 Happy Easter 2013!
The Easter Bunny left me some toys and Easter eggs and candy!

I had been asking for a toy motorcycle and I got one.  I am a lucky boy.
There were Easter eggs hidden in Mimz' home.
I found a whole basket full.

Daddy and I drove to Mommy's home because the Easter Bunny hid eggs in my backyard and some of them had candy in them!
Daddy and I drove to Mommy's home because the Easter Bunny hid eggs in my backyard...
...and some of them had candy in them.

GGF Bates helped me find some I had missed the first time.
My basket was full!

Mimz fixed us a ham for Easter Dinner for Uncle Scott, Aunt Jill, Morgan, Daddy and me.  And I can eat the leftovers because Mimz sent leftovers home with me to Mommy's home.  GGM, GGF, Barbara, Mommy and I will enjoy them for a few days.  Thank you, Mimz.

Andy and Kristan had things stored in the storage bin that holds PaPa's boat, so Andy, Bridget, Grandma, and Mommy filled the trailer and unloaded it at Andy's new home.   Andy and Kristan's new washer and dryer were delivered today also.  And Ricardo came to give Andy a price to paint the inside of his house.  Ricardo starts Monday and it should take a week.

Mommy met Daddy and me at our home so he could get some carpet that a friend wants.  Then we all came to the Tomball house and loaded the trailer with Mommy's bedroom furniture and boxes, and other stuff and unloaded it into our garage.  I was in the big middle of it and could not understand why they sometimes wanted me to stand out of the way.
These three pictures show me hard at work.

Funny picture:  Notice Bridget and Andy's heads.  Mommy and I could stand up straight.
I am a hard worker and don't like watching others work while I stand idly by.

At our new home the floors are ready to be stained and should be ready on Tuesday for us to start moving things onto them.

I had just helped close the trailer door when Mimz came to pick me up around 12:30am.  It is good she didn't come any earlier because I would not have wanted to leave while we were still loading the trailer.

The work continued after I left.  Ricardo is going to come paint the Tomball house when he finishes at Andy's home.  So Grandma and Barbara started removing the quarter round so he can paint the baseboards.   We are all hoping that by May 1st we will all be settled in our homes.
GGM and GGF worked hard to get house ready for painters to come in a week.

Mommy came over to Mimz home and Daddy fix us all a steak dinner.

I woke up before 7am asking if I could play my guitar.  Barbara told me I must wait to sing until everyone was awake.  So I went in to GGM bedside and told her it was time to wake up.  She laughed when she heard why I was waking her up.

My nose is still a bit runny so I got medicine at 8am.  I told Barbara Mimz gave me that same medicine in a sippie and I couldn't even taste it, so that is how Barbara gave it to me.

One new imaginative play I came up with was post office.  GGF had four letters to be mailed.  So one at a time I would put a letter in the box on the back of my little tricycle and rode it out to the mailbox.  Barbara pretended to be a crossing guard and she stopped all traffic so I could put the letter in the mailbox.  I did this four times.

GGM and I made snowmen out of Play Dough and we played with my trash truck.  The pretend trash I picked up were some Megablocks.  When my truck was full I would drive it to a dump site and empty my truck and repeat this process several times before I was ready to move on to a new activity. We blew bubbles outside and I played in the flowerbed dirt.  Barbara kicked one of my rubber balls around the backyard with us.  That is fun and we laugh a lot.

I'm constipated again.  I get Merilax most mornings.  I don't know why I sometimes have this problem.

GGM darned the onsie that my baby doll wears.  The two big toes had small holes  in them.  This doll was my mother's when she was a little girl.  She also did some darning for Barbara and for my mom.  Darning is becoming a lost art.  Thank you, Great Grandma.

Daddy came to pick my up after he got off work.  I had my guitar, trash truck, extra pair of cowboy boots and some clothes in my wheelbarrow ready to walk it all to Daddy's truck when he got here.   He offered to help me but I said I could do it by myself.  That would have been a cute picture, but Barbara forgot to do her job of taking pictures of me.

