I spent the night at Barbara's because Mommy was feeling bad.  I woke up at 6:15 ready to get dressed and start playing... so that is what happened just as soon as we all finished eating breakfast.  We worked on rebuilding our car town.
Then we played with sidewalk chalk.
We drew lots of funny pictures.  I drew this submarine.   The temperature was 55 degrees and it felt good after the 30 degree temperatures we have been having.
Barbara wanted me to put this picture on the blog...
but I said this was better.  This is what I do most of the time... I am on the go most of the time.

Barbara has alarms set on her phone for 8am and 8pm for GGM to put in her eye drops so we decided that would be a good time to put my ointment on my rough skin spots.

I told Barbara she was a genius.  She was so surprised I knew that word and could use it appropriately.  Later while were in the car and I was using our iPad, she head the app say, "You are a genius."   Now she knows where I heard the word.

Around 10am, PaPa and Grandma came to town to run a couple errands and they took me with them. First stop at Wal-Mart was the bakery to get me a cookie!

At the lake, PaPa and I played soccer and threw a baseball in the front yard.  Grandma would have been playing with us but she had to do ProLawn work.  A new treadmill and cross-trainer were delivered and set up.  PaPa and I tried them out.

Grandma and I timed our leaving the lake so we would arrive at Mommy's work at 5pm.  Mommy would take me home.  After he got off work, Daddy came over.  Mommy rested, she still doesn't feel good.

Pajama Party at school today!  I was so looking forward to wearing my Spiderman pj's.  I also was happy to get to take Monk Monk to school.  He has never been before.  Only children who take naps in the afternoon can bring a toy and since I am only a "morning student" I can't.   But today is different! Stuffed animals are welcome. Woo Hoo!

When Miss Melody was helping me get out of the car, she saw my pajama's under my coat.  She said, "Mason, did you forget to get dressed?"  I knew she was kidding and I laughed.  When she saw my red Valentine heart, she said it was beautiful.

We had hot chocolate (no marshmallows) and brownies as special treats for our pajama party.  Two boys didn't wear pj's but all of the other children did.  And Mrs. Annette had on pajama pants.  Miss Kathy had on house shoes.  The day was a success.
I found GGF's winter cap and discovered that it really keeps our head and ears warm.

I played nicely all day until 4pm, then we had to leave for my appointment with Dr. Lacour to see what those 12 or so bumps I have on my body are, mostly on my right side above my waist.  Mommy was sick and could not go, so Barbara took me and Daddy met us at the doctor's office.
My traditional picture taken in the doctor's waiting room.  My appointment was for 4:20pm.
I played with the magnets on the magnetic wall.  At 5:20pm our wait was almost over.  Dr. Lacour finally came into the room.  He shook hands with all of us.
 My heart sounded great.
My ears and throat were in good condition also.  The bumps are molluscum contagiosum.   I got this virus from some child, somewhere.  It normally only affects children under 10 years of age.  The bumps first showed up about two months ago and I have gotten a few more since then, so we decided it would be a good idea to get them checked.

They will go away on their own in weeks, months, or up to two years.  Right before they disappear they will get "angry" and red and look like they are maybe infected, but that is just the way they act.
There is a treatment which would require doctor's visits every two weeks or so, to get a couple of them treated at a time.  They would blister, and might bother me, so it has been decided that we will just leave them be.  If I get some on my neck, then we might want to treat them so they don't spread to my face.  We did get a prescription for Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment, 0.1%, a steroid that will help the skin around the little "warts" to not get red, rough, or itch.  We are to rub it on twice a day and wash our hands well after putting it on me.   I have used this same ointment before, but I don't remember what we put it on.

I weighed 39.8 pounds.  I am 42.5 inches tall, and my temperature was 98.0.

I think it was after 6:30 by the time we got my prescription filled and got home.  I didn't want taco soup, or anything else that was offered to me.  Finally I agreed to eat some cold cereal with milk and a breakfast biscuit.

