Off to school ready to have good conduct.... and I did.

I played with my Gang of Four.  We are an equal opportunity group..we play at each of our homes pretty equally.

I wanted to take a quick shower but decided to take a bath and use one of my bath balms.  Inside the bath balm, I found a capsule, that looked like a pill.  I gave it to Barbara.  She wondered what it was.  She put it under water and it melted and became a tiny sponge in the shape of a dinosaur.  We both preferred the little toys the first four bath balms had in them.

I spend the day with my dad. 

 Mommy took me to church school, then we came back to Daddy's home to watch the Pro Bowl football game.

My football practice at 11:30am and the game at 12:30pm.

 Daddy helped me get my jersey tucked in and put on my belt with flags on it.

 During practice I played quarterback....

 ...and center and running back.

 I went up for the coin toss.

 My team won the coin toss.

Barbara only took videos during the game and it is sometimes hard to get videos to appear on this blog.  And it is impossible if the video clip is not really short.

I played great.  I don't remember what I did except that I made many good plays.

After our first game we had a team meeting.  There are 8 boys on the team, ages 5 to 7.  Some of them have never played football before.

 Here we are all volunteering for something.

 Each week one boy gets a medal for good sportsmanship and leadership.  I was chosen to receive it this week.

 I went home with Daddy.  Mommy sat up the dining room table...

The past two days while we are waiting for the bus  Barbara has asked us trivia questions. She asked Anthony state capitols, Alyssa math questions, and me sports questions and then general knowledge questions for all of us.  What is the presidents middle name?  How many bones are in the body?  etc.

One question she asked this morning was, "What does TGIF stand for?"   Now we all know.

 Barbara baby sat Anna Kate and Bradley for a couple of hours while Andy and Kristan ran errands.  Andy is off work every other Friday.  While she was at their house, she noticed my Pinewood Derby car on Andy's workbench.  She took this picture.  I did all of the painting.

These orange dots are weights that we will add to make my car heaver.

Barbara had to watch Athony and Alyssa from 3:30pm until 5:30pm.  And Cole was with us too.  She said it was easier to watch The Gang of Four than the two little ones.  

 The entire two hours Cole, Anthony, and I played on our DSs.  

 We all stayed in the garage.    It was a little nippie but better to be out there than in the house where we would have to be quieter.

Alyssa and Barbara sat on the glider and watched us. I've only had my DS for two days, and Barbara has already decided we need to have some time limits put on my using it.

We all went on a long walk/bike ride with Cole's grandmother and aunt.  Mommy had to come find me, because it was getting dark and we were going over to Daddy's home.   She found us quickly, because we were almost back home.

I forgot to write on this day, so let's see what I can remember....

Cole and I were waiting on the bus...

Alyssa came out, but she was mad about something and she chose not to sit with us.
I had all of my homework done so I didn't have homework, except for reading which I did right before going to sleep.

 These are pictures of me just acting silly.

As soon as Mommy got home, she took Anthony and me to get a Pokemon game for my DS.  That is all the rage now.

At 6:15pm, Mommy took me to my cub scout meeting.  I took a package of underwear and a package of socks to give to needy children.  I also took $5 from my wallet to contribute to an auction item for the Pinewood Derby Silent Auction. 

We had a snowball fight with some of the balled up socks.  We did not open any of the underwear packages.

I was in bed on time, read a little, and asleep before 9.

GGM likes to play a computer game called Bookworm.  When Barbara snapped this picture her score was 372 million points.  She got this game to over 400 million when something happened to the computer and the score was lost.  Barbara was there and saw this happen.  Man, that is a high score.  But they tell me that back when they lived in Arkansas they had the score over half a Billion! and then they really lost the game. 

Having my clothes already laid out when I wake up makes getting ready for school pretty easy.  The only decision I have to make is what I want to eat for breakfast.  Most of the time I ask for oatmeal or raisin toast and a piece of sausage and milk.

Anthony and Alyssa were at the bus stop before me.  Cole didn't show up.  I guess his mom or grandma will drive him to school.

We made a sleeping bag is school today.  I will put a picture of it on my blog when I bring it home.

Normally Barbara is waiting on our driveway for me when the bus stops.  I jump out of the bus, give her my backpack, say a couple of words, and run off to play at Anthony's or Cole's home.  I don't want a snack or a drink.  Today Barbara had a glass of lemonade in her hand, so I drank that before I went off to play.

Barbara looked through my backpack.  On Wednesday I bring home my weeks worth of classwork and art work.  All of my papers this week were 100s or check marks except for one 90.   That is a great week's work.   Of course my weekly progress report was an E.

I played until 7pm.  Then we all had to go to our respective homes.  Mommy and I did my homework.  Barbara read a story that was in my new Boy's Live magazine, about camping in Minnesota in January where the temperature was -20 degrees.

