Halloween

 Daddy and Mimz took me to the neighborhood park for Halloween Trick or Treating.

 We went on a hayride.

 I got to meet the Deputy Sheriff.

 I was dressed as Captain America.  After we finished walking through the park, we went to Mimz' neighbors so I could Trick or Treat. 

I carried my fireman's coat and helmet onto the bus.  Today at 9am my entire school is having a favorite book character parade.

My favorite book is the Little Golden Book Bravest Of All.  This was my dad's favorite book also.  Mimz has read it to me many many many times.

Barbara and Mommy brought Anna Kate to my parade.  While they waited in the cafeteria for the parade to start Anna Kate walked around a little bit.  

She had on pajamas which Mommy said could be her costume.  She sure looked cute.

The Kindergartners were first in line. 

Alyssa's class was first. 

My class was next.  Barbara tried taking a video but she was watching AK and she messed it up.   Mommy managed to get a couple pictures of me. 

I saw them and I looked away.  Lately I have not been willing to get my picture taken.  We went back to my classroom to start our day of learning.

I got off the bus wearing my fireman's jacket and helmet.  I was willing to let Barbara take my picture with Mimz and Anna Kate.

I came home with a skeleton sticker on my Behavior page.  GGM, Mimz, and Barbara were excited but I said I thought it was just a Halloween sticker and I really had a green or yellow behavior.  I think they want to count it as a sticker meaning "off the chart" behavior.

I went home with Mimz.  I sort of gave her a bit of a problem about leaving with her.  I wanted to play with my friends, but she convinced me I could play with the girls and eat dinner with her and Daddy.





 

Today we all wore our Spirit shirt and a mustache.  My mustache fell off.  I gave it to my teacher.  She stamped my hand with a mustache.  Later I asked about my mustache and my teacher didn't know what she had done with it.

I played with Cole and Anthony in the backyard for a long time.

We played rough but no one got hurt and we had fun.

After a good nights sleep, I woke up ready to be a good boy.  My mom said I behaved perfectly this morning.

Today was "wear a tie to school" day.  I wore a great big tie.  (Picture needs to be taken).

Behavior = orange  = great day.

Mimz was waiting to meet my bus.  She let me play with my friends for a little while.  When it was time for us to leave, I decided I was not going.  I ran outside and down the street.  That action got me in big trouble. I have done this before to my mom and also to Barbara.  It is too dangerous for me to run off like that.  It took 15 minutes before I decided I better get in Mimz car.   I fell asleep on the drive home.

Mimz and I had a long talk when we got home and when Daddy got home I had a long talk with him.  I cried some tears. I apologized for running away.  I understood that there are consequences for my actions.  I did not get to play with the neighbor girls.  I knew to not even ask to play with the iPad.

I worked very hard on my homework.  One of my homework activities was to learn to tie my shoes.

I have been practicing and tonight I was successful at tying my shoes for the very first time.  I was so very proud of that.  So the day had a good ending.

Today was camouflage day at school. Mimz found a pair of camouflage pants for me to wear. Anthony had on a camo shirt. Jackson had a camo backpack. Everyone wore some camo. What fun.

Behavior = yellow = great day.

We ran a mile at school today.  My time was 12 minutes and 50 seconds.

I got off the bus ready to play with my friends. After awhile I got hungry for a snack. I wanted raisin bread but I ate the last two pieces this morning. Anthony and I each had a piece of string cheese. That was all I wanted.

 We tried to take a picture of Anna Kate with me but she would not cooperate.

When Mommy got home, we went over to Andy's. Mommy, Kristan, and I were going to the YWCA to a exercise class, but Andy was very late getting home. When Mommy told me it was too late for us to make the class, I got mad and threw a fit. Mommy and I went home. I cried all the way home.

I saw a pumpkin Mommy had made for her Halloween dinner at work. I said I wanted it. When I was told no and to leave it alone, I broke several of the skewers that were a part of it.  When asked why, I said I wanted to.

I spend the rest of the evening in my room, in my bed.  Barbara said she would read to me or do homework.  I said no, so there I laid until I fell asleep.

This is Red Ribbon Week at school.  It is to encourage us to be drug free.
Today we were to wear a red shirt.

I ate cheese pizza for lunch.  I'm looking forward to Thursday when we will have pancakes.
Behavior = orange =great job.

Anna Kate, GGF, GGM, and Barbara were all waiting for my bus.  Having people waiting for me makes me happy.

Barbara took Anna Kate and me over to Andy's.  We tried to figure out Andy's Play Station but we couldn't get it to work.  We did some homework.  I played with Baby Girl.  Barbara and I played catch with soft balls so Anna Kate wouldn't get hurt if she accidentally got hit.

 ...but Barbara said that was high enough.

Andy and Kristan both got home at 5:30pm, just in time for me to leave for baseball practice.  Barbara took me to practice.

She thought I did a much better job focusing on what was going on and following the coaches instructions than I did the first time she came to my practice.   She still doesn't think the coaches do a very good job showing us what is they want us to do.