GGM played cars with me until Barbara could get a few things done, then Barbara and I went into her room.  I played on the iPad while she did some computer work.I fell asleep at 8:40.

I had a great surprise at 8:50am... I had just arrived at school, not even having time to take off my seat belt when Barbara's phone rang... it was Mimz!  She was calling to see how I was.  I told her it was freezing outside and that yesterday we did not have school because the weatherman predicted bad driving conditions.   As it turns out he was wrong.  It was cold but we only had a bit of sleet for a short time.
Mimz sent me this picture of her ship.
She was in St. Maarten when she called me.
Mimz was getting ready to go swimming on this beach.  She will be back Saturday and I plan to go to the airport with Daddy to pick her up.

We did get to play outside and we had to wear our heavy coats.  All of us kids were excited about pajama party tomorrow.  The school sent home a paper to remind parents, but there is no way, I would forget to wear a pair of pajamas to school tomorrow!

As soon as I got home, I very nicely apologized to GGM for my unwillingness to say I was sorry for hurting her by throwing a ball at her face.  I sometimes get embarrassed and defensive when I am reprimanded.

I was thrilled to find two new rubber balls, one orange, and one dark blue, waiting in the living room for us to have lots of fun with.  GGM and I tossed both balls up the staircase and caught them when they returned.

I convinced both Barbara and GGM that we should rebuild Car Town.  We got started and will keep working on it.  I practiced my golf putting.  Barbara and I practiced fencing.  And we all played Keep Away for a long time.
Monk Monk has been bald for a  month or so....

I want to take him to school tomorrow, so he finally got some new bright red hair.

I took my new orange ball home with me.  I have several balls at home, so I might bring this one back, if I don't need it at home.  I have a purple, light blue, dark blue, green and pink rubbers balls at Barbara's and we play with every one of them.  GGM thinks you can not have too many balls... and I agree with her.
I am always up to something besides normal standing and sitting.  I keep everyone entertained with the things I find to do.
A Boy Scout we know is working to become an Eagle Scout.  His project is to gather 500 stuffed animals to give to policeman so they will have something to help comfort children that might find themselves in a squad car.  I am giving him these animals for his project.

I rarely forgot to ask GGM if I may have a piece of gum.  She allows me to have one piece of sugarless gum a day.  I sometimes put it back on the gum wrapper to finish chewing it later.

In Barbara's car she has some Curiously Strong Cinnamon Altoids breath mints.  I may have two a day of those.  I used to need to have a drink after eating one of them, but now I am tougher and can handle the strong flavor.

I found a new Hot Wheels pick-up truck when I went upstairs.  It reminds me of Daddy truck, except the color is different.

I behaved perfectly all day.  No Time Outs, no pouting or "attitude."  Everyone loves those kind of days.  I like them too.  First thing I told Mommy when I saw her was that there were No Time Outs today.  Daddy wanted to know if I apologized to GGM and I had, so both of my parents were very happy.

Carson came over to play with me.  Mommy showed us how to how to make paper airplanes out of construction paper.  We made six planes and had them flying all over the living room.  We also played with swords.  I out-shine Carson at sword fights.  I have all kinds of fancy moves.  He doesn't... but he can do other things that I can't.
I has a homework assignment to decorate a red heart for the bulletin board at school.  Mommy cut out the pictures and I stuck everything on the heart.  I have more family that I love, so if you don't see your picture, I have not forgotten you... just had to work with what I had on hand.

School was closed today.  I am too young to be happy about that.  I like getting to play with my friends at school.

At 8am it was right around 32 degrees and the temperature was still falling.  We had a 60 percent chance of snow until 2pm then it would start warming up again.  If it had snowed, it would be my first time to see it except for a couple of flakes when I was a couple of months old, so that really doesn't count.