I was in bed by 8:20pm but it was almost 9pm before I finally went to sleep.  What put me to sleep was Barbara telling me a new story about Fireman Sam and the Wicked Witch, whose new name is Nice Nelly.

 I was awake early and ready for school early.  I asked Barbara to come help with my breakfast.

I don't remember what I did at school.  I know I jumped off the bus, gave Barbara my backpack and ran off to play with the gang.  It was a perfect day to play outside.   GGF was outside raking leaves and pine needles  and sweeping the street.  Barbara picked up the piles of leaves and pine needels he made.

Barbara went to Sams Club this morning and that meant she and GGM cooked all day.  They buy meat, cook it, portion it, and freeze it.  They don't want to cook every day so that is their method to keep from cooking daily.  I was asked if I would like to have some fried chicken.  I didn't know what that was.  I ate two chicken legs and liked it.  I think I now remember eating fried chicken, but it has been a long time.

I played outside until it got dark.  Cole, Anthony, and I came up to my room, to play until 7pm, when they had to go home.  I had a bath using one of Mommy's bath balms.  Hers does not have a toy in it, but it has bubbles, and smells good.

I wore my white leggings to school.  Mommy told me to take them off before I went to play.  Well, I forgot and I fell on my knees and got them very dirty.  While I took my bath, Barbara worked on getting them clean.  Oh, how good she is to me.  

I had a snack, brushed my teeth, and Mommy read chapter 4 of Champion Dog Prince Tom.  I listened better tonight that I have in the past.  Maybe I am getting interested.  I had a little time to play on the iPhone.

 Mommy agrees that I need to quit using electronics after 8pm.  That means I have 30 minutes before bedtime that I can spend visiting with Mommy and reading.  Since I quit playing with friends at 7pm, I have an hour to do my bedtime routine and play with the iPad or iPhone.  So at 8pm, Mommy and I talked.  Then Barbara agreed to tell me a story.  Oh, how tired she got of the Fireman Sam stories she told me on most days on the drive to and from School in the Pines.  Often there was a wicked witch in the stories and Barbara used a witchy voice that entertained me. 

 I fell asleep at 8:23pm.

 If it's not cold, I like to sleep in only my underwear. 

As it turns out Mimz doctor wanted her to stay in the hospital today and tonight.  That means she and Mrs. Ross will start home from Mobile, Alabama tomorrow.  Mrs. Ross will have to do all of the driving.  They will stop every couple of hours to streach their legs.  I hope Mimz is not too uncomfortable on that long drive home.


 

My friends and I waiting for the bus.  School was the same as it normally is. One fun thing we did was make a campfire in my classroom.  We took twigs and laid the wood.  We put red paper in the center and  a fake candle. I enjoyed that activity.

We ran a timed mile in PE.  My previous mile time was 10 minutes 45 seconds.  Today I ran it in 10 minutes flat.  I think I was the fastest boy in the class.

I played with my gang after school.  It was a beautiful day outside.

Daddy picked my up around 4 something.  We had to put his car back in the shop... engine light is back on for the third time.

Mimz and Mrs. Ross had a change of plans. Mimz started feeling really bad on the drive.  In Mobile, Alabama Mimz decided she needed to make a stop at a hospital.  Turns out she had to have her appendix removed.  I would call that a BIG change of plans!  The doctor told her he wanted her to stay at the hospital until Wednesday morning.  Then they will start the drive back home.  Their Disney World plans will have to be rescheduled. 

Daddy took me over to Mimz home to eat breakfast and wish her and Kay Ross a safe and fun vacation road trip to Disney World.

 I gave Mimz this piece of my art work showing the four season.  She put it on her refrigerator.

Oh, I wish I were going with them!  For some reason, the adults all think I have to go to school!

Mommy and I went over to Andy's so I could paint my Pinewood Derby car.  I chose orange and black and I did all of the painting.

Chris B. and I played with a frisbee a lot.  Andy and Papa played with me some.  We watched a lot of pro football.

Mommy, Bridget, and Kristan all went to look at bride's maids dresses so Grandma took me to chruch school.

Rain, rain, go away!  My cub scout treasure hunt  and my football practice and game has been canceled due to soggy fields.

 Here is my football schedule.  Turns out later the times were all changed.  Pracitce at 11:30am and game at 12:30pm.

Bridget, Chris B, Grandma, Papa, and Mommy are looking for venues for Bridget's wedding reception.  The plan is for Bridget and Chris to get married in St. Edwards Church which is the church her family attended when she was growing up and it is also the church where I was christened.

I spent the morning at Daddy's home.  Around noon Mommy dropped me off at home and I played with Alyssa.  We sat on Barbara's bed used our iPads.

Barbara and I threw a Frisbee's.  She caught it one time!  Yea!  The throws Barbara made didn't come close enough for me to catch them.  haha

All my friends are away from home, so I came inside and played a game of Sorry with Barbara.  Then I looked at videos of me.  Barbara offered to read to me but I was not interested.

