Barbara came over to my house this morning because she needed to go to the grocery store.  As soon as I was dressed we went to Walmart.  We got a Big Pancake breakfast at McDonald's.  That is only the second time in my life Barbara has taken me to McDonald's for breakfast.  I ate a bunch of everything.  Our next stop was the bakery.  We wrapped up the cookie and put it in Barbara's purse for me to eat later.

I helped find the biscuits, tomato juice, apple juice, Dr. Pepper, and macaroni that were on our list.  We also bought me a box of Capri Sun pouches.  As it turns out, I didn't like them... that is why Barbara rarely buys me "odd" stuff.
At home I brushed my teeth before GGM and I started work on a car town project.
We made a big big bridge.  It is named the Bridget Bridge.  We put her picture on it and there is water under the bridge.  The water really is Mardi Gras necklaces.
I counted all of these clocks.

We read the two books Mimz loaned us.  We all laughed at the trouble David got into.
GGF and I watched Gunsmoke.

I sat on the sofa and had a quiet time... this is a rare occurance.
When Barbara takes my picture and says my name, I either turn and smile, or hide my face.  It makes her happy when I smile.

We played a form of basketball.  Final score:   Mason 7, Barbara 5
We played more in Car Town.  We used our cardboard ramp to race our cars.  I found a new Hot Wheels car.  I never miss spotting the new cars when they appear.  I need to count my cars one day soon.  I bet I am getting close to 40 cars.  That is not too many for a years time of collecting them.

Mommy and Grandma have a scrapbooking convention, so Daddy is taking care of me this weekend.  He got off work early so he was over at Barbara's at 5pm.  I had already eaten "dinner/breakfast" (scrambled eggs, toast, sausage and milk).  GGM, GGF, and Barbara often eat around 5pm.
We were outside throwing three of my big rubber balls at the house and kicking them and just having a good time in general when Daddy drove up.  I was happy to see him.   Barbara promised to be at my soccer game tomorrow.

I woke up happy, knowing I had two activities planned for the day.  School and visiting Mimz.

When someone asks me about my day at school, I always start by saying how many times we got to play outside.  I played fighting with Brant. Barbara wouldn't let me buy my lunch again today.  She sent me off to school with chicken nuggets.

As soon as I got into Barbara's car after school, I asked if we were going to visit Mimz.  The answer was yes, and if less than five minutes we were ringing Mimz doorbell.  We had two surprises for her.  A sack of books she had ordered from my school and a little sack of Snickerdoodle cookies that I helped GGM make.  I immediately ate a cookie.  We visited with Mimz for maybe an hour.  Part of the time I played by myself in my toy room and part of the time we read some of my new books.  I ate a cookie.

Mimz is very glad to be home after spending several days in the hospital.  She still needs to rest and gain back her strength.  She was very glad we came by for a visit.

At Barbara's home we worked in the yard.  You would not believe how many sweet gum balls had fallen since the last time we picked them up a couple days ago.
GGM played in Car Town with me.  Barbara watched me play in the bathtub and helped me get clean.  Then GGM worked on a jigsaw puzzle while she listened to Barbara read the two books Mimz sent home with us.   They were about a little boy who did a lot of things that got him in trouble, (like playing ball in the house, picking his nose, writing on the wall, pulling the cats tail, overfilling the bathtub, tracking mud into the house, running down the street naked and a bunch of other things) but in the end his parents still loved him.  We laughed at how much trouble that little boy got into.

Barbara thinks I might have an ingrown toe nail.  Mimz will look at it next time she sees me.  Daddy had that problem when he was a boy.  And I do have my daddy's feet.
It was the end of the day and I was ready for Mommy to pick me up.  Barbara headed to bed as soon as she closed the door behind me.

Good news:  Mimz' gallbladder surgery was scheduled for 1pm this afternoon.  She was all ready for it, having had a great shower, with a special soap to kill germs.  Poor Mimz hasn't had any real food since Sunday afternoon. She must be hungry and weak.  They did more testing in the morning and decided she had pancreatitis but it was not due to gallstones.  They took the tube out of her nose and she was glad about that.  Daddy will take her home after he gets off work tonight.   She has to take it easy for a few days and have clear liquids.  I'm hoping she gets to feeling good soon and is out in the backyard playing soccer soon.

It was 48 degrees this morning and that felt cold after having such nice warm weather for the past week.  We couldn't play outside because it was rained off and on all day.  Mimz and I had told Barbara how much I enjoy buying a hot dog lunch of Wednesday, so I didn't take my lunch today. Barbara asked how my hot dog lunch was, I said I didn't have a hot dog.  I chose to have a chicken nugget lunchable.... that is what she puts in my lunch most days!  Go figure!
Here I am cleaning my easel...
...and picking up other toys.
Playing pretend.... I do a lot of that.
Me watching something on the iPad.