It was sleeting when Mommy brought me over.  Hopefully all the bad weather is over by the time she gets off work.....
...... the really bad weather failed to develop.  It stopped sleeting around 9:30am and that was all the precipitation we had at Barbara's house.  The temperature stayed right around freezing.
We told our Oklahoma relatives about our "bad weather" and school cancellation.  We sent this picture and they laughed at how silly Texans are!  It you zoom in on the roof, you can see a bit of snow, the first snow I have every seen.  But I think we will not count this, since it did not officially snow and I did not get to touch it or play in it.
We did find a bit of ice in the garden pot.  I got to touch it.

I asked to play with Car Town, but I was told that was not going to happen today.  We don't know when it will happen.  There are consequences to my actions.  I sort of tore up Car Town yesterday.  We played lots of dodge ball and football.  Barbara and I played with Lego's building a house and two cars and I made an invention.
 I willingly washed my hands....
... so I could help GGM make some cinnamon rolls.  I had my own rolling out mat and my own wad of dough.  I kneaded it....
 ... I rolled it out...
I looked up when Barbara asked me to....
When GGM needed my help, I willingly lent her a hand.
 We had a few laughs...
I used my knife to cut my rolls...
, when I finished cutting it, I wadded it up and started all over again.
After GGM was finished and the kitchen was cleaned up, I was still playing with my dough.  It is a lot of work, and it takes a long time, but the cinnamon rolls were worth the effort.

Barbara read me a different version of the Three Little Pigs.  It was animated with cute figures made of moving clay and on the iPad, but the wolf ate two of the pigs, so I found it a little scary.  Barbara said she would delete it.  I said, "No, don't delete it.  Give it to Carson.  It would not scare him.  He is braver than I am."

We had salmon patties today and for the first time, I ate them and said I liked them.  The last three or four times, I have either been unwilling to try or would barely try them.
We played a lot of indoor golf.  I practiced putting..........
I know I have my hands backwards on the club, but I would not listen to Barbara or GGM because they have never played golf.  I will only listen to Daddy or PaPa because I think they know what they are talking about.
I also know I should be using my putter, but again, I have a mind of my own.
These two swords were what I was aiming for.  I did pretty good.

We played a lot of  Keep Away, even GGF joined in for a few minutes.
Oops!  I'm glad GGF didn't fall.  We both got a little rambuncious.
GGM was really laughing at my antics.

I had two short bad episodes today.  I got mad because Barbara did not jump immediately to play something with me.  My attitude caused me to end up in TO, which made me madder.  As soon as TO was over, I went downstairs and played happily with GGM.   The other episode happened after I had been asked 101 times to please bounce the balls to GGM and Barbara instead of throwing the balls straight at them.  They are afraid I will hit their glasses and they will get hurt.  I hurt GGM twice today by doing this.  The last time, I was four feet away from her and I refused to say I was sorry.  I was embarrassed to be reprimanded in front of everyone.  I would rather argue than say "sorry."   Mommy was told about this and both of my parents talked to me about this problem.  I ended up promising I would apologize to GGM tomorrow.   I really don't like it when Barbara shares my bad behaviour with Mommy.

Monday, January 27, 2014

It was a routine day with one exception.  GGM and Barbara made four batches of poof corn and I tried to help but mostly the different steps include HOT things, so it was decided it was best for me to be far away since I move quickly and could put myself in a hazardous situation.

I did get a new green Hot Wheel convertible.  I found it in the Car Town garage being working on.  I noticed it immediately and knew who to thank for it.  I did ask Barbara what she gave me for Christmas.  She said she didn't buy be anything for Christmas because I get way too much at Christmas.  She plays with me all year long and that is a BIG gift of love.
I like using my chalk board easel.

A few times I have been caught telling "untruths."  And even if caught I won't tell the truth.  That is something that will have to be dealt with.  I seem to not feel any guilt at being caught.

We played all the regular games and 95 percent of the day I was a very happy boy.  At one point I was playing by myself so Barbara went into her room and laid down.  She fell asleep and when GGM came upstairs she discovered that I had sort of torn up my Car Town in my rather rough play.  I told her I was tired of Car Town and didn't want it any more.  So she started boxing it up.  Barbara woke up and helped her.  So now if someone wants to play pool they can.  We shall see if Car Town is rebuilt one day.  I wonder what we are going to do with those couple of hours each day that we had been spending in Car Town????

