I had to wake up early because Mimz and I had a long drive to take me home in time for me to catch the bus.  We made it in plenty of time.

Mrs. Meredith was sick, so we had a substitute teacher.  We have had this sub before.

I was very happy for my friend, Sam.  She got her very first Sticker for Off The Chart behavior today.  I have had several of them.

I brought home my field day shirt today.  Field day is Friday and I can't wait.  The entire school will be outside most of the day.  Oh, what fun.

I went off to school with a smile.  I am buying my lunch today.  I wasn't okay with that at first, but I quickly got over it.

I jumped off the bus with a smile on my face.  I quickly unzipped my backpack and pulled out my behavior chart.... Purple = Top of the Chart!  I also brought home my report card.  I had one S+ in Reading and all the rest were E's.  Great report card.

I played with all the kids today, but one or two at a time.  Jackson came inside and we played on the x- box for a short time, then we shot baskets.  I played with Anthony and Alyssa until he had to leave for baseball practice.  And then I played with Cole.  We seem to play nicer when it is smaller groups.  Too many chiefs in bigger groups, I guess.

I read my new Easy Reader book:  Maria And Her Teacher.  I did some homework and took a quick bath.  I didn't want to go to bed at 8:30 but I ended up falling asleep before 9pm.

 A funny thing:  Anna Kate is afraid of this little stuffed bug.  We have no idea why it scares her.  We have a problem keeping Anna Kate away from this phone.  GGM put this little bug by the telephone and now Anna Kate will not go near that phone.  So cute.

While I was at school, Grandma and Papa took my great-grandparents and Barbara to see the property where they are going to build a new home.  They are going to build an apartment for Barbara.

 This will be the view from Barbara's side porch, looking out at the 30 acre pond.  Barbara has visions of sitting on her porch rocking and reading and enjoying the view.

Happy 16th Birthday, Morgan!   Mimz was happy that she got to celebrate with Morgan and family at a restaurant.

Bridget came in to wake us up for church.  No one said anything about the Easter Bunny, but I got up and started looking around..... as soon as I saw a nice little pile of toys and Easter candy, I hollered, "The Easter Bunny has been here!"

We all looked through my goodies.

Andy, Bridget, Chris, Mommy and I went to church before we packed up to head to New Brunsfield to Kristan's parents home.

 The Easter Bunny came to see Anna Kate too.  She got some toys and there were eggs hidden outside with little baby snacks in them.  I helped her find her eggs.  She would squeal when she found an egg and she wanted to open the eggs rather than keep looking for more.

 It was decided that Anna Kate would spend this next week with her grandparents.

We visited for a couple of hours before we drove home.

At my home I found an Easter basket with one egg in it.  I opened the egg and read a note saying, "Happy Easter, Mason.  Look for 12 Easter eggs hidden in your yard."  All the eggs had coins in them.  One had three pennies, most had quarters.  That was fun.  One egg was almost buried under some mulch, but I did spot it.  We forgot to take pictures of me hunting for eggs.

After I found my 12 eggs, I ran off to see if Anthony and Alyssa could play.  We played at my house, then their house, back and forth.  Mr. Brad was working in his yard and he hollered at us, asking if we wanted to help him.  We said we did.  So he had three kids raking the grass clipping that were in the street.  I showed them where we dump the clippings.   Brad let me use his edger.  He was watching me and I had on goggles.   I haven't worked with him for a long time.  He said I helped him for years, until I made kid friends.

I was not ready to go to bed at 8:30pm, but I was asleep by 9.

I was at Fiesta Texas with Mommy, Bridget, Chris, and Andy from 10am to 5pm.  We rode lots of rides.

My favorite was the white water rapids.  This picture is of Chris, me, Mommy, Bridget, and Andy.   I rode one big roller coaster with Andy.  It was scary but I still liked it.  We also shots some basketballs and guess who won a basketball????    ME!!

We went to Buffalo Wild Wings to eat and watch the OU vs. Oregon basketball game.  OU won and goes to the Final Four now. 

The alarm went off at 4:40am.  I kept on sleeping until 5:15am.  I was going to wear my pj's in the car to start our vacation in San Antonio. At 5:45am we drove over to Andy's home to get into his new pickup and let him do the driving.

Around 6:15am we headed out.  Anna Kate and I were in the back seat with Mommy.  I had my Astro's pillow which helped hold up my head and a soft warm blanket.  Anna Kate and I both slept for a couple of hours.

We ate pancakes and eggs at Mike and Sandy's home.

Andy and I went exploring in a golf cart.

 We walked on paths...

... and around a lake.  I still had on my pajamas.

 Then Kristan, Sandy, Mommy, and I went shopping at an outlet mall.  We didn't buy anything.  We ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant.
Mike babysat Anna Kate.  Andy and Chris went to play golf.   We went shopping again after Bridget arrived.  We bought me some new red basketball shoes.

