I slept in, well until 8am.  I had to wait until 10am to go see if Anthony could play.  I spent part of my waiting time looking at photos of me.  I still like to see all the snapshots Barbara and others take of me.

Papa and Grandma stopped by on their way to the airport.  It is already time for Papa to head back to Nigeria.  I showed them my Valentine's box.

I had a choice, go with Mommy to get the oil changed in her car, or play with my friends.  There is no doubt which I chose.  I spent most of the day outside playing with Anthony and Jackson.  Mostly we played football.  It's a wonder one of us hasn't gotten hurt.

When Jackson told Barbara he had a basketball game at 2pm and it was in the Woodlands, she asked me if I would like to go.  Of course, I wanted too, so she took me.  Jackson really hustled and helped his team win.  I want to play basketball on a team now.  Jackson was very very pleased that we came.

Mr Mark and Miss Keisha invited me to go with their family to Burroughs Park for an outing.

Anthony and me running full blast, just like we do around our homes.  Anthony's parents told my mom that they really enjoy having me with their family.  I am polite, and mind what they say, and the kids like me too.  We stopped to eat some chicken nuggets at some restaurant.

Bridget gave me a first grade activity book for Christmas.  Well, this evening, Barbara and I sat down with that book and I worked ten pages.

I didn't want to stop.  We put a sticker on each page I finished.

We read part of my library book, Sled Dogs Run.

Mommy and I started decorating a box for me to take to school for my classmates to put the Valentines they give me.   I also need to sign Valentines for me to give to them.

It was a busy, fun filled day.

I decided I wanted to take my lunch, so I took a lunchable, a banana, a drink, and a surprise.  I won't know what the surprise is until lunch, unless I peek while riding the bus to school.

Anthony and I played football in my front yard.  Anna Kate sat on the flowerbed edge and watched us for a long time.  She sure does like me.

Mimz and I stopped at the doughnut shop on our way to my home to get me on the school bus.  We gave some to GGM.  I bet there will be some left for me to snack on after school.

I was not in a good mood for a period of time before I got onto the bus.  I wanted to stay out in the cold.  Mimz agreed to sit in her car with me until the bus arrived, but when Jackson came to the bus stop I got out and played.  Bad mood over as quickly as it started.

I hugged Barbara when I got off the bus, then I wanted to run play with Jackson and Anthony.  A snack would have to wait. 

It was a routine morning and school day.  It was a routine Wednesday, with Mimz at my home to take me home with her for the evening and night.

This morning I had an important mission to do when I got to school.  I had a note that I had to take to the office.  It said I needed early dismissal to go to the dentist.  I did my job, and the office lady put a big neon green sticker on my shirt that said Early Dismissal.

At 2:30pm the office called my teacher and she sent me to the office where I found Barbara and GGF waiting to take me to my six month dentist check-up.

GGF waited in the reception area of the dentist office, while Barbara went with me for my check-up. 

The first thing we did was take an x-ray. I had to stand very still in the middle of this big machine, which moved all around me. 

I did it perfectly.

The hygienist cleaned my teeth.  Barbara remembered her name was Carrie.  Barbara said she can remember because another word for cavity is carie.  Carrie told me to be sure to floss and brush twice a day.  I"m good about brushing twice a day, but don't always floss.  I'll try to do better.

Three of my six-year molars are completely in.  The fourth one is almost in.  When I come back in six months they will put a sealant on them.  The dentist said I will probably quit grinding my teeth when my permanent teeth come in. 

They took four more x-rays with a hand held machine. 

The dentist looked at them all and said my teeth are in good shape and are doing just what they are supposed to do.

The last thing was the hygienist painted some fluoride on my teeth.   I was a perfectly happy, friendly, talkative boy during the entire appointment.   I got two coins for the gum machines.  I choose two small balls.  We love those balls.  We play with them in the kitchen, making sure we cover the garbage disposal and move the trash can, so the balls don't go in those places.

I played with Anthony, Alyssa, and Cole at all three of our homes.  Mommy and I had to go over to Andy's to give him Anna Kate's car seat from Barbara's car.  Kristan's parents came to town at 1:30p this afternoon and will stay until 1:30pm on Friday, giving Barbara a break from babysitting. 

Again off to school happily.

I wanted two pieces of frozen raisin bread for a snack after school.  Anna Kate wanted me to share, so I ending up having to get another piece so we both would be fed.

I played with Anthony and Alyssa part of the time at their home and part of the time at my home.  We tried playing Old Maid, but Barbara needed to come referee.  