Barbara and I went back outside to toss around the Frisbee.  We are both much better.  I could catch most of her tosses.  If she touched the ones I tossed, it counted as a catch even if she didn't actually catch it.  Wish we had a video, but Barbara can't toss a Frisbee and record us playing at the same time.

Mommy and I went over to Andy's to visit with Bridget and Chris and Papa and Grandma.  We all went to a Mexican restaurant to eat.  Notice Bradley sleeping in his stroller.

I took the $3 the tooth fairy left me to the school store.  I bought two spirit sticks: Goals and Pickles.  One of the girls in my class put them on my backpack ring.   I gave Barbara the change and she put in in her stash of change to go into my college fund.

I've already forgotten about what we studied in school.  I do remember that we could not play on the soaked playground.  Lots of rain the past few days.

Mr. Brad told us to come pick as many grapefruit as we want.  We picked seven to start with.  We will come back for more when those are eaten.

When Mimz came to pick me up, I gave her a piece of my art work to put on her refrigerator.  It was about the four seasons.  GGM made some cheese straws today and she gave some to Mimz.  GGM and Barbara picked a few grapefruit from Brad's tree and they gave Mimz one of them.

Mimz is leaving on Sunday on a road trip to Disney World with Kay Ross.  They will be gone a week and I will miss her.

It's a rainy day so Mimz had to drive slower to the doughnut shop for breakfast and then on to my home so I could catch the bus. 

We waited a few minutes in the garage, then Barbara and I walked under a big umbrella to the bus stop.  Anthony joined us and in a few minutes Cole and his grandmother joined us under another umbrella.  Mimz took our picture.

After school it was overcast but not raining so I played with my Gang of 4 until 5pm.  I came inside at that time to finish my Cub Scout project about my Family's Beliefs.   We realized we mispelled Family's but no one will mind.  I also had to finish my homework, one page of math involving counting by 10s.

Mommy went with me to my den meeting.  We played a guessing game.  I had to feel a sack and guess what was in it.  It was a small toy motorcycle.  I got to keep it.

I talked about my Family's beliefs and showed my poster.

I am supposed to read at least ten minutes every night.  I don't want to but I agreed to let Barbara read chapter 3 from the book Champion dog Prince Tom.

I had five more minutes until lights out so we talked about our plans for tomorrow.  Then I had Barbara quiz me on trivia questions about football.  She aked me how many players were on the field at one time.  I said eleven.  She said that was wrong... well, I guess I was supposed to say 22 players.  She asked if there were only 22 people on the field at one time.  I said yes.  She said I fotgot about the referees.  Tricky!


Lights out at 8:35pm.  I hollered at Barbara to say I couldn't sleep after about ten minutes of laying in the dark.  She came to sit on my bed... two minutes later I was asleep.     

 I woke up to find my tooth gone and three one dollar bills in the pocket.  I didn't hear the fairy when she was here.


It was raining heavily when it was time for the bus to arrive so Barbara walked to the bus stop carrying a large umbrella to keep Anthony and me dry.

We had to take recesses and PE indoors today.    We are still talking about the four seasons.  I brought home my weekly classroom work and most of my grades were 100s with just a couple of grades in the 90s.

Barbara and GGF took me to meet Mimz at Sprouts.  Barbara and GGF drove off to Panda Express Mimz and I drove to her home where I had some play time with Knox before I had to come inside.  Daddy grilled chicken, steak, and sausage on Mimz' new gas grill.  I ate an entire sweet potato, which is what I had asked Mimz to fix for me.

I enjoyed sleeping under my new big boy comforter so much it was hard getting out of bed but I did leaving just enough time to eat, brush my teeth, and get dressed.   It was raining so Barbara and I walked to the bus stop under a large umbrella.  Anthony joined us.

Mrs. Cat was back from her vacation to Disney World and I was glad.

I jumped off the bus telling Barbara that Alyssa and I were friends again.  Yesterday we had a squable and we were not friends any more.

I played with all my gang.  We roamed from one house to the other.   We played Sorry at my house.

And we ate Top Ramen in the garage because GGF was doing paperwork at the breakfast table.

 I have lost four baby teeth.  I had a fifth tooth very loose.  I was hoping it would come out at school so my teacher wold give me a little tooth case to put it to keep it safe.  But I couldn't leave it alone.  I asked Barbara to work on it.  She used her fingernails like pliers and gave a quick tug and...

..it was loose.  I sat up very quickly because it was in my mouth and I thought I might swallow that tiny tooth.

 

 I was really interested in seeing my blood.  Not much, but still interesting to me.

I put my tiny tooth in my tooth pillow's pocket and was oh so ready to go to sleep and see what the morning brought!