After I got home, Carson came over and he and I played nicely together.

Sunday, January 26, 2014

Mommy and I went to Shipley's to get our favorite donuts.  Then we went over to Barbara's to play with her and my great grandparents.
I took my real golf clubs, a Christmas present from Daddy, and practiced my golf swing.  I showed Mommy our new hockey game.  Mommy and I played two different matching games.  Around 1pm GGM, GGF, Barbara and I drove to the lake to enjoy PaPa's grilled hamburgers.  While I was gone, Mommy cleaned house and went to the grocery store. We were home well before dark.
I did take my golf clubs.  PaPa gave me a lesson and everybody watched me practice my swing and sometimes I would take one person outside to have just that person watch.

The wiffle golf balls work much better than the real golf balls.  I get a better lift on the balls.  PaPa gave me a half dozen white ones.  Barbara has at least a dozen orange ones for me to use.

Barbara had a couple new apps on our iPad, so I played with those in the car, both coming and going.  That helped pass the time on that long 50 minute drive to PaPa's home.  I helped PaPa fix something on one of the flag poles.  I ate the vegetables well, but only took three bites of my hamberger.  PaPa said he would eat the rest of it for dinner.

On our drive home we drove by the house in PaPa's neighborhood that burned down a month ago.  It really upset me.  For the next ten minutes I kept asking "Why?  Why did it burn down.  It was so pretty."  Once before I was upset by a cartoon that had a house on fire.  And when Daddy was a little boy, he got upset after watching a fire safety film."  I guess house fires are upsetting to little boys.

Mimz and Mrs Ross had an easy boarding onto their ship.  This is a picture of their ship.  The first thing they did was "chill" on their rooms' balcony.

Daddy and I waited for his new clothes dryer to be delivered to his apartment.

Today Mimz and Mrs Ross left for their cruise.  They flew to Florida.  We have some placemats with a map of the 50 states and GGM and I looked on the map to find Florida and the area Mimz will be crusing.
Mimz and Mrs Ross started their vacation at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Texas...
...and they flew all the way to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  I can identify several states on the map: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, California, Tennessee, Vermont, and Maine.

This is another little video for Mimz and Mrs. Ross.

It was 28 degrees but the streets are okay for driving.
Watson Farm in Car Town and near by lake.
We have a Panda Express, Chic-a-Fil, and drive-in movie in our town.
The mechnic keeps very busy fixing cars.  We have lots of crashes.
GGM liked the spaghetti and meatballs I made her out of Play Dough.
I made a pretty green plate and Barbara helped me make a rattlesnake pizza.  GGM ate it, then we told her what it was.  Her reaction was funny.  We also made some pretty cookies but forgot to take picture before they were rolled up and put back in the Play Dough containers.   Play Dough is one of our best toy buys.  We play with it often.

Mimz woke up with a sinus infection and she leaves on Friday for a cruise with Mrs Kay Ross.  I hope the medicine the doctor perscriped gets rid of it very quickly so she feels and sounds better.
I asked Mimz if she could give me a picture of her so when I missed her I could look at it while she was on vacation.  She didn't have a recent printed picture, so I suggested she text a picture to Barbara's phone and I could look at it on the phone.  So that is what she did.
Since Mimz will still be on her vacation on January 30th she put my spiderman pajamas in my backpack so I could have them to wear to school for our pajama party.

After picking me up from school, Barbara, GGF, and I stopped at Panda Express to get two meals.  The lady at the drive-thre always recognizes me and she waves and says hi to me.  She knows I am the fortune cookie eater in the family.  Well, we all like them, but I get to eat them.  We really don't go there often, maybe once a week or even less than that.

I had two rather bad spells today.  I talked back and got scolded and that made me really have a bad attitude and that soon lead to Time Outs.  Hopefully I learn how I should react to avoid trouble.  The adults try to talk to avert TOs, but I sometimes just will not listen.

