At 8am I was still sleeping. I will have to stop sleeping so late in just a couple of days. School starts Monday.
Mimz is going out of town to spend a couple of days with friends for the New Year celebration. Mimz and I stopped at the doughnut shop to buy doughnuts and kalachies for us and GGM, GGF, and Barbara. Mimz and I met Barbara at Sprouts Farmers Market, where I jumped from one car to the other. Mimz gave Barbara the doughnuts and kalachies. She also gave her a big bag of oranges. One of Mimz' friends has an orange tree in her yard and she shares them. We wished Mimz a safe journey and then she was on the road.
I was not itching my eye today and it doesn't look bad, so maybe the drops Mimz put in my eyes helped.
I came inside and helped Barbara eat her kalachie and a couple bites of another doughnut, then I ran out to play with Anthony and Alyssa. Mommy got off work early. So around 2pm, we went over to Andy's. Grandma was there.
Andy and Kristan had invited four of Andy's long time friends and their families over to watch the two bowl games played tonight and to welcome in the new year.
OU lost big time to Clemson. We have a history of losing bowl games. .... so maybe next year we will do better. At half time Mommy brought me home and soon after we arrived, Daddy came to pick me up. I took my Ripstik and gear. I was wondering if I would be able to stay awake until midnight to welcome in the new year.
Daddy and I spend the evening outside with Mimz' neighbors. Mr. Jack had a lot of fire works so we gathered in front of his house for the show. Daddy had bought me some and we shared them with the neighborhood kids. I did manage to stay awake until midnight ... then I just crashed.
Mommy and Grandma were at an all-night scrape book event. Barbara, GGM, and GGF were asleep a few hours before midnight. Except when the fireworks would wake them up.
Bridget and Chris celebrated....
...and so did Mimz, The Rosses, and The Vogler's.

I slept until 9am, ate pancakes for breakfast, and got dressed so I could go practice riding my Ripstik caster board.
I have been so good about being patient about waiting for time to go skating. I laid on the sofa watching the iPad with Monk Monk before Mimz said it was time to eat and get dressed for skating. I wanted a hot dog for lunch.
Barbara drove Anthony and Alyssa to Champions Skating Rink and Mimz drove me there. It cost $7 to skate for the afternoon. I wore my new in-line skates. Anthony and Alyssa both rented skates for $3. We convinced them they did not need walkers and sure enough we all improved and were pretty confident skaters by the time we left.
Anthony and I like racing. It really is better if we just concentrate on learning to be smoother skaters and learn how to improve our skills. We all really enjoyed it. Mimz took me back to her home. Barbara took A & A home. They told there dad how they did not need walkers and how much they improved.
They were very pleased with their improvement.
I played outside most of the afternoon with the girls and Knox.
I started rubbing my eyes and my left eye was pretty red with a little blister on the side. Mimz put drops in both of my eyes right away.
Daddy came and got me. At his house we ate pizza and played with my x-box. When Daddy brought me back to Mimz home she put more eye drops in before bed.

I slept until 9:30am. That may be the latest I have ever slept in. I was up later than usual watching a movie with Anthony and Alyssa.
Anthony came over and we played. We played two games of Old Maid. I ended up being the Old Maid both times. Today I was a good sport about it. I am learning.
Anthony and I both like to build things.
We worked together on this project.
Grandma drove me over to Andy's so we could get AK's car seat into her car and we could all go to Mimz home to meet Mommy. While at Andy's I showed him how I have started to learn to use my Ripstik.
At Mimz' home I showed her how I can ride my Ripstik. I need a lot more practice, but I will get there.
The lights were fantastic at the Magical Winter Lights show. This picture is of Kristan, Anna Kate, Mommy, and me.
I was most impressed with the corn dog. I ate all but a few bites of a HUGH corn dog. It was so good. We all shared a funnel cake. There was a large carnival. I got to ride several rides by myself. One ride Mommy had to ride with me because I was too short to ride by myself.
On our drive back home, we stopped at Mimz home so I could spend the night with Mimz. Mommy's car was there so she was able to take Andy and his family back to their home and Grandma drove on to her house. By 9pm I was eating a bowl of cereal. I wanted to do my Ripstik but Mimz said that is for outside use, so I skated around the living room while we watched LSU and Tex Tech play football.
Uncle Scott and his family made it home last night after being snowed in Amarillo.

