23, 2018

Today was the day for us to wear a travel/destination shirt to school.  I wore a shirt Mimz bought for me while she was on her vacation a couple of weeks ago to South Carolina.  I love the shirt.

My mom got a call from Mrs. Gardener, who told her I had been talking way to much, and I was disrespectful to a teacher.  Mrs. Gardener was upset.  This upset my mom also.

When I got home from school I found out I am not playing with my friends and I'm not using electronics, and this will last until I get a great report from Mrs. Gardener that I am exhibiting excellent behavior.

Barbara took me to my batting lesson with Jimmy.  I did pretty well.  We are going to change a couple of things to see if I can get even better.

I came home, studying my spelling words, and did some math on the computer.  I'm am in third place in my class on this math program.

I was in bed at 8:15pm and asleep by 8:30pm.  It seems that when I am in trouble I have much better behavior than I normally do.

Today was the first meeting of the Huskies on the Run running club.  I got up at 6:30am to make sure I would be able to get to the gym by 7:15am.   My clothes were laid out and my backpack was ready so all I had to do was get dressed (I wanted to wear leggings so Mimz got me some new ones), eat breakfast, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and brushed my hair.  I was ready before 7am and made it to the gym with five minutes to spare.
I ran only 6 laps this day.  We had to listen to rules and stuff before we could start running.  I already knew it all because I was in the club last year.
Today was the first day of Red Ribbon Week.  I wore a red shirt.

(There was more written here but it disappeared... I can't recall what it said.)

Sunday, October 21, 2018

Mommy and I left home at 7:45am and Barbara followed in her car.  I needed to be at a baseball park at 8:15am to warm up.  I had games at 9am and 1 pm.  I had fun even though we lost both games.  Scores were 21-1 and 25-0.  I think these were elite teams.

I played left field the first game, until they needed to try another pitcher.  I tried my hand at it and I did manage to strike out a couple of boys and I threw other strikes but the other team managed to score on my too.  I think we tried different four pitchers.  It's hard when not having a really good pitcher on the team.

The second game I mostly played second base.  I like playing in the infield because there is a lot more action.  I only got to bat twice.  First time I struck out.  Second time I had a good hit, but it was up high and the left field managed to catch it.

I left with Daddy.  We went out to eat, then he brought me home.

I played football in the front yeard with neighborhood boys.  When it got dark which happens before 7pm now, I came in and played Fortnight.

Saturday, October 20, 2018

I asked Mommy not to wake me up at 6:30am when she got up to open the garage sale at 7am.  She let me sleep.  It was almost 10am before I got up.

I didn't want to help with the garage sale.  I wanted to play Fortnight.  Andy and his family came over.  Andy had a few repairs to do for us, like repair a broken board on our old work bench in the garage and fix two crooked drawers in Barbara's computer desk and change a couple of ceiling lights.  Anna Kate and Bradley played with my MegaBlocks which I will give to them when they are ready to take them to their home.

I played football with Brandon, Anthony, and Julian all afternoon.  I came inside about 5:30pm.
We don't know what days these baseball pictures were taken, ...
...but they are good action shots of me, so I wanted to put them on my blog.

 My baseball team.

My school pictures for third grade... several backgrounds, with my same picture.

Kids at bus stop.

I woke up at 6:45am before the alarm which is set for 7am.  I like Fridays: cinnamon rolls at breakfast and lots of specials meaning art, music, PE).   And we wear our spirit shirts.  And the best thing about this Friday is tonight is Husky Halloween.  I still hope I can go.  I need to talk to my dad.
After school I called my dad and he said I could go to my school's Halloween event.  I  played football with my neighborhood boys until time for dinner and getting dressed in my football uniform.   We went to the school at 6:15pm.  There were supposed to be seven boys who came dressed in football uniforms... only two of us showed up, but we still played and a couple other boys came to play at bit later.

I did get some candy before we left at 8pm.

I was wet and hot and sticky and I had to take a shower as soon as I got home.

I played Fortnight while Mommy and Barbara worked on the garage sale we are going to have in the morning.

Thursday, October 18, 2018

Daddy brought me home in time to catch the bus.  I decided I want to take my football to school.
The only person missing from this picture is Cole.  Left to right: Julian, Jay, Victoria, Alyssa, Grayson, Matthew, Mason, Serena,  and Capris.

I had nothing to say about school except that I could hardly wait until Friday because it is Husky Halloween after school and I want to go play football there just like I did last year.
I tried on my Halloween costume to make sure it fit me.
I'm all set for Huskey Halloween.

