I slept until almost 9am.  I was surprised to find out Mommy had already left for work and Barbara was at my home to let me finish sleeping.  We drove to Barbara's home and I was a big help to GGM and Barbara so when we finished our chores, I was given a new Hot Wheels car because I was so helpful and had a great attitude.
I use Jake and the Neverland Pirates toothpaste and a Spiderman toothbrush.  Notice I have on a Spiderman shirt.
It was 11am before we got to start playing.  We played with cars around the pool table fore over three hours only stopping to eat lunch and occasionally to let GGM or Barbara sit down to rest.  I have no understanding as to why they get tired so quickly.  They ask if I would like to play something else and of course, I am very happy to keep playing this fun game.  We have six cars that need gas, need to go through the car wash, go to the drive-in theater, and other things like crashes, tow trucks, repairs, police and ambulance, and, or course. there is lots of racing.  My two cars are the only ones that can transform into jets when I need them to.

I stayed home all day just playing in the house.  I was feeling better but still had a cough and acted a bit tired.

Saturday, September 28, 2013

I spent the night with Barbara because Mommy had a party at her house last night.  Around 4am I started coughing in my sleep and crying so Barbara could tell I had a sore throat which hurt every time I coughed.  I woke up around 6am and cried.  Barbara gave me some medicine and soon my low grade fever went away.  I was hungry and ate some grits.  I watched Dora, The Explorer on TV until I fell asleep around 7:30am.  My fever was gone and I did not cough in my sleep.

I woke up again around 8:50 and again I was not feeling good.  For over an hour I just laid in bed talking and resting and watching TV so you know I am feeling puny. I had a second dose of medicine and after it took effect, I wanted to start playing.  GGM, Barbara, and I played cars on the pool table.  Then we all read a book.  Barbara had to read fast to keep me from wanting to get up and play.

Mommy came to get me around 11am.  Daddy came over to take care of me so Mommy could go shopping for a top for Mommy to wear to Sophie Wilson's wedding this afternoon.  He also took care of me while Mommy was at the wedding and reception.  Barbara was pretending she was a videographer and she videoed the wedding.

I was feeling puny all day.

MIMZ ARRIVES HOME TODAY FROM HER LONG LONG VACATION!

As soon as I ate breakfast and helped put a load of clothes in the washing machine we started playing.  First hide and seek.  Once GGM and I hid in the closet so we took a flashlight with us in case we needed it to see.  Then I showed GGM how to play with one of my iPad apps.
We made a sign to hold up when Mimz arrives home.  I colored pictures, Barbara wrote the letters.
If Barbara won't play cars with me, I can always talk GGM into playing with me.
It was cool outside so we all decided to play with chalk on the driveway.
I recognize my own name and am learning to recognize a few other words.
Everything that was drawn I could tell what it was.
GGF laughed out our funny drawing.
I got hot so I took off my shirt and wished that that ice cream cone was real.

Mimz flight was only an hour late, but we knew this so we didn't leave home way to early.
We stopped at Sonic to get me a corn dog and tater tots.  It was not raining when we arrived at Mimz home, so we spread out a quilt and played with the iPad.
I practiced holding the sign we made to welcome Mimz home.   It started to sprinkle so we quickly gathered up our things and got in the car.  It was not long before Mimz got home and she was so happy to see me and loved the sign I made.  I bet she puts in on her refrigerator.  We didn't visit very long because Mimz was tired.  I promised to come back as soon as she was rested.   Oh, of course, I wanted to stay, but Barbara had tried to make me understand before Mimz got home that Mimz needed time to recover from her two week vacation.   We forgot to take a picture of Mimz, me, and the sign.

***(Barbara's computer is in the shop.  We just got pictures added today going back to Sept 23rd.  We have videos of swimming and basketball to share.  Hopefully that will happen soon.****

Barbara came over to Mommy's house to take me to school.  I woke up early so I had time to go with Mommy to get dog food before she had to leave for work.  Barbara stayed home playing with my super heroes, even though she doesn't know one from the other.

I listened to a story about Stacy, a wicked old witch, and a policeman  on the drive to school.  If I don't like the direction the story is going, I tell Barbara what should happen next.  She asks me to tell the story, but I won't.  All I do is direct it, she has to be the storyteller.
I fell asleep in the car.  We are going to put the back on my new carseat, so I will have more support and have something to hold my head when I fall asleep.
I sure like my Monk Monks.  Here I am sleeping with my Texas Monk Monk.
My eye is almost normal with just a little pinkness and swelling left.
I can't wait for Mimz to get home tomorrow from her long vacation.  I want to hear about her vacation and her seeing the Pope and also I want her to help me learn to use the Leap Pad computer she gave me for my birthday.

Barbara took me home to Mommy so we could help get tables set up for the party.  We also put up some Halloween decorations.

Mommy drove me to Barbara's home.  I was there early enough to help put out the American Flag.  GGM went with us to take me to school because they were going to Sam's Club on the return trip.