I slept until almost 9am. I went downstairs and GGM gave me frozen raisin bread and milk for breakfast. That was what I wanted. Barbara thought she heard my voice so she came looking for me. I was not in bed... I was sitting at the breakfast table with GGM. She asked me if I had told GGM what we were doing this morning. I had. We discussed what we could do with Anthony and Alyssa that would be mostly quiet. We can color, play a board game, build with Tinker Toys, and other building sets. We could play outside some, but it is going to stay cold all day. I got dressed and brushed my teeth and washed my little bit dirty face so I would be ready for company.
Mr Mark had to go into work for a couple of hours (as it turns out all day), so we agreed to babysit Anthony and Alyssa starting at ten o'clock.
At 9:50am I put on a heavy coat and walked to see if the kids were ready to come to my house. At 10a we walked back.
The first thing we did was draw. Then Alyssa quit drawing to play with my tool kit. We played a card matching game,...
... then with Tinker toys, ...
...then outside to drive the remote control cars around tracks we drew with sidewalk chalk.
We watched a few minutes of a Frosty the Snowman movie while eating popcorn (gift from Mimz.)
For lunch we had taco soup (again), chips, milk, and ice cream. We played football and tag outside. It was cold but we didn't mind.
Inside we played with action figures. We were very good most all of the day, mostly because Barbara was there supervising us all the time. At 1pm, A & A mom's came home, so we went over there for an hour, then we came back to my house until 5pm. We played Old Maid and had so much fun the first game when Anthony was the Old Maid. The second game I got mad and the game ended. I need to learn to be a better sport.
GGM made some sugar cookies, so we snacked on those. We next played with my Hot Wheel cars. Anthony and I went outside and rough housed. Alyssa stayed inside to play with Barbara.
The hardest thing is for us to be quiet while inside. GGF is bothered by our loud talk and boisterous play.
At 5pm we went over to Anthony's and started watching the movie Jurassic Park. Barbara was concerned that it would be too scary, but it was not scary to me.
Mimz has all of her Christmas decorations boxed. Daddy will help her store them away.
Barbara and GGF went to Papa Murphy's to get five pizzas for Brenda for New Years and after. She had a 50 percent off coupon. They had them all double wrapped and then they froze them all.
Uncle Scott and his family are stuck in Amarillo because of the snow. There were tornadoes in Oklahoma and Texas during the night and now cold weather and snow.

Today is Mimz and Pops 45th wedding anniversary. Mimz likes to take a walk down memory lane and think about their life together.
This is a picture taken at Lacey's wedding in December 2002. Uncle Scott, Daddy, Cousin Donnie, Uncle Don, and Pops. Pops is so very missed. I remember him, probably because I see pictures of him and Mimz and Daddy talk about Pops with me.
At Daddy's house we had an exciting front yard football game going on most of the morning with Daddy and his roommates and a couple other friends. I enjoy this guy time.
Daddy's roommates, James and Wes gave me two more games for my PlayStation.
Barbara and GGF went to Walmart and bought groceries with a gift card from Bridget. Back home they made a big pot of taco soup.
I watched some of the Texans football game with Daddy. The Texas won easily. I had on my Texans shirt.
It was a very rainy day, so when I got home Anthony, Alyssa, and I played in my garage.
We played with my remote control cars. We only had two cars, so we had to take turns.
In my room we played with action figures.
We all enjoyed eating taco soup with chips and milk.
We drew pictures.
When it was about to get dark, which was early because of the rain, we went over to their house to play. We squabble, but most of the time we play well together.
I check the watch Mimz gave me for Christmas all the time. I kept everyone informed as to what time it was. Mimz told me why the car clock might not always match my watch time. I think my time is the correct time. I have been told the rules: I am only to take it off at Mimz, Daddy, my home, or Grandma's home and I must put it in a safe place. I have two safe places at my home: Mommy's nightstand and my nightstand. I can take it off and give it to any of the adults in my life if I need to. It is not a terrible expensive watch, but I need to learn to take care of my things so these are good habits for me to develop. I am looking forward to wearing it to school, where I can keep everyone on schedule.

Grandma came to my home to help put away all the Christmas decorations except the wreaths that are on the windows. Papa will do that when he gets home January 6th or soon after. Grandma worked the 3D globe puzzle that Mimz gave to Barbara. It was the first time for either of them to work a 3D puzzle.
A funny thing: Barbara counted the number of jigsaw puzzles she and my great grandparents have: 136. They worked everyone of them in 2015. They write on the back of the box the date and who worked on the puzzle, so they know how many times and when they worked each puzzle. Well, Barbara knew they were supposed to have close to 200 puzzles, so she told GGM there must be more boxes of puzzles somewhere. GGM confessed. Before they moved here from Arkansas, she gave the library several stacks of puzzles. She didn't think she would every get caught. LOL. They laughed.
Mimz also spent the day putting away her Christmas decorations. She wants it all put away before she goes out of town on Thursday. Daddy and I came over to Mimz home to get my things that go to Daddy's home.
Later Daddy texted Mimz to let her know we were having such a good time with my new toys.
We needed a second controller for my PS4 so for the first time in Mimz life she went shopping the day after Christmas. She said it was not bad like she thought it might be. We just went to a store by her house.
Mimz, Daddy, and I went to the cemetery. On the way out of the blue, I asked if anyone was going to be sad and cry. Mimz told me that sometimes we are sad but most of the time we like to remember the happy and funny things we shared with Pops and Mimz' parents. I said I sometimes get sad. Mimz told me that was okay.
I also asked what month was Pop's birthday. When Daddy said May I immediately said, "Mimz, Pops was one month older than you." Daddy and Mimz just looked at each other in wonder because most children my age would not realize that without saying all the months in order. It just popped out of my mouth in a second.
Mimz watched me play a Lego game on my Play Station and she said I am getting good at it. Mimz would have taken me home with her but I wanted to stay with Daddy. Daddy told Mimz I was asleep one minute after she left.