Old fashioned idea: My soccer practice was scheduled for 5:30pm.  We had a soft rain most of the day so we wondered if that would affect my practice.  Barbara remembers how it was in the old days, and she thought we would find out from the coaches if practice was canceled.  Well, times have changed.  Now we just had to go to the Klein Soccer Club web site and the answer was posted saying the soccer park was closed today due to rain.

I have only wanted to eat pancakes for the past few days.  I might try a bite of two of something else, but in the end it is pancakes that I have devoured.    Today GGM fixed goulash.  I ate about ten bites, then said I wanted pancakes.  Barbara zapped one in the microwave oven, and I quickly ate it before I headed upstairs.  I had noticed GGM had gone upstairs and I figured I could get her to play Cars with me.  She had gone up there to work on a jigsaw puzzle, but I convinced her she would have more fun playing in Car Town.
Playing catch in the garage.

I know I am to set my milk glass away from the edge of the table so I won't accidentally hit it and have it spill.  I was doing just that when it spilled.  It was okay, except that I had only drank about half of it and it had my Merilax dose in it.  Oh, well, we will just hope I got enough to keep me regular.

I have three tiny new skin tags on my right forearm and one on my upper left chest near my shoulder.  The two Barbara and Mommy picked at went away.  I wonder if they will do the same with these very tiny ones.  I wonder if that is a bad thing to do or not.  The others I have are too big to get rid of that way now.  We are just waiting for them to disappear on their own.  Dr. Lacour said it could take weeks or months or up to two years for them to disappear on their own.

I played nicely by myself a few times today.  I still really prefer to have a playmate.

A funny thing:  Barbara was saying "hockey puck" and it came out "pockey huck."  I laughed and laughed.   A few months ago, I wouldn't have known what had happened, but I "get" a lot of things now.

Today I asked Barbara if she remembered the time the electricity was out and Mommy had to get ready for work using a flashlight.  She did remember, but what amazed her was that that was before GGM and GGF moved down here and they have lived here a year now.  She couldn't believe that I could remember that.

Oh, dear, I forgot to write about my day today.  Let's see if I can remember it.
I went to school and then to TOT (basketball).

TOT used to be from 12>45 to 1:30.  Now it is from 12:30 to 1.

I picked up these letters and said, "This spells Go!"

Monday, February 24, 2014

Daddy brought me over to Barbara's around 9am.  After being there for awhile I said something about Mimz being at the hospital.  Barbara said Mimz volunteers at the hospital on Tuesday and Friday.  I again said she was at the hospital AND Daddy was going to see her.   Later Barbara talked to Grandma and found out Mimz was at the hospital as a patient!  She went into the hospital at 11pm last night.  She may need to have a gallbladder operation.  Bridget had her gallbladder removed when she was a student at OU.  And Bubba (PaPa's father) had his removed many many years ago.
Barbara, GGM, and I played ALL day.  First thing we did was work on the adult puzzle.  I have proven that I will not mess up the puzzle, so they are always willing to let me help.

Everyday one of us comes up with an idea of something to add to Car Town.  Today we added a Heliport and an airport.  I have a small airplane and it crashed several times and the hospital is full of patients.  I mentioned again that we need a school.  We voted and decided that the post office will become a school and it's name will be Kindergarten.  We have a little school bus ready to transport the children to school.  We are thinking about adding a soccer field.  Real estate is our biggest problem.  We have a limited amount of space.

We were outside about half of the day.  It was very overcast but never really rained.
 We trimmed back two bushes.

We picked up sweet gum balls.  We played golf, soccer, and catch.
We had a snack outside.
I am supposed to start playing by myself more.  So I played Army outside for about ten minutes all by myself.
Barbara and Grandma say they can't play like a four-year-old for ten hours a day.  They need some time to rest or do other things.  I enjoy having them entertain me all day, but I said I would entertain myself more and more.

Grandma came over for half an hour on her way home from her job.  She played golf with me while Barbara and GGM sat on the sofa in the garage to rest a bit.

Barbara showed me how to blow great big bubbles using just her soapy hands.  If I would have agreed to take a bath she said she would help me blow them, but I preferred not to take time for a bath, so that little activity will wait for another day.
The only TV I watched today was Gunsmoke.
All four of us sat down to watch it.  Barbara told me the winter Olympics ended last night.  She recorded the closing ceremony and said she would show me a bit of it... another day.

Daddy picked me up and took me to visit Mimz.  Daddy had explained to me that Mimz had a tube coming out of her nose so I was knew to expect that.  We had a great visit.
I enjoyed making the head of the bed go up and down and I wanted to know about everything.  I asked where the doctor was.   We all hope Mimz recovers quickly.

Mommy, Daddy, and I played at Mommy's home all day today.