I had a great day at school.  Olivia threw a fit and got in trouble.  I was a good boy all day.  Right after school I had my last swim lesson for the summer.  PaPa met Barbara and me at Miss Sherries.  I got an award that listed all the things I could do.  (Get list from Mommy and post it here.)  Mommy put it on her refrigerator alone with some of my art work.  It was a good lesson.  I have done better, but PaPa was pleased with the progress I have made.

PaPa and Barbara raced to see who would get to Barbara's house first.  I had to ride with Barbara because she has my car seat.  It was no surprise, PaPa won.  PaPa adjusted the yard sprinkler and put down some yard stuff.  After he left I helped Barbara put my new car seat together.  Now she needs help getting the old seat out of my car so this new seat can go in.

I played nicely all afternoon, but could hardly wait for Mommy to come get me because she has some new work/play cowboy boots for me.  They are just like my old inexpensive dark brown ones except they are a size 10.  As it turns out Barbara drove me home so she could help Mommy get ready for a party she is having Friday evening.  It is one of those party's ladies have.  I don't understand why I can't be there for the party.  I wold be good and make the ladies laugh.

Mommy and I played outside before it got dark.

I rode in my new car seat in Mommy's car this morning.  It is a booster chair but it has a back on it.
I also wore my new Super Mario backpack.   Barbara, my great-grandparents and Miss Annette all like it.

I had on a red striped shirt when I arrived at Barbara's home.  We decided to wait to put on my orange basketball shirt until after I ate breakfast... just in case.  As it turned out I did not get any food on my shirt... and we forgot to change shirts.  Well, Barbara decided, since I had made such a big deal about us being a "team" and needing to wear our team shirt, that she would take it to me right before basketball started at 12:45.  She was invited to stay and watch, so they gave her a chair to sit in and she watched my class.
There were ten children with one visiting child today.  Basically we are learning to listen and do what we are told.  Some girls and one boy talk too mch.  I was the perfect child, doing just what I was told to do.
I was the last child to put away my ball and supplies.  We bounced the ball, learned about mixing colors, danced to music doing the actions the coaches showed us.  I did not have a problem with Barbara being there to watch me.

(Add videos of basketball)

PaPa was going to come to my basketball class, but the swimming pool guy was at the lake house to long, so he will have to come another day.  Mimz is in Rome.  She is tired but having a great time.
GGM needed my help loading the dishwasher.  I added the soap cube...
Then I closed the soap dispenser and pushed the buttons to start the machine.
GGM, Barbara, and I played Ring Toss and I never did get the rings on the post...
But I consistently got the Horseshoes on the post.
GGF is a great Horseshoe player.  I will have to play a game with him.
 Fun in the tub!
I still use the bath tub markers I was given at Christmas.
Barbara and GGM entertained me all afternoon.   They were ready to call it a day when I left with Mommy.

Monday, September 23, 2013

I brought my new backpack over to Barbara's.  She wrote my name on the name tag.  I transferred my change of clothes from my old backpack to my new one.  I also put my homework folder and my basketball sweat band in the bag so it is ready for me to go to school tomorrow.  I'll add my lunch bag in the morning after my lunch is in it.  My orange basketball shirt is clean and laid out ready for school tomorrow.

I age my lunch while sitting on the living room floor using my little Sponge Bob tray, a birthday gift.  GGM and I played with my golf set, a birthday gift.

It was a routine day except I kept asking when we would leave for my doctor's appointment.  It was not until 3:10pm so I asked many times and each time I was told it would be much later in the day.
Finally we got to the doctor's appointment.  We met Mommy there.
The new nurse's name is Naja.  I am 41.5 inches tall (75 percentile).
I weighed 32 pounds (66 percentile).  Dr. Lacour projected that I might be 6" 1" tall and weigh about 160.   My blood pressure and temperature were normal.
For the first time I had my hearing...
... and my eyes checked.  Everything checked out well.
Dr. Lacour gave me a through exam.  My only problem is my feet are a little bit flat.  I think I get that from my dad.  Other than that I am in great shape.  It is fine for me to keep getting a small daily dose of Merilax.
As Dr. Lacour was putting on his stethoscope Barbara told him how I sometimes close my eyes when using my stethoscope when we are playing doctor.  Then I told Dr. Lacour I do that because he closes his eyes when he uses the stethoscope on me.  Dr. Lacour smiled and said, "Yes, I sometimes do that."

When the nurse was ready to come in and give me some shots, Dr. Lacour said it was time for him to leave so he could remain the good guy.    The nurse held down my legs and Mommy held my hands while I was given FIVE shots, four immunizations and one flu shot.
I didn't cry out loudly, but a couple of the shots hurt and I did cry but just barely.
It only took a few seconds to all be over with and by the time I was sitting up I was okay.  I did want my mom to carry me down the hall, but by the time I got a sticker from the receptionist, I was running and back to normal.  I will not get any more immunizations until I am eleven years old!  These shots did not make me sick.

Barbara's computer is acting up.  Hopefully she can get it repaired within a couple of days.

Mommy took me shopping this morning for a new backpack.  My old one is too smalll to hold my change of clothes, lunch bag, and homework.  I have used it since I was 18 months old.  I picked out a Super Mario Brothers bag and I love it.
Me playing pirate wearing hat Mommy got at her work.  She has a pink one just like my red one.