Andy drove a u-haul from San Antonio this afternoon with his and Kristan's belongings.  Bridget, Mommy, and Grandma helped him unloaded everything into the garage, so Ricardo could paint the inside of the house before they move their belongings inside.  Kristan stayed in San Antonio because her mother just flew in from overseas and will stay a month.  Andy and Kristan have been living in Kristan's parents new home.  As Andy was pulling away with a u-haul loaded with their belongings, a moving truck was pulling up to Kristan's parent's home with their long term storage.  It seems most of my family is moving this month.

There was no school today because this is Easter weekend, so I got to play with Mimz all morning.

I developed a cough and a very stuffy nose so Daddy gave me some meds last night and it helped me sleep.  This morning I was playing and told Mimz I didn't feel good and asked I could get in her bed and watch Caillou.  I didn't have a fever so it is probably caused by all the pollen in the air.
When I got hungry, we ate cheese scrambled eggs and toast on the patio.
That is my favorite place to eat.

I played my new guitar and we sang songs all morning long.  And we played with my new trash truck..  We used blocks and small toys as trash for us to pick up and haul away. We also played McDonald's drive through.  I would drive my little pickup to Mimz window and place an order.
Mimz and I were going to run some errands but I fell asleep in my carseat, so Mimz took me home to Barbara.  I slept about 30 minutes on the sofa, then I was rested and ready to go full blast.

GGM, GGF, Barbara, and I played with my trash truck.  We sang while I played the guitar.  When I finished one song I said, "Thank you, thank you."  They said I sounded just like Elvis Presley.   We played Keep Away with several balls.  That causes lots of laughs.

I played with my wheelbarow in the flowerbeds before dinner.  When Mommy got home we went over to Luke's to play until dark.

Happy 13th birthday, Morgan!  Her family celebrated at Bluefish Sushi.
A pretty cake for a pretty girl.

Today was full of regular play: trucks, calls to 911, Play Dough, balls, digging, bears, story time, Dora and Diego, Jake, and helping with any work that was being done.

I almost fell asleep but something woke me up and that was the end of any chance of my taking a nap.

I was clean and all dressed waiting for Daddy to come pick me up so I could not play in the dirt...that was hard.  Barbara held me on a patio chair and told me stories while we waited.  Plans changed and Mommy took me to meet Daddy.  We went to Toy's Are Us.  Daddy bought me a small guitar, which I had been wanting.  I think they bought me other things ( for Easter) without my knowledge.  Then we went to a Mexican restaurant to eat dinner.  I ate queso and chips and chicken.

We had our school Easter party today.  I brought Easter plates and napkins and Easter cookies to contribute to our party.  I was hoping they would send home a picture of my classmates like they did last year, but that did not happen.

I ate all the candy that was in my six plastic eggs during the trip home from school.  I enjoyed the egg hunt and the party.  I had a good day at school.

At home, GGM and I played with Play Dough.  Barbara read me four stories.  Lately I have only wanted her to "tell" me stories, but today I said she could read from books.  My first request was to hear "Wacky Wednesday."

I sometimes eat Fiber One cereal dry as a snack.   Today I wanted it with milk and I ate and ate and ate it.

Barbara and I went outside to get some sun and after playing in the dirt, I crawled into her lap and requested a story about Dora and Diego.  With the warm sun hitting my back, I was soon asleep.  Barbara waited for GGF to come to the back door, so he could open the door and she could carry me in to the sofa. I slept for 2 hours.

When Mommy got home we had spaghetti for dinner.  I especially like to eat the onions.  My daddy doesn't eat onions.  We had the cornbread that I like also.

Yesterday we wanted to go take my picture with the bluebonnets which are in full bloom now but we had a full day without that activity.  This morning our home electricity was scheduled to be off from 8am to 1am for some kind of maintenance, so we thought we would drive to the lake to spend time with Grandma and go take my pictures with the bluebonnets.