I studied my spelling words as quickly as I possibly could then I ran off to play.  I played with Matthew and Julian until dark.

I wanted to play Fortnite but it needs to update for lots of hours and Mommy wants us to watch the Astro's.

Daddy says I need to go to baseball practice instead of Husky Halloween.

Wednesday, October 17, 2018

I decided I didn't need to take my football to school every day  because there were several other boys who took theirs to play with during recess.  One less thing for me to keep track of.

My conduct grade was an S for the week.  I asked Barbara if that was terrible.  She said it wasn't terrible but I should strive to earn an E because that would mean I am trying to be a good citizen and a good student, one that teachers will be glad to have in their classroom.

I played football with Matthew, Brandon, and Austin until 4:50pm when Barbara stopped to pick me up and take me to meet Mimz
at Sprout's so Mimz could take me to my baseball cages practice.

I brought home a letter saying I made the Huskies on the Run club.  We have practice on Monday mornings at 7:15am.  We are to wear comfortable clothing, athletic shoes, and a smile.

 Oct 15, 2018

We had our flu shots given to us today.  It wasn't bad, but my arm is a little sore.  They told us to move our arms a lot, which of course, I do with all the playing I do.

October 16, 2018
This morning was the first cool weather we have had on a school day.  I did agree to wear a jacket but not long pants.  It was 56 degrees, it needs to be a lot colder than that to wear long pants.

Nothing interesting happened at school.

Normally I am home by 3:45 or soon after that, but today it was 4:30pm before my bus got me home.  The train track gates were down so traffic was almost at a standstill.   The buses were late getting to the school.  Also there were lots of places with no electricity and lots of traffic lights were not working in this part of town.

Grayson's dad and Xavier and Julian's mom both called Barbara to ask her to get there kids off the bus, because they were stuck in traffic.   Grayson's dad got here right before the bus arrived.  Julian's mom got here at 5:30pm.  My mom had to fight traffic also.
Julian and I ate some spaghetti for an after-school snack.  Alyssa came a little later and she joined us at the table.
We played a rough football game.  Mr. Mark told Barbara when he was a boy it was called Kill the Ball-carrier.
We all piled on top of the ball-carrier.

Sunday, October 14, 2018

Mommy and I came home form The Pond around 11am.
I just played with neighbors the rest of the day.

Saturday, October 13, 2018

I had a 10am football game this morning.

Bridget and baby Catherine and Grandma came to my house this morning to see if Bridget wanted some things, mainly for Catherine that she might like to have.  She took several things.

Around 2pm Mommy and I drove up to the lake to visit with Bridget and Chris and Andy.  Papa cooked hamburgers for all of us.

Friday, October 12, 2018

I an't think of anything interesting about school today.

I jumped off the bus, Barbara gave me details about my baseball practice and football game before I ran off to play.
At 5:15PM I came home in time to eat, change into football uniform and get to baseball practice at 6pm.  It was a fun practice because all three of our coaches played on the field with us.

At 7:30pm we practiced football, then walked a short distance to our football game field.  We lost and I didn't do anything great.  Again the boys were a head taller than each of us.

I came home and played on my Play Station 4.  I stayed up late.

Thursday, October 11, 2018

Daddy and I over slept but we hurried to get me to school.  I was just a few minutes  tardy.

No football or baseball events for me tonight, so I get to play play play.

Mimz has been on vacation in South Carolina.  Hurricane Michael has been devastating Florida, Alabama, and Georgia and has been going through South Carolina.  Mimz said she is safe and is enjoying her vacation.

Wednesday, October 10, 2018

It was an uneventful morning and an unevenful day at school.
Every Wednesday we get a behavior report...
...I am talking way too much.  I need to really work on that problem.

I played with Matthew and Austin and a bunch of other boys.

Barbara took me to my baseball practice and stayed to watch.  The entire time we practiced batting.  We had a bunch of fun contests.  Daddy came near the end and he took me to Mimz home so I could spend the night with him.
I have been using this shoe rack since I first started wearing shoes.  My great grandfather, John Bates, made it for me.

Now the shelves are too small for my big shoes.  We need to find me a larger shoe rack.

Tuesday, October 9, 2018

Daddy got me home in plenty of time to catch the school bus.  He stayed and played catch with me and some of my friends.