Daddy played golf yesterday and today, so I have spent most of the weekend with just my mom.  Mimz is enjoying her vacation.  She goes to Rome tomorrow and hopefully she will get to see the Pope.

Happy 4th Birthday to me!
I had a bunch of little gifts to unwrap over at Barbara's home.  They were things Grandma picked up through out the year for me.  There was some new Play Dough, a puzzle, a plastic golf club set, a "take-apart" truck, a steam roller, some bubble bath, a game with two balls and two nets, a game of horse shoes and ring toss.  That is all I can remember.

Mommy and I drove to PaPa's new lake house.  Andy was there helping organize the garage.  My great-grandparents and Barbara came up also.  They brought turkey casserole for our lunch ...
and a buttermilk chocolate sheet cake with my name spelled out in pecan halves.
Grandma had four candles and a number "4" candle for me to blow out.  I insisted that they not sing "Happy Birthday."

The swimming pool was too cold since it had rained the last two days so Barbara and I played in the hot tub with a few of my Super Heroes.
Mommy gave a a box of super heroes.  That was my favorite gift.  I played with them all day.
Grandma and Barbara bought new booster seats for Mommy and Barbara's cars.

I woke up early and was surprised when Barbara came over to our home. Barbara took me over to her house to play today.  We played all the regular things and most of the time I was my normal good self, but I had a big melt down today.  I have a shirt that needed a button replaced.  GGM sewed the button on and I was very very upset.  I did not want it fixed.  Well, I was not going to give up so after several minutes of my crying at a very loud level, Barbara made me go into my toy room because they didn't want to hear me.  I continued for ten more minutes, then I came out and was a very polite little boy and said I liked my repaired shirt.
I had a blast playing in the rain...
...and playing in a big puddle after the rain quit.
I was too wet to run inside, so I took care of business outside.
When we came inside I got cold quickly because of the air conditioning, so I got in a warm shower.
I helped make the frosting for me birthday cake.  It was yummy tasting.  I sure wanted to eat some cake, but I understand that I have to wait until my party tomorrow.  I wish Mimz could be here to celebrate with us.

I was playing games on the iPad, when I suddenly got sleeping.  I laid down and within 20 seconds I was asleep.  That was about 3:30.  Barbara woke me up at 5:30 so I would go to sleep at a good time tonight.

My favorite TV show is PAW Patrol.  My favorite game to play is Hide and Seek.  My favorite iPad game is TOCA builders.

Thursday, September 19, 2013

I spent the night with Barbara.  I woke up happy, ready to get dressed, eat breakfast, and watch PAW Patrol until time to leave for school.  I asked when Mimz was going to come pick me up.  Barbara said I it would be another week before she returned from her vacation.    When Barbara picked me up I had my homework folder, with art work I had done this week, but there was no homework assignment.

I had hoped to get to get to play in the rain but it was sunny when I got home from school.  Prolawn came today, a day early, so I watched them.  Something made me very sleepy, so I laid down and in just a minute I was asleep.  I took a two hour nap before Mommy came to take me home.
I sat just like this the entire time it took to drink a sippie.  I had Monk Monk with me and we were playing something in our own little world.
We had been playing Legos on Barbara's bed, when she tried to sit the container on the ground and instead she spilled it.  It took us a long time to get them all picked up.
Fireman Mason.
I figured out how I could lay down and still wear my fireman's hat.

I wanted to wear my orange basketball shirt to school because I am a part of the team and we are supposed to wear our shirt.  Mommy said I couldn't for two reasons: it is to be worn on Tuesday when I have basketball class and it is in the laundry to be washed.  Okay... I agreed to wear something else.

I asked Barbara to tell me a story about Stacy and the wicked witch, she agreed only after I agreed to let her read me a book, either from the iPad or from one of my books.  Now, I just hope I remember that and follow through without putting up a fuss.
Sometimes I need a little snack to get some energy.
I have gotten in trouble the last two days because of my back-talking to my great grandparents.  Barbara can't stand it, so I ended up in Time Out.  I must learn when my great grandparents (or any adult) tell me No, or Quit, or something like that it is not up for discussion.

I did remember that I had to listen to Barbara read a book to me... and I liked the story.  Later I asked her to read me another story.  That really made her happy.

I am enjoying playing Hide and Seek.  We will soon need to start playing outside because we have used all the hiding places in the house.  Barbara does the funniest hiding.  She might sit in a chair with a blanket over her trying to hold very still.  I get so tickled when I find the hiding person.

I liked watching and helping fix a turkey today.  We played Pizza Man again.

I spent the night with Barbara and my great grandparents.  I don't get to do that much any more so I was excited.  We had ice cream cones as a special treat with Butter Pecan ice cream.  Yummy.

A new thing I have been doing today is saying, "I have a deal (to make with you)."  I am learning that to get what you want, you sometimes have to agree to do something in return.

I watched an episode of Dora The Explorer, then played a new Fireman app on the iPad for a few minutes.  When the timer on Barbara's phone went off, it was time to put away the iPad and go to sleep.  I was asleep within 5 minutes of lights out.

Mimz is in Athens today.  She is having a great time, but she also is missing me.