I enjoyed doing my homework.  I enjoyed listen to Barbara start reading The Polar Express, and my mom finishing it.

Today was a Star Wars day.  Daddy and I watched some of the original movie.  Then we took a break to play and work around the house.  I really am into Star Wars.  I have a Star War games with my Play Station and we played that some.   

I was off to school with a smile and i jumped off the bus with a smile.  GGF, Anna Kate, Mimz, and Barbara were all waiting and watching for me.  So many people love me.

Oh my!  Here is some fun news:  I was outside playing with my football and it hit my mouth.  I reached inside my mouth and pulled out my loose tooth.  I was so proud of myself.  I put my tooth in my little Tooth Fairy pillow and took it me to Daddy's house.  I hoped she would come visit me tonight while I slept.

I woke up happy and ready to get ready for school.  Mimz drove me home and I was happy to see GGM and Jackson outside when we drove up.  Jackson and I played football while Mimz and GGM visited while we waited for my bus.  Anthony and Alyssa did not ride this bus, which is unusual.

 I smelled brownies when I opened the door after getting off the bus.  I immediately ate two.  I said hi to everyone, hugged Anna Kate, and ran off to play with my gang of friends.  It was very windy and sort of chilly outside but my friends and I played a lot of football in my backyard.  I do have a big backyard for us to play in.  

Star Wars is very popular right now.  Daddy and I went to see a new Star Wars movie a couple of weeks ago and I very much enjoyed it.  I have Star Wars pajamas and a Star Wars shirt.  I have several Star Wars action figures.  I'm really into it.  So I am hoping this weekend Daddy and I will watch the original Star Wars movie.  Both Mimz and Barbara have seen the original Star Wars and that is the only Star Wars movie they have seen.   I'm looking forward to this weekend.

Andy came over to set up his Play Station 3 for me.  He is taking my X-box.   I love playing a football game he has.   Cole and I played on my Play Station until his grandma came to get him.
I had to stop playing to do my bedtime routine and do homework.  Then I had 15 minutes to play until 8:30pm...  TV off and lights out.  

Off to school.... then home from school.

I came home with a card that allows me to skate for free at the skating rink where I had my 6th birthday party.

Anna Kate and Barbara both have colds.  Hope they start feeling better soon.

Mimz picked me up after school.  I skated while Peyton rode his bike.  Then we played football.  After Peyton went home, I helped Mimz clean out her front flower bed.

After dinner I did a good job on my homework. While Daddy helped me with my bath, I asked him a hundred questions about the Star Wars movies.  By the time we finished up my bath I was ready for bed.  I was sound asleep before my dad had been gone for ten minutes.

I played with my friends after school.
Mommy and I had a couple errands to run.  We did two of my homework exercises while we were in the car.  They involved reciting number, for example: counting by five and ten to 100.

We stopped at Andy's for  30 minutes.  Quickly before bedtime we went through my flash cards.  I was too sleepy to read.    

 Today is Martin Luther King day, so I have no school and Mommy is off work.   I was too sleep last night when I needed to bathe, so I got up early this morning and took a shower.  From my bathroom window we saw six deer behind our yard eating grass.  Downstairs we told GGF.  He and I went outside and up to the fence.  We saw a total of nine deer.  After eating grits, a little sausage, and chocolate milk I was ready to head off for my adventure with Mimz, and Eli's family.  Mommy drove me to Mimz home.

 Mimz and I met Maritza, Eli, Jacob, and Bianca at the Museum of Natural Science.  Here are some of the pictures Mimz and Maritza took of us enjoying the displays while we learned new things:

It was a full day and I fell asleep on the drive back to Mimz' home.

I ate cereal for breakfast before church.  We all went: Grandma, Papa, Mommy and I.  I was hungry again on the drive home, so Papa stopped at McDonald's and I ate an entire sausage, cheese, and egg McMuffin.  I honestly was hungry.

We drove to the new property.  That was the first time I had been there.  Mommy had not seen the dock or the fence.  One day Grandma and Papa will build a house there and retire.

Mommy and I came home around 3:30pm.  I immediately ran to play with Anthony and Alyssa.  We played outside most of the time.

Anthony and Alyssa ate pizza from Papa Murphy's with us.  We each ate two small pieces then we each had a small bowl of ice cream.  I didn't finish my last piece of pizza or my ice cream.  We went over to Anthony's to play Minecraft.

GGM fixed me some oatmeal.  I didn't eat it all.  When it was cold, Barbara ate a couple of bites and said it was good even cold.  I tried some cold, and I agreed.  I ate half of her piece of sausage.