Mrs. Cat was my substitute music teacher today.  I gave her a hug when I saw her.  She has been my favorite teacher so far.
Julian got hurt on the playground during recess.  they thought he might have broken his knee cap or his leg.  I saw him sitting in a wheel chair and I went up and gave him a pat on the back.  As it turns out he didn't break anything.  He just badly bruised his knee cap.

I had baseball practice from 6 to 8pm at French Elementary school.  We kept playing even though it was dark. Lots of fun.

It was 10pm before I fell asleep.

Monday, October 8, 2018

Today is a student holiday... no school!

GGM and Barbara sat up tables for our October 20th garage sale.   The plan is that this is the last one... at least for a long time.  We hope to dispose of some large things.

Sunday, October 7, 2018

Mimz left this morning to go on vacation.  Daddy and I spent the day together.
I had two baseball games at 2 and 4pm.  Daddy and Barbara were my only fans.  Everyone else was out-of-town.

I mostly played left field.  I played third base and right field some. I had a couple of fielding plays.  A ball was hit to left field way over my head.  I ran almost to the fence to get the ball.  I  made a super throw to third base.  The runner on second was headed to third base.  He realized he had to go back to second.  The third baseman and the second baseman had a run-down and were successful in getting him out after throwing the ball back and forth a couple of times.   My other fielding play was in right field.  The ball came down the first base line.  I ran to get there and I did catch the ball before it hit the ground, but it popped out of my glove.  I tried and I got there, just didn't hang onto the ball.

I only had three at-bats during both games.  My first at-bat I walked.  I stole second base, third base, and home.  My second at-bat I had two foul balls and the struck out.  My third at-bat I stuck out again.  I am a good hitter, I don't know why I don't get more hits. Isaiah has been using my new bat.  He likes it.

Daddy and I watched The Cowboys and the Texans play tonight.  GGM and Barbara have always been Cowboy fans but they think they must root for the Texans today.  The Texans won in overtime.  It was an exciting game.

No school tomorrow so I can stay up late and sleep in as long as I want.
At The Pond, Grandma and Papa had there house ready to watch OU football.

Saturday, October 6, 2018

I had two make-up football games this morning at 9 and 10am.  We play in the Farm League and the games were played at U-score.  My fans were Daddy and Barbara.  Mommy and Grandma were out of town and Mimz was stick.  (Mimz goes on vacation on Monday, so I sure hope she gets well soon.)
Meeting with the refs before the game.

We play 5 on 5.  Five players on the field for each team.  My team has ten boys on it, but only five us were there for the first game, so we all five played the entire game.  We lost the game but we played hard and well.  It seems most of the boys on the other teams are bigger than my teammates are.

For game 2 there were only four boys on my team there.  That means the four of us played five boys on the other team and they had a couple extra boys to make substitutions.  Well, we lost big time, but we played well.  I was a real work hours and I was in on most every play.
Looking at play book with Coach Bryan.

Next on the list of today's events was the OU vs. Texas football game.  Texas won by three points: 48 to 45!  My dad and I were happy.  My mom's family all root for OU.   They probably all said, Oh, well, we will try again next year.
Next Daddy took me to Johnathan's birthday party at a trampoline place.  That was lots of fun.

Friday, October 5, 2018

Today was a student holiday at school.  I spent the morning with Mimz and Daddy.  Daddy brought me home around 11am.  He hooked up my PlayStation 4 in Mommy's room.  I spent most of the day playing Fortnight.  Barbara would have preferred me doing anything else, but I enjoyed playing this game.

I put on my baseball practice uniform and Barbara took me to my practice which ran from 6 to 8pm.  Daddy arrived around 7pm.

Daddy and I were going to spend the night at Wes' home.  I brought my PlayStation game.

Thursday, October 4, 2018

Daddy brought me home with plenty of time for me to catch the bus.
We ran a mile in PE.  My time was 7:04 which means I ran fast enough to make the Running Club again this year AND the Dream Mile event!   I was really proud to bring home this piece of paper.

This year practice will be on Monday mornings, starting Oct 22nd at 7:15am.

Barbara had to watch Grayson and his two little sister for a couple of hours so I stayed home part of the time, then I went off to find my other friends.  They all  came to my home and we played football in the front yard.  Grayson joined us.  It was Julian, Xavier, Anthony, Matthew, and Austin.   The ground was soggy and we sort of tore up the grass.  Barbara remembered Papa saying to himself when his children were little, "We are raising children, not grass."

Daddy came to get me around 5pm so all the kids went home.