The patch of bluebonnets at the Conroe library were a bit weedy this year,
so Grandma took us to a large patch she found next to the Conroe post office.  I was semi-willing to follow directions.  And it was cold so we had to be quick about getting the job done.
Here are a few of the many pictures that were taken:

We haven't cropped these pictures yet.  We wanted to get them on here ASAP, so enjoy them as they are.
Grandma drove us by Andy's new home and Andy's place of work so we would see them.  It did look like the previous owners were in the process of moving out.   I slept during the drive home and woke up when we pulled into the driveway... I was full of energy and ready to play..

GGM and I played with my cars and trucks.  We had accidents and said we needed to call "119."  GGM told me it was "911."  I said it right after that first wrong number.

I also helped her mop the downstairs floors.

When Mommy came home we played with Luke at Mr. Brad's home.  Later, I sat on Barbara's bed listening to our iPad while Mommy packed some glasses she had sold on ebay.

I have been so good about going to bed.  I guess I play pretty hard and am really ready to sleep.

The past couple of days I did not eat very well, but today I made up for it and ate everything put in front of me.

Happy 33rd Birthday, Mommy.   GGM Bates made her a strawberry shortcake, we sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed the cake with some Cool Whip on it.

First thing this morning I wanted to play with my new wheelbarrow over at Luke's.  I didn't get to because Luke was not outside.  I had to play in my own backyard.  Not as much fun as having another child to play with but I had fun anyway.

I stayed home with my GG parents while Mommy, Grandma, and Barbara finished getting my new home ready for a man to come  paint the concrete floors.   Now all the carpet, pads, and tack boards have been removed, along with a small amount of quarter round.   Everywhere there was carpet and the entry tile will be painted.  The other tile areas will remand as they are.

Today was a fun fun day.  Daddy took me to the ballpark so I could watch Harper, Hudson, and Beckett play baseball.  Laundry and I played in the playground and we had a great great time.

When the ballgames were over Daddy took me over to my new home so we got to see the progress that was being made.  Daddy got put to work.  He took out some of the tack boards.  I did not get to see much work being done.  For some reason they will not let me help with the work.  I can't wait to be big enough to swing a hammer and get my hands dirty.
Back home I helped GGF Bates put together the new wheelbarrow he bought for me.
Now Luke and I don't have to share one wheelbarrow.
I tried it out in my backyard.

 It was easy to fill,
easy to push,

and easy to empty.  I pushed it over to Luke's where we played pretty good moving dirt all around our construction site.
I examined an ant hill.  I know to keep away from those little biters.
I still like to be pulled around in my wagon.

We had take-out Chinese for dinner.  First time we have eaten out since Barbara and my GGP got here.  GGM really prefers to eat her own cooking.

This was an exhausting day.

I played in Mr. Brad's flowerbed with Luke all morning.  GGM watched me most of the time, with Barbara taking a turn.  After lunch, we all went to my new home to work.  Grandma, GGM and GGF Bates, Barbara, and I removed all the carpet and all the carpet pad.  I helped roll up every piece of carpet and pad.  GGF carried most of it to the garage.  Barbara forgot to take any pictures of this hard work.   Mommy was at work and we were finished before she got off work.
We came home exhausted, hot, and dirty so we turned on the hose so I could cool off.
My first water play of the year.
I was laughing hard because I could not get up the slipper slide.
Mommy and I did have time to play with Luke until it got dark.

We have decided to have our concrete floors painted.  Kristan's parents, and several of Grandma's friends have had this done and they all like it.  It costs more than laminate wood, but less than carpet or real hardwood floors and it is easy to take care of.  Hope we like it very much.