Andy and Kristan babysat me for an hour this morning.  I played with their Play Station and watched Anna Kate watched play with her books.  She does love her books.  Kristan checked in on us every few minutes.  We were always playing nicely.  Andy was outside cleaning out his gutters.

Back home, I played with Anthony on his X box until Mommy had us all packed and ready to go to the lake for the weekend. 

As we walked out the door I decided I was wanted to take two pieces of frozen raisin bread to eat in the car.

Maddox was not home, so I had to play with my family.  Papa and I played football a lot.  I rode my Ripstick.  I am getting better at both football and Ripstick riding every day.

I reviewed my flash cards.  Mommy made up sentences using them and I could read every sentence.  I am really reading.

Mimz sent a picture of a dinosaur that we will see on Monday at the Museum of Natural History.  I'm excited.

I wanted Mommy to drive me to school, so she did.

Anna Kate sure loves seeing my bus, she screams as loud as she can when she sees the bus.  She loves me to hug her.  I played football with Anthony and Anna Kate watched.  She kept wanting to get onto the field, but GGM and Barbara kept pulling her back to the sideline.  They kept telling her the cheer leading was done off the playing field but she didn't listen.

Oh a cute thing:  Anna Kate knows where her belly button is.  If you ask her where it is, she will pull up her shirt, touch it, and smile real big.  She also will point to her nose.  Barbara taught her those things.  She says "up" very clearly when she wants to be picked up.  And Papa her her say "Barbara" first thing when she woke up from her nap.

I went to Game Stop with Anthony and his mom.  I got a basketball game for my Play Station.

My behavior was orange or Great Job. 

I played with all of my friends in my front yard and driveway after school.  Since I don't have any Nerf guns or any other kind of guns  (I lost them all due to bad behavior a month of two ago), we generally play football.  Barbara wants us to play soccer, but for now we are still in the football mode.

After Mommy got home we went to McDonald's to get a Spirit Stick for Metzler.  We went over to Andy's and played on his Play Station for 30 minutes.

Back home I read 55 pages of Go Dog Go.

I was asleep by 8:45.

I was happy to have new red shoes to wear to school.

Today was the awards program at school.  Barbara and Mimz both read about it last week, but forgot about.  Fortunately Mr Mark was there to see Anthony and Alyssa.  He took my picture when I got my award for Great Conduct.  I received a Great Conduct spirit stick.  After school Barbara added it to my spirit stick key chain.

Mimz was waiting with Anna Kate, GGM, and Barbara for my bus to arrive.  They went through my weekly folder and found all of my great papers.  I almost always get E's or E+'s on my classwork.

Mimz and Eli and Jacob's mom had a play date planned for us kids at the park.  We had a lot of fun.  I rode my ripstick down a sidewalk with a slope so I was going pretty fast.  I fell once and landed on my shoulder.  I have a little bit of road rash.

Mimz and I did a lot of homework.  I liked the math sheet and the word game.  Normally I win, but tonight Mimz won and I was a good sport about her win.  Daddy and I did another homework assignment.  Mimz enjoyed hearing us talk about guy things while I took my bath.    

I went to school happily.

Today was school class picture day.  I was on the back row with all of the tallest children in my class.  Mrs. Meredith was in the picture also.  I am getting two pictures, one for Mommy and one for Daddy.  Total cost $10.

Barbara was not here when I jumped off the bus.  She spent the entire day at Andy's because he was having yard work done and they needed in the garage.  Andy wanted someone home because he wanted his tools to be safe.

Mr. Mark was going to be a little late getting home, so GGM had agreed to take care of me, Anthony and Alyssa.  We ate brownies for a snack, then we played outside.  Mr. Mark was only about 20 minutes late getting home.

Mommy took me to get a new pair of sneakers.  They are a pretty red color and I love them.

Bedtime is 8:30 and we had the lights out by 8:32.   I had a hard time getting to sleep.  I think it was almost 9pm before I nodded off.

I was up and onto the bus in fine spirits.  I don't have much to do in the mornings.  If I'm asleep by 9pm I can get up pretty easily.  I eat breakfast, brush my teeth, wash my face, check my hair, put on clothes we have laid out the night before, pick up backpack and maybe a coat, then play near the bus stop with neighbor kids until the bus shows up.

I am not good about sharing what happens at school.  Sometimes I tell one or maybe two things but mostly I can't think of anything fun or interesting or different that happened.  Maybe I'll learn to do that one day soon.