Andy came with Bridget, Chris, Mommy, and me back to Bridget's apartment in San Antonio.  We went bowling and I used the bumpers.

We played two games and I got one spare.  I really enjoy bowling.  

Mommy and I slept in Bridget's spare bedroom.

I woke up at Mimz and she got me home in time to get on the bus.

After school Anthony had chores to do.  Jackson and I played on my x-box.  Jackson showed me how to play one of my games that he also has.  It sure helped having his help.

Mommy and I got my clothes packed for a three day vacation to San Antonio to see Bridget and to go to Fiesta Texas.  I chose to take my small basketball and a light saber and one action figure as the only toys I wanted to take.  Part of the time Mommy was packing, I sat on Barbara's bed talking to her and playing an iPad game.  We also watched OU play basketball in the Sweet Sixteen tournament.

I bathed, put on powder, and pj's.  A couple minutes later I was in bed and a couple minutes after that I was asleep.

I went off to school happily, hoping to get another "off the chart" for behavior.

My behavior was Red = Great Job.  Everyone is always pleased with Red.

Mimz, GGM, GGF, Barbara, and Baby Anna Kate were waiting for me when I jumped off the bus.  After looking through my school papers, Mimz and I went to get me a snack, like a corn dog, and then we went to soccer practice.

Barbara took Anna Kate back to her home.  Something AK now love to do is play in the car, so for the next hour we sat in the car and she pushed every possible button, and climbed from the front to the back, and climbed from her car seat to my car seat.  She cried when her mommy arrived and took her out of the car.   Maybe Barbara will let her play in the car some tomorrow.

Mimz was waiting with everyone for me to get off the bus after school.

A funny thing:  AK usually runs around exploring everything, but today as soon as Barbara took her out of her car seat, she hung onto her for several minutes.  We don't understand why.

Mimz helped me get dressed for soccer practice.  She stopped to get me a snack to eat before we went to practice.

After practice it was dinner, homework, bath, and bed.
 

I came home so excited to show Barbara,  GGM, and GGF my behavior folder.  They knew it had to be super great for me to be that excited.   I earned a sticker which means "off the chart!"  Barbara asked me what I did to get so many "clip up's."  The one I could remember was in P.E. I helped someone and my P.E. teacher told Mrs. Meredith, who told me to "clip up."

Anthony had to do chores after school, so I spent more time with Anna Kate, GGM, and Barbara.

 We did a mile run at school.  Five laps make a mile, so I have five ink marks on my hand.

Anna Kate heard the lawn mowers so GGM and I helped her climb up so she could look out the window.  I remember I used to move from window to window to watch the mowers.   She likes to do the same things I liked to do when I was a little kid.

 I ate two bowls of spaghetti with chili and beans and a bit later two small bowls of mac and cheese and a bit later three small scoops of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream.  Of course, AK ate whatever I ate.

I played catch with Anthony and his dad.  GGF watched. 

It was our first day back at school after Spring Break. We wondered if I would be able to get up around 7am.    I did it, with no problem.

I told my teacher I was exactly 6 1/2 years old today.  She was glad to know that.  I am the oldest child in my class.  We also talked about it now being Spring.

We did not review anything, like our flash cards.  We all know our sight words pretty well.
I bought home a Easy Reader book:  We Make Cookies.  I am to read it every night this week and next week I will bring home another book.

I played with all the neighborhood kids this afternoon.  Alyssa and I were hungry early so we had some spaghetti with chili as soon as Barbara had it ready.  I also had a piece of Lazy Daisy Oatmeal Cake.  I have not eaten it before, but now I think it is one of my favorite cakes.  GGM and Barbara both say it is their favorite cake.  And I ate an orange and drank milk.

I was inside before dark, eating again.  I chose to take a shower which is quicker than a bath.  I read my Easy Reader and did some homework.  Barbara told me a story instead of reading to me.  Funny thing: it was a story I have heard a hundred times.  On our long drives home from School in the Pines I would ask Barbara to tell me the story about Fireman Sam and the Wicked Witch.  I could remember the names of all of the fireman.  Barbara didn't remember two of them.   Oh she was so very tired of that story, but tonight she told it to me just to remind me about it.   While I ate a snack, we talked about Car Town.  Remember it was the "town" we built on our pool table.  It was there for a full two years.  We talked about all the stores, and events that we played.  GGM, Barbara, and I played several hours every day every day every day.  I brushed my teeth, then I watched the iPad for 20 minutes before lights out.    

I was with my dad this morning.

Played nicely all afternoon with Anthony either at my house or at his.

I helped Mommy put together a tower fan.

I was freezing so GGM made me some hot chocolate, actually two cups of hot chocolate.

My team won our soccer game.  I scored my only goal at the last second of the game

 After the soccer game, we went back to Mimz' home to get me ready for Eli's 6th birthday party.