We read Penguins before going to sleep.  I started itching my legs while Barbara was reading, so she put some anti-itch cream on my legs.  

I still had those big rashes on my legs this morning, including a third spot on the back of my leg.  Mommy took me over to Mimz' home so she and Daddy could take care of me today.  Mimz looked at the spots and she thinks it could be contact dermatitis.   We will keep watching the areas.

Mimz told me how pleased she was with my report card.  I asked her if she wanted to buy me a toy because I did such a good job.  She said no, because going to school and doing the best I can is my job.  Just like Mommy and Daddy go to work everyday , my job right now is to go to school and be a good learner.  I was okay with that.

Mid morning, I was tired.  I asked Mimz if I could lay on her bed and watch a show on her iPad.

It was rainy all day, so Mimz and I went to see the movie Hotel Transylvania 2.  After we ate lunch I went over to my dad's home for Daddy Time.  I took my dry erase board so we could practice on my sight words.  

After Mom picked me up from Mimz, I played with Anthony and Alyssa at their home some and at my house some.  It was rainy all the time we played and we all put on hoodies because it was chilly.

I helped Alyssa zip up her jacket.

I still have the rash on my legs but it does look smaller and lighter.

Barbara and I started studying my new sight words and we also looked at the list of words she made up that I mostly already know.   Mostly they are names of my family and friends.

We were going to read, but before we got started I was falling asleep.  I was asleep before 8pm.

I spend the entire day playing with Anthony and Alyssa either at their home or at my home.  It was dark and rainy all day.  We played with Poke-e-Mon cards some of the time.  We made a bis mess with my outside toys in the garage.  We had to clean it all up or GGF would have been upset with us.

 I developed a rash on both of my legs.

 I don't know what caused it. Well, I was scratching them through my jeans, but what caused me to scratch we don't know.  We will watch it.

Mommy and I went over to Andy's so he could drill some holes in a fake pumpkin that Mommy and I are working on for her to take to work with her fruit kabobs on skewers sticking out of the holes.

I forgot to write today.

I brought home my report card.

I did a great job my first nine weeks of Kindergarten.  My parents and family are super proud of me.

 Oh No!  They finally caught up with my Mimz!  lol.  Today was Coffee with a Cop day at Mimz' hospital.  The new Sheriff Ron Hickman put handcuffs on Mimz because she knows I love law enforcement and would enjoy seeing her in cuffs!

 Mimz got me a new safety coloring book, pencils and a badge.   This is my old coloring book, from when I was three years old, which Barbara and I have easily read 30 plus times.

When we saw Mr. Hickman's picture, it rang a bell.  We found my old coloring book, and sure enough, there was his picture.  He was a Constable then.

Tonight from 6 to 8pm was my school Halloween party.  I took a sack of candy to school a couple of weeks ago for my contribution.  Barbara and GGF went at 6pm so they could get a parking spot close to the school.  The event was held in the gym and by the time Mommy and I arrived the gym was full of kids in all kinds of costumes and parents.  We stayed with Anthony and Alyssa and their dad.

Here I am with my teacher, Mrs. Meridith. It was pretty loud and crowded in the gym, so after getting a few pieces of candy, we went to the playground to play.  We didn't want to stand in long lines to play little games and then get a piece of candy.  Barbara and GGF stayed an hour, we stayed until 8pm.

Mommy drove me to school.  I always like when she does that.

I read Hurry Up, Henry to my class today.  I did not add extra words like I have been doing, so I did a good job.

Behavior =  I don't remember but it was good, not bad.

Mimz, GGF, and Barbara were waiting for me at the bus stop.  I had a few minutes to play with Poke-e-mon cards with my friends while Mimz looked at my school papers and visited with GGM and Anna Kate.

Mimz and I stopped at a store.  I was a good boy and she bought me some cards.

I played with her neighbor girls.  I always enjoy them.

I did a great job on reading my new sight words and on my homework..   I was sleepy by 8:30 and after a bedtime glass of milk, Mimz read to me.

A fun memory:  These are my first flash cards.  When I was three years old, GGM cut pieces of felt into letter shapes.  I still have these little cards and of course I can easily read these words.

I was asleep soon after lights out.

Today was the closing on our house.  We think a single lady bought it. 

Behavior = Green  = where we start at the beginning of the day;  I had no "clip up" or "clip down."

I came off the bus expecting to see Mimz, but she is not feeling good.  I'm sorry about that.  I sure hope she is better tomorrow so I can spend tomorrow evening with her.

I played baseball with "the balls with lots of big holes in the" with Barbara.  This ball has a big chunk missing.  We kept waiting for it to break into little pieces.  GGM was our fan.  Barbara and I took turns batting and pitching.  We both can hit well.  I love running the bases.  Barbara can never tag me out.  I really need to practice with baseballs, but Barbara is afraid of getting hurt by a baseball.

Mommy and I went over to Andy's.  I stayed there while Mommy went to her old house to make sure it is all empty.  Then she came back to get me.

 Well, look at my baby cousin!  She can now open doors.  Uncle Andy is going to change out some door handles to door knobs.