My second soccer game was today.
It was picture day.  In this picture my head is hidden by the photographers arm.
I am standing on the right side of this picture waiting for the game to get restarted.  Some of the kids were hanging from the goal!  We still are a "motley" bunch.   Two kids cried.  Several didn't want to play.  Now me, I wanted to be on the field the entire time. One time I had to wait on the sideline so all the children could have some "game time."  Everyone improved.  We just need a few more games under our belts.
 Water break.
At the end of the game.  We would have lost if score was kept.  Oh, I had one good offensive play and one good defensive play.  Woo Hoo!  GGM suggested we go watch bigger boys play so I could get a better picture of what the objective of soccer.  Mimz thought that was a great idea.

Mommy, Daddy, and I went over to Andy's home.  We played soccer.  We played with my hand gun and my rifle.  We ate chocolate chip pancakes.

Friday, February 21, 2014

I gobbled up three pancakes and drank my milk with Merilax.  I get a teaspoon of it on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  It seems to be enough to keep me regular.
Grandma gave us some odd pieces of cardboard that we used to make car ramps on the floor.  We must have played with this set up for over an hour.  We had to take it apart when we finished playing because it was a hazard to walking.
This Thomas train is too big for Car Town but we ran it around the town a couple times just for fun.
GGM and I were hunting for bear.  I was Matt Dillon.  GGM was Festus.  Barbara was "Son" and she called me "Pa."
You will rarely find me doing this during the day.
GGM and I made some Snickerdoodle cookies.  I rolled the balls of dough in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.  Fortunately they only cook for 12 minutes so I didn't have to wait long to get to eat one.
Coach GGM is always willing to play soccer with me.
I am getting good at kicking the ball into our "chalk goal" drawn on the fence.
GGM is not afraid to get in there and steal the ball from me.  FYI: she is 84-years-old.
We do play with the real soccer ball some, but it is so heavy it hurts to kick it very much.  Our main objective is to have fun while using ball skills.
Here it is the end of the day, and I am waiting for Daddy to come pick me up.

FYI: It looks like GGM is the only person playing with me, but Barbara really does join in.  She has to stop playing to take pictures.

I slept until 8:15 this morning so we had to rush to get to school on time.  We had breakfast at the donut shop.  I was still talking about the goal I made last night at practice. I have watch the little video clip of my goal several times.

Mimz took me to school and picked me up.  We played until around 3:30 when we met Barbara and GGF at Neal's Restaurant because it would have been very busy at the school at that time with school letting out.

Mimz opened her car sun roof and I stuck my head out to watch the clouds while we waited for Barbara to arrive.  I was a big pill during that transfer... I don't know why.  As soon as I was in Barbara's car and we were driving home, I was back to my regular happy boy.

It had been raining at Barbara's home, but it had stopped by the time we got there and we played outside.
We started by digging in the flower beds, then Coach GGM came outside and we started out soccer practice.
We used cones just like we did at my real soccer practice.
Mimz told us to draw a goal on the wood fence, so we did that and we all made lots of goals.
I did a good job when I was the goalie.
I just can't help myself, if I have an opportunity to fall down.
We had a snack of peanut butter sandwich bites.  I ate it all, but I didn't sit down to eat.  I would run get a couple bites and run back to my soccer practice.
I am fascinated when I watch GGM put eye drops in GGF eyes.  I get as close as I possible can.
Well, we decided it was past time to take down my Valentine.  We talked about doing that same project for the next holiday... St. Patrick's Day.

Wednesday, February 19, 2014

Mimz and I treated Barbara to a bearclaw at the donut shop this morning.  I had my normal Kolachie and frosted donut.  It was fun having my two favorite caretakers taking care of me at the same time.  I am one lucky boy.  Back at Mimz home, I had time to brush my teeth before Mimz took me to school.

Miss Karen gave me a haircut after school.  I had her style it with the front standing up a bit.  It looked sylish.  It was a beautiful day, so after my haircut, Mimz and I went to the park to get some fresh air.  We discovered there were 25 (we counted them) other kids getting some fresh air also.

Back home, Mimz could tell I was tired because I let her read three books to me.

Mimz helped me get dressed for my soccer practice which was to start at 5:30pm.
I took a power nap while we drove.  We were driving right by Barbara's home, so we stopped to pick GGM and Barbara up so they could come to my practice also.  Daddy and Mommy came too.  At my first game and at this practice I had the largest cheering section.  GGF didn't come because he was working on a surprise project for me.
I was quiet and barely active for the first 15 minutes of practice, but after I scored a goal, I sort of "got the bug."  I am just not used to that kind of play, but give me a few more practices and I bet I will be more aggressive.
These three little clips show how I became more agressive as time passed.
I made a goal!   !!!!!
Running full blast at the end of practice.

Mimz, Daddy, Mommy and I went out to eat before Mimz took me home to spent the night with her.