I like sleeping in my own big bed but this morning I crawled into Mimz' bed at 7:30am.
My Great Uncle Don and his wife came by at 8:30am and we all visited for about an hour.  They were happy that I was not at school yet so they got to visit with me.  I was only about 45 minutes late to school and everyone was so glad to see me when I arrived.
Mimz and I went to the park after school where we fed the ducks, went for a walk,
and on the play ground I played with a little boy named Max.  I can now get into the big boy swing by myself.
Mimz bought us some Easter cookies to enjoy.

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

I was the first person to get out of bed and soon everyone was awake.  I saw Mommy off to work.  I wanted to put on my gloves and work in the yard, but it had been raining and everything was wet and muddy, so instead I went to my play room and played all by myself.  Barbara could hear me talking and playing with friends.  Much later, GGF Bates came in and we played together for well over an hour.  Barbara and GGM Bates took that opportunity to lay down and read their books.

While GGM Bates fried some chicken and GGF Bates swept the driveway, Barbara and I went to Wal-Mart.  There was a big fire truck parked near the building so we went up to it for a close inspection.  We talked about the fire hose, all the controls, the big big wheels, and the 10 lug nuts.  We found the siren.  Inside the front window we saw some small stuffed animals that the fireman have for little children that might need some comfort.  When the fireman came out and got into their truck, they waved to me and turned on their flashing lights.  I was a happy boy.

In the store, I got a cookie from the bakery and as I always do I thanked the lady.  We quickly found everything on our list and returned home.  I finished helping GGF Bates sweep and then I helped Barbara push a large puddle of water down the street to the drain.

Inside I showed everyone how well I could play with the Geo-Safari game.  I did well, until I lost interest, then I started making mistakes.

Here I am playing with Mimz' neighbor's dog.

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

I did not have any time to play before leaving for school.  As soon as I was dressed and ate breakfast we had to leave.  It is a good thing I remember things.  As we were getting into the car, I told Barbara she needed to get my tennis shoes because I can not wear boots into school.  She totally forgot.  Last time she forgot my sippie cup and we had to get one from Mimz home before we got to school.

Some child threw wood shaving and I got some in my hair.  Miss Melody got out as much as she could.  Other than that I had a great time at school.  I can sing Row Row Row Your Boat and I'm a Little Teapot pretty well.  I ate all of my lunch.

My great grandparents were with Barbara when she picked me up from school.  We stopped at the bank to make a deposit.  The lady that sits next to the door said, "Hi Mason!"  I have been to the bank only two times but she remembers me.  Last time she gave me a little coloring book.

I started to play in the dirt but soon decided I would rather help GGM clean the downstairs floor.  I like squirting stuff on the floor and mopping.

Barbara and I played with my trucks, having accidents that required the police and tow trucks.  We also did all repairs.  I started watching a new Go, Diego, Go show and quickly fell asleep around 4:30pm.  I slept for over two hours when Mommy woke me up so I would be willing to go to bed at a reasonable hour.

Happy 25th Birthday, Aunt B!
We sang Happy Birthday yesterday to Bridget before we ate the Strawberry Pop cake GGM Bates fixed for us to celebrate.
GGF Bates played trucks and tow trucks with me.

There was a big woodpecker pecking on a pole in our neighbor's yard.  He was hard to find but I finally saw him.

This was a busy day for the adults.  The renters moved out of Mommy's home yesterday, so today we all went over there to get it ready for Mommy and me to move there.  I helped everyone do everything.  I also rode my scooter all around the house.  I didn't have on my helmet, but I was not going fast like I do in the street and I knew I had to be extra careful.  We do not have a date for us to move but it will happen before we know it.  Andy came over after work to change the door locks.

We got home around 3pm and I played outside in the dirt.  Barbara stayed with me until Mommy got home, then she stayed with me.  Luke was sick so he could not play outside.

I guess I will have to have a bath every night without fail.  I am covered with dirt (especially my hands, face, and legs) by the end of the day.  But maybe when it is warm enough for water play, I can go without a bath.  Mommy said we will have to wait and see about that.

I still insist on wearing long sleeved shirts and jeans.  So far, no one has been able to talk me into putting on shorts.