Merry Christmas to all!
Merry Christmas to all!
There were only cookie crumbs left on the plate.... Santa had been here!
I think it was after 8am before I woke up. I was the last person to wake up. Before I was down the stairs I saw what Santa had given me: a X-Box 1 game station and three games.
I was thrilled and wanted it to be hooked up right then... didn't happen. I found some fun things in my stocking including a new toothbrush, floss, and kids mouthwash.
Barbara fixed a frittata for breakfast: egg, potato, onion, sausage, bacon, and cheese for those that wanted it.
There was only one slice left uneaten.
Grandma fixed Monkey Bread. I would not eat the frittata. I had oatmeal and then Monkey Bread.
There was not much monkey bread left either. That is the tin of popcorn from Mimz and me.
After the kitchen was cleaned up, we unwrapped presents. By far, I had the most gifts. I would say more than 50 percent were for me. It isn't my fault. Just think... all of these people buy me at least one present: GGM and GGF (always college fund money), Grandma and Papa, Grammie and Bubba, Lisa and Danny, Tim, Andy and Kristan, Mommy, Mimz, and Daddy. See why I can't be blamed for having so much??
We played the same Happy Holiday game we played at my school. I was the MC and the judge. I had a whistle and I also helped GGF a little. Mommy, GGF, and Barbara won but just by one letter. They all enjoyed playing this game.
Mommy took me to meet Daddy and at Mimz' home I had more gifts.
Mimz bought me some in-line skates and a watch. I have been wanting both of those things. It took me a very short amount of time to get the hang of using in-line skates.
Daddy bought me a Play Station and Star Wars action figures. And there were other neat things also. Oh, what a lucky boy I am!
Back home, I played with Anthony and Alyssa. We played with remote control cars mostly. GGM, Grandma, and Barbara worked on a 2000 piece puzzle. They had it finished in 24 hours. It was a puzzle Andy gave them for Christmas in 2006. This was the sixth time they had worked it.
For Christmas dinner we had Papa Murphy's pizza and salad. Everyone really enjoyed it. Easy and very tasty. Nothing much to clean up after!
I had a bad spell. Totally uncalled for. When will I learn. I haven't wanted to read during the holiday break but tonight I did read half of Go Dog Go. I fell asleep before I could finish reading it.
Barbara took lots of pictures. She will try to get some posted soon.
Mommy helped me learn how to play Checkers. GGF was an excellent Checkers player when he was younger.
I was in bed reading at 7:30p and asleep before 8pm.
Mimz and Daddy spent the day with Aunt Kathy's family. All four of Kathy's grandchildren got in-line skates just like I did.
Here are seven pictures of mot of my gifts. The presents I got at Mimz house are not pictured below:
Barbara has a list on her computer of who gave me what.

Thursday December 24, 2015
I tried to stay up to watch a football game last night but I fell asleep during the third quarter. The first thing I asked Mimz this morning was who won that game. My team did win!
I went with Daddy to deliver gifts to some of his clients.
I played with Mimz' neighbors Knox and Skyler. I guess most 6-year-old children are excited about Christmas. I sure am.
Mimz and Daddy helped me get dressed for the 4pm mass. I enjoyed the service.
Back at Mimz' home we had dinner and I opened two gifts, nine Star Wars action figure from Uncle Scott and family and a nerf gun. Daddy had to go home to bed soon after we got home from mass because he had to get up at 4am. He has been helping feed the homeless on Christmas Day for several years. Daddy always cooks the bacon and sausage and he enjoys that.
I came home around 7pm. Mommy knew what gift she wanted me to open but she didn't know which game was in which of these three boxes, so Grandma and I sort of peeked and when Grandma saw the right one, I opened it. It was the game Sorry.
While Mommy took a shower; Bridget, Grandma, and I started playing the game. We had not finished when it was time for us to leave for 9pm mass, so we left the board right where it was and finished when we came back home.
Mommy said I was such a boy during the mass. I enjoyed being there.
I brought home some magic reindeer food from my school Christmas party. I took it outside and was sprinkling it in the yard, when Brad saw me and asked what I was doing. After I told him, he asked me to sprinkle some on his yard because he wanted Santa to find his home too.
I insisted that my family open the gifts from Mimz and me. There was a big tin full of three kinds of popcorn for us all to share. I told Mimz everyone likes popcorn. Funny thing: We had ordered caramel popcorn to give to Mimz for Christmas from the Boy Scouts when they came to the door.
While we were at church, Barbara worked on the 3D globe puzzle Mimz and I gave to her. She had it finished when we arrived home
The last thing I did before going to bed, was put out a plate of sugar cookies and milk for Santa. I was asleep around 11pm.