 A couple of months ago she learned how to back off this hassock, sofas, beds, etc.   Well, now she has mastered climbing onto the hassock.  She climbed onto it and opened Barbara's iPad and turned it on.  She has not been told the pass code, so that was as far as she could get.  That little sweetheart! 

I had a good morning.  I dressed in the clothes Mommy had picked out for Picture Day without any complaints.

 Mommy ordered enough pictures so she can share with Daddy, Mimz, and Grandma.

Today was a busy day at school.  Besides picture day we had two of our special classes: art and P.E.  I made something in art class and we played on the playground in P.E.

I was supposed to read my "H" book but it was put off until Thursday.  My behavior was Red which is Outstanding!

I got off the bus and found out Barbara was taking AK and me back to AK's house because I can not play with my friends this week and Barbara thought it would be easier to control me at AK's house.  And it was.

We had a snack.  We played with my old House door toy.  I remembered all the fun parts to it. 

 I went outside to play on my old baby slide...

 I watched some of Finding Nemo with Barbara and AK.

I told Barbara there were scary parts to that movie.  AK is too young to be scared of any of it.  She is mesmerized by this entire movie.

We played catch around AK.  She kept trying to join our game.  She loved having me there.  I was very kind to her and helped Barbara take care of her.

We went home and I ate dinner, and talked in Mommy's room with her for a long time nicely.  Then I decided I wanted to play with friends.  I was told no.  I said, "No one tells me no"  And I ran down the stairs and outside.  Barbara came after me.  She talked to me and I would not come inside.  She said there are consequences for not doing as I was told.  I watched her tear a Poke-e-Mon card in half.  I said I didn't care.  She tore up several more.   She asked if I wanted the others.  I said yes.  When I came close to her to get them, she caught me by my arm and I ended upstairs in my room for the rest of the evening. (Barbara can't catch me when I run, but once she has a hold of me, I can't get away.)  Some backtalk results in some swats on my bottom.  I did not get to use any electronics all evening.  Mommy and Barbara would not play with me.  They would do homework or read with me, but that was all.

Well, then my normal self appeared.  I did homework, read my Hurry Up, Henry book perfectly.  I took a bath and brushed my teeth.  I even spent five minutes picking up my room, which was completely my own idea.  I had Barbara read Green Eggs and Ham to me before she turned out the light and I fell asleep before 9pm.  

Today = good start, bad ending.

Behavior at school = Red = Outstanding

Behavior at home = Black =  Not Good, Not Good At All.
I got off the bus happily and played happily until 5:15pm, when my mom came to tell me it was time to get dressed for baseball practice.  I said, no.  It got worse, I refused to come inside and I ran so Mommy could not catch me.  I told Barbara I didn't care I was not listening to anyone.  Mr Brad told me to get home and I said no.  Well, guess who didn't go to practice and who spend the rest of the evening in his room with no electronics with Barbara sitting right outside my bedroom door holding a paddle.  I could leave to go to the bathroom.  She brought my food to my room.  Later in the evening, Barbara did read to me and she helped me practice telling time on an analog clock.  We also practiced reading Hurry Up Henry four times.  Barbara doesn't think I do a very good job.  I have it memorized instead of actually trying to read the words.  I am getting better but tomorrow is the day I read it to my classmates.  I hope I do better than is expected.

I brushed my teeth before bed and did as I was told.  I was asleep by 8:45pm.  I don't get to play with my friends this entire school week. 

 

***We can't believe we were almost a month behind on adding pictures.  It was not fun trying to get caught up, so we hope we have learned a lesson and don't ever do that again.  We are caught up.  Today we added some pictures going back to October 6th.*****

My first baseball game this morning started at 8am.  Daddy took me.  Barbara brought GGF.  Mimz was out of town.  Grandma and Mommy were at a scrap-booking thing.

I only had one at bat and I stuck out.  I played a couple of innings at center field and one ball came my way.  I quickly threw it to the second baseman.  As Grandma would say the score was a bunch to a little.  The other team looked to be a lot bigger than the boys on my team.  Maybe they were older, but I don't know that.

My second game started at 11am.  Both of my parents were there as was Barbara and GGM.  The weather was perfect, cool instead of hot.  This game I had two at bats.  I stuck out once.

I had a hit to center field the second time.  I had a single.  Then I proceeded to successfully make it to second, then third, and finally I made it to home plate.  That was fun.   I played right field and the last inning I played the pitcher position.  Now the pitcher does not pitch the ball.  The coach does that.  I was there to cover that area of the field.  One ball came my way.  I didn't catch it but came close.  Another boy ran over, which he was not supposed to do, and grabbed the ball.  I don't know the exact score.  It was just like the last game.  We lost by several runs.

 Mommy and Daddy took me to get my hair cut by Miss Karen.

Now I am ready to have school pictures taken on Tuesday.

Harris County Precient 4 held a carnival at Burrough's Park this afternoon.

 We met Jon Jon there ....

 ....and we had lots of fun.

We got home around 5pm.  I ran over to play with Alyssa and Anthony.