We played at Anthony's and outside.  Cole and Alyssa were here when Barbara fixed grilled cheese sandwiches so they ate some too.  Then they left so I could get all my bedtime routine done.    Barbara read to me while I wasted no time getting ready for bed.  I did four parts of my homework.  Then we went downstairs at 7:30pm to watch Clemson and Alabama play for the national college football championship.  We like Alabama but tonight we were rooting for Clemson because they beat OU.    I tried the cheese straws GGM made but they were a bit too spicy for me.  I loved the brownies and milk.  And of course Barbara and I shared some Pringles Sour Cream and Onion chips... that has been our football tradition since I was about three years old.

I watched the game for an hour.  At 8:29pm I climbed into bed and by 8:35pm I was asleep.

I spent the day with Daddy.

I played with Knox a lot this weekend.  One thing we did was have a picnic on the living room floor while watching football.

Mommy brought me home late in the afternoon.  I got to play with Anthony and Alyssa until almost 6pm.  The rest of the evening I played with Mommy and just a bit with Barbara.  Mommy and I played a new game for me: Go Fish.  I went through my new flash cards three times and I have learned most of them.  Then I went through my old stack of flash cards.  Mommy is amazed at how many words I can read.

Barbara showed me a cute little game she has on her iPad.  I need to have Mimz put Pancake Tower on her iPad.  It was free when Barbara got it.  Hope it is still free.  I built a stack of 21 pancakes.  Barbara built a stack of 20.  Then I manged to get 26 in a stack.  She then got 26.  Mommy then got 20.  Then it was 8:29pm.... bedtime!    I was asleep by 8:35pm.

I spent the day with my dad.

I woke up at 6:30am because I knew Anna Kate was coming over to my house and I wanted to be awake when she arrived.  She makes me very happy when she shows me how much she likes being around me.

I let her have some of my grits and two tiny pieces of sausage.  She loved both of them.

We went into the garage to wait for the bus.  There were two footballs on the garage sofa.  One is small and soft.  AK is scared of it.  She whines if she sees it.  We don't have any idea why it scares her.  Now the big heavy football she loves.  It is her favorite ball.  We don't understand that either.

Today was report card day.  I had one S+ (in language communication) and one E+ (in math) and all the rest were E's.

That is a great report card.  We think there is a mistake on it.  I know how to count to 20 forward and backward with no problem.  Mommy will ask my teacher about that.

I will get a spirit stick for having all E's on one section of my report card.  The one S+ kept me from having all Academic E's.

In case I haven't mentioned it, these were my Behavior chart colors for the four days of school this wee:  red, orange, orange, sticker.  That means outstanding, great job, great job, and Off The Chart!  Oh, what a good boy am I!

Mimz arrived a few minutes after I got home.  We were watching Anthony and Alyssa since their dad was not home from an errand.  GGM had fixed some mac and cheese for us to eat.  We all like it a lot.  Mr Mark got home before we finished eating our snack.  They went home and I left with Mimz.  We went to Menchies Frozen Yogurt to celebrate my good grades.

I played with the neighborhood children until 6pm, when it started to rain a little.  Then it rained more and we had a pretty good storm.

I had three helpings of carrots with my dinner.

Mimz and I watched the last half of E.T.  I did cry at the end which Mimz knew I would.

I was asleep by 8:40pm.

Mimz and I had interrupted sleep last night.  The electricity was off and on from 3am to 6:15am.  Every time it would go off the house alarm would go off.  Poor Mimz would wake up.  I mostly keep right on sleeping.

Mimz wanted me to get dressed quickly, while the electricity was on, so we could get the car out of the garage and close the garage door with ease.  We, and lots of neighbors, went to the doughnut shop since they could not make coffee and cook breakfast.

Mimz got me onto my school bus.  I did tell Mimz that on Tuesday I read all my sight words to Mrs. Meredith only making one mistake.

I was sure happy to see Anna Kate waiting and waving at me when I jumped off the bus.  She really does like me.

Anna Kate had a run in with a large decorative coffee pot and got her first boo boo near her eyebrow while in Barbara's care.   She cried about two seconds.  She is a little toughie.

Funny thing, I have a boo boo on the left side of my face too, above my ear.

I played with Anthony and Alyssa and Cole until 7pm.  That left me 1 hour and 30 minutes to eat mac and cheese for dinner, do all my bedtime routine,  read and finish my homework.
Barbara read my two library books, Blast Off! and Nugget & Fang, to me while I ate dinner and had an ice cream cone for dessert.

I had done most of my weekly homework over at Mimz last night but I still had four shapes that I had to find in my house and draw a picture of them.  We easily found three of the shapes but the rhombus proved impossible to find.