We played all day, mostly inside, but one time Barbara and I played in the open garage for ten minutes until we both agreed we had had enough of the cold temperatures.

A fun thing I did today was make a short video for Mimz and Mrs Ross, telling them to have a fun vacation and I loved them.  We sent it to Mimz and she wrote back "Thank you, Mason.  I love you too and will look at your video and picture every day."

I helped GGM bake a cake.  It was not the best cooking session because I would not properly wash my hands and that led to a scene.  When will I learn to just do what I need to do and proceed?

It was very very cold when I went out to get in Mommy's car to get home.  Well, it was almost freezing and I am not used to that temperature.  The wind was blowing and that made it worse.  I was glad to get home where it was warm.

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

At Barbara's I always ask for grits for breakfast.  Then I will eat other things, like sausage, or toast, or whatever someone else is having that looks tasty.  Lately, I have really been eating well.  I guess I am a growing boy.

Both GGM and GGF wanted to come along for the ride taking me to school.  We talked about my friends at school and my teacher, and that I miss my friends on the days I don't go to school.
Mimz picked me up after school and I was in for a nice surprise.  We didn't go home... we went to the park just a few blocks from my school. There were two little girls there for me to play with and I loved that.  I talked up a storm with one dad, telling him my favorite football teams are the Dallas Cowboys and then the Texans.  I had on a Texans shirt.  I found out he were going to have another baby girl in a couple of weeks.  I bet that dad wishes he had a boy like me to talk about football.

Mimz and I went to Sears Outlet to pick out a new clothes dryer for Daddy.  On the trip home I was asleep within 30 seconds.  We made it home and I laid on the sofa to watch a TV show.

I forgot to write on my blog today.   Let's see if I can remember this day.

One thing I won't forget: Andy and Kristan are going to have a baby!
Here is the baby's first picture.  It is due around September 4th.  We have three other birthdays in September:  Kristan on the 16th, Grandma on the 12th, and me on the 21st.    I will be almost five years old when the baby arrives and old enough to be a big help.  I do like to help with all kinds of tasks.
I have a pair of Pirate Jake house shoes but my big Watson feet are almost to big for them.

I had school and TOT basketball.  After class my TOT teacher talked to Barbara.  She told her she appreciated Dee's  (Mimz) help at my performance.  And Mimz did a great job with the kids.  I need to remember to tell Mimz what she said.

Barbara forgot to bring me a drink when she picked me up, so we got me a cup of water at Panda Express while we were getting GGF a Honey Walnut Shrimp dinner.  It turned out to be a good thing, because that cup is now the new Panda Express store in Car Town.  We have a field for crops, and just now added a field to the Watson Farm for animals.  There is a horse, cow, and sheep in that field.  Also we have a pig in a pig sty.  We will add a chicken coop, when I find my chicken.  I like to go to the farm and pick and buy some produce.  I then stop at the donut shop, take it all home, and then all the cars come to my house for a big party.  Today at the party, we had corn-on-the-cob, watermelon, and donuts.

GGF, Barbara, and I played outside for a short time.  We cleaned leaves out of the fish pond and picked up some sweet gum tree balls.

GGF looked over our town and said we need a gas station.  And we need a car wash, too.  The car wash we once had was really a Christmas decoration and that was packed away.

We worked puzzles, and played matching games.  GGF and GGM played Dodge Ball with me and Barbara was the ball retriever.  There was very little Power Ranger play today.  Barbara and I played Legos and played a couple of games on the iPad.  We also spent a lot of time fishing.  Sometimes the fish would get away, sometimes they would make it into a skillet and we enjoyed a meal of fried fish.  This was all pretend.

We had all leftovers for dinner: baby-back ribs, roast with carrots, mashed potatoes, and peas.  Now we have no more leftovers.  We will have to cook again.

I ended up spending the evening and night because Mommy was feeling sick.