None of my friends were at home this morning, so Barbara and I took this opportunity to see if we could find me a 5-pound ball and a Pogo Stick.  We looked at Academy and Target.  Academy does carry them but they were out of stock.  George, my 14-year-old neighbor says his dad had him shoot a five pound ball 20 times a day at his basketball goal.  It made his stronger.   Jackson has a Pogo stick and I want to work at learning how to jump on one.

We watched a little March Madness.  OU is still in the running to win the championship.

There is a TV show called Lab Rats that I like to watch on the iPad.  Barbara kept offering to read to me, or tell me a story, or play a game or work a puzzle but I didn't want to. 

Barbara insisted I wait until pm to call Mimz because she would be volunteering at the hospital until then.  At 1pm on the dot I called  Mimz to see if she was ready to get me.  I'm hoping her neighbor kids will be home and can play.  Mimz was eating lunch with her friends.  She said as soon as she finished she would meet us at Sprouts.

GGF, Barbara, and I drove to meet Mimz at 1:30p.  We must have hit every red light and since I was in a hurry, it seemed like it took forever!

Knox was home, so I had a friend to play with. 
At sunset Jake, Knox' dad, took us to a bridge to watch bats fly out from under it.  Oh, what fun.

Mimz took this picture of my Mutton Busting trophy, belt buckle, and ribbon.  I am sure a lucky boy to get to participate is so many activities.

I slept almost 12 hours last night... 8:30pm to 8:30am.
I started coughing again, so Mimz gave me more medicine.  I didn't have a fever and I felt good.  Once the coughing spell was over I was fine, but I think I will keep taking medicine for a few days to make sure I get over this.

At 1pm Mimz and I met Maritza, Eli, and Jacob at Champions Skating Rink.  Mimz had a free pass.  I am a much better skater than either Eli or Jacob but I am older and have had a lot more practice than they have.  I wore my in-line skates.  Eli wore my roller skates.  I skate almost every time I am at Mimz' home.  Mimz bought us a cheese pizza.  Yummy.

GGF and Barbara surprised me and showed up at the skating rink to watch us.  Around 3pm I went home with Barbara.  I played basketball with George and Anthony most of the evening.   Mommy and GGF stayed outside and watched us.

There were a few pieces of pizza left.  Barbara took them home.  When we got home we found GGM just waking up from a nap.  Barbara brought her a piece of pizza in bed.  She enjoyed that little treat.  Later GGF, Mommy, and I finished off the pizza.  We also ate spaghetti for dinner.

When it got dark, Anthony came inside with me and we played with my X-box.

Barbara and GGM bought a new dishwasher today.  Ours played out and it was not very old.  The first dishwasher in this house lasted 25 years.  We hope our new one lasts a good long while.

I woke up around 8am and found out Kristan and Barbara wanted to take Anna Kate and me to get our picture taken with the Easter Bunny, so I got dressed in my nice Easter shirt and shorts.

We arrived at Anna Kate's home in time to help her get dressed.  Mimz showed up around 9:30am and we piled into Kristan's car and drove to The Woodland's Mall.  We didn't have much of a wait to have our picture taken.

I went first and smiled nicely sitting next to the bunny.

Then I tried to hold Anna Kate but she didn't want to have anything to do with the Easter Bunny.

He tried to hold her but she was determined to get to her mommy.  Last year she took her picture nicely with the Easter Bunny and next year she will probably be okay but she is at that age that she is scared of strangers.

The line was long to pay for our pictures, so Mimz and I took AK for a couple of long stroller rides.  Mimz bought us each a cookie and she also saw a pair of shoes on sale for me and we bought them.  I'm a lucky boy.

 Anna Kate and Mimz watched me ride up and down the escalator several times. 

 Finally we got to leave.

We planned to take our pictures with bluebonnets but we couldn't find the Bluebonnet Meadow in the park.  AK was getting tired so we decided to try another day. I went home with Mimz.

Knox was not home, so I entertained myself at Mimz' home until it was time for us to go to my soccer practice.  Only Eli and I showed up for practice, so Mimz and Maritiza played with us and we had a good workout.

We went to Bahama Bucks after soccer practice.  We had fun playing with a Kenga game.
 I had a bad coughing spell coming home from practice, so Mimz gave me some medicine. 
I was tried and asleep by 8:30pm.

I woke up at Mimz home and thought about the fun day we had planned.

Knox was going to spend the day with us.  So he came over and we played with a building set until it was time for us to meet the three neighbor girls and their cousins at the park.

We took a picnic lunch and bikes, skates, and scooters.  We sure had a fun day with all the kids.  

Back at Mimz' home, she told Knox and me to strip and get into the tub.  We covered the bathroom floor with all of our throw clothes and and a fun time playing in the tub.


Grandma had busy day taking Barbara to some medical procedures coming to get me from Mimz,  and then taking GGF to a doctor appointment.  Then she had to go to work instead of spending time with me and Papa.

 Papa came to my home and played basketball with me.

 For dinner we went to Chic-a-fil and I played on the playground for a long time.