I had time to play with my football cards and play on Barbara's iPad for 15 minutes.

I happily got dressed and went off to school.  I like my teacher and my classmates and I like the work we do.

My behavior earned me an orange color which means "great job."

Mimz arrived at my house the same time my bus arrived.  We went inside to look at my school work and folders in my backpack.  I brought home a weather man wheel, so I need to look outside or on an iPhone at the weather and spin the wheel to show what the weather is for the day.

About 15 minutes after we arrived Mimz and I started our drive to her house.  I had lots of homework to do tonight but I had time to play with the girls.  I also read my favorite book, Bravest of All.

Papa is home from Nigeria.  One of his first jobs was to take down the Christmas wreaths from our windows.

He didn't have to climb up a ladder.  He used a long pole with a flat edge and just nudged the suction cups loose and they fell to the ground.

Today was the first day back at school.  It was fun to go back to school and see my teacher and classmates.

I came home so ready to play with my friends.  I spent about one minute inside getting a drink and saying hi before I sped away.  GGM, GGF, and Barbara wanted to know about my day, but I didn't have time.  I'll try to talk to them later.

For a long time Anthony and I played Star Wars in my room.  Then we played football in the garage.  From 6:30 to 7:30 I played at Anthony's.  I had to come home at 7:30pm to take a shower, etc, and read 22 pages of Go Dog Go, and go through my flash cards.  I made two piles.  The big pile were the words I knew.  The little pile were words I had forgotten.  With a little practice at sounding them out and a little help, I was able to read those words also.

Barbara played Monopoly with me.  It is a kids version and doesn't take hours and hours like the adult version can.  I won,  $13 to $0.

I fell asleep around 8:45pm.

I got to sleep in one more day.  We found our yesterday that there is no school today!   It was a work day for teachers, so Kristan did have to go to work.  That means Barbara had Anna Kate.  She brought Anna Kate over here after she had a bottle and was dressed.  I was still asleep when she got here but as soon as I was awake I knew she was here.  She has a loud voice for a baby girl.

Anna Kate and I shared a banana.  I had a doughnut and some milk also.

I played with AK until 11am, then Anthony could play.  We played Star Wars.

Later Alyssa and Cole joined us.  We played with a building set.   We played nicely in my room, until time for us to go to a movie with Anthony's mom.  We saw Great Dinosaurs (?)   We all enjoyed it.

I was home at 4pm, came in for a snack, and then I was off and running with my gang of friends.

Barbara played a fun game with us, similar to Hot Potato.  We had fun, but we argue way too much for Barbara when it is at the end of the day.  At 7pm, she send the kids all home, saying we would see them at the bus stop in the morning.

While waiting for dinner I rested with the iPad.  We had tamales for dinner.  I don't think I have ever had tamales.  I liked them. I went through my flash cards, dividing them into two piles: words I knew and words I didn't know.  The stack I knew was much bigger, than the stack I didn't know.
After studying the pile I didn't know, I found I really did know most of them, with just a little assistance.  I'd sometimes rather guess, than sound out the words.

Mommy played my new Monopoly game.  It is a game for kids.   I was luck and I landed on most of the properties and I bought them.  Mommy ended up having to sell her properties to pay me rent.  I won $22 to her $1.

I hurried to get my bedtime routine done and I reviewed my flashcards.

I knew all of the words in the big stack.  I almost knew the little stack.
I was in bed by 8:30, but I kept on stalling and it was just after 9pm when I fell asleep.  Tomorrow is the first day of school in 2016.

I spend the day with my dad.

At 5:15p Barbara met my dad at Sprouts and she brought me home.  Of course, I was happy to see Anthony and Jackson outside playing.  I couldn't wait to join them.

This is my first night to wear my new Star Wars pajamas.  I'm happy wearing them.

Daddy and I stayed at Mimz' home most of today.  I skated and played with Skyler most of the day.  Knox, her brother, had gone hunting with their dad.  Daddy grilled and we had a nice New year's meal.  

Mimz came home around 3pm from her New Years weekend with many long time friends.  She was so very glad we were at her home when she home.  While she went out to eat with the Finch's, Daddy and I went over to Big Mason's home to eat dinner with his family.

Mommy and Barbara babysit Anna Kate while Andy and Kristan went out with friends.  They could tell she had changed in just two short weeks.  A cute thing she did was point to Santa on her pajamas and say, "ho ho ho."

2016 is here!  I was born in 2009, my how time has flown by... how did I get to be such a big boy so quickly!





I called Mimz to wish her a happy new year.  I had a great time playing with Knox at Mimz' home.
