This was an exciting day. Mimz helped me get to school carrying my one pound of carrots for my school Halloween party. I knew my mom was going to come to my party to be one of the helping moms. When she got there I was shy but I got over that. I wouldn't let Miss Annette take a picture of Mommy and me. Miss Annette is making a scrapbook of pictures to give me at the end of the year and a picture of Mommy and me would have been a good one to have.
We played a Halloween game and then we sat down at our lunch table to eat our Halloween snack.
Mommy did snap a couple of pictures of me and my friend Brant. I didn't want Mommy to leave but I knew she had to go back to work.
Mommy's office was also having a party. Mommy brought witches broomsticks (pretzels and string cheese) and scary mouths (apple, peanut butter, and marshmallows.)
There was a pumpkin decorating contest which Mommy entered. The brain pumpkin on the left won the contest. Mommy's pumpkin is the tall one on the right.
These are the ladies Mommy works with in the documentation department. Mommy is at the very back in this picture.
Tomball had five inches of rain today but it quit raining before it was time to Trick or Treat.
I was Superman and I was happy about going Trick or Treating but...
I was very concerned that my red Superman boots would not completely cover my tennis shoes. I am always concerned when my clothes are not just right.
Here I am stalling about going into the church festival because my tennis shoes are showing.
This is what my cape looked like.
I went down this slide more than a dozen times.
I played in this bounce house for the rest of the hour. I knew the candy was in another room where there were games for kids to play. I was given a choice stay and bounce around or go get some candy. I didn't hesitate, I was staying in the bouncy house, so I went home with an empty sack, but I didn't care because I had a great time running and jumping with a bunch of other little kid super heroes.
The bouncy house was the best part of the day... so far. I only agreed to leave because I knew Carson was waiting for me to go Trick or Treating. I spent an hour at the church festival. This was my third Halloween to go there.
The first year I was a skeleton...
The next year a fireman. What I remember most about that Halloween was I got to wear a real fireman's helmet.
Barbara dropped us off at home and Daddy was there waiting to go around the neighborhood. We didn't find my Mason Monster Halloween sack until we got home from Trick or Treating, but I managed just fine with a brown paper bag. Mommy, Daddy, Jennifer, Carson, and I made a big circle around the neighborhood. At first I was shy, but by the end of the night, I was hollering "Trick or Treat" before I even got to the doors. Daddy said I got plenty of candy so it was fine I didn't get any at the church. I knew I could not have any candy until I got home. This was a fun Halloween. I am already thinking about what character I will be next year.

Mommy delivered me to Mimz, who got me off to school. After school we went to Target and I was very well behaved. I don't know why I write that, since that is the norm for me. I guess because lately I have had moments of temper and the adults in my life are trying to find out how to teach me to control myself.
I was pretty quiet and asked to lie down on the sofa and watch Mike the Knight. It has been raining all day, maybe that is contributing to my mood. I asked Mimz for my monkey and I was asleep seconds after I had Monk Monk and my head was on the pillow.

It was a very routine day. School, then basketball practice, GGF came with Barbara to drive me home.
Finally I let Barbara tell me a story that did not have Fireman Stacy, a policeman, or a wicked old witch in it.
My Halloween Superman costume needed some elastic and Velcro so GGM and Barbara did that for me. It fits much better...
A repairman came to fix our stove. I started to be interested but when I couldn't get back behind the stove where the action was, I lot interest and ran off to get GGM to come upstairs to play cars with me.
GGM and I played with chalk and a bucket of sand on the driveway.
I can easily read my name.
I had to have a bath. Barbara watched me play in the bathtub for about an hour.
There was a large toy catalog in the mail. After my bath, I climbed into GGM chair and we devoured it together. I didn't have time to get dressed.
I watched three shows of Mike the Knight. And I ate a good dinner. And I didn't cough all day. I was happy to see Mommy when she came to pick me up.

I went most of the day without coughing. Late in the afternoon I coughed some, so I took another breathing treatment after Mommy got home.
The morning started with me being in Time Out two times. But after that I was a very good boy all day.
GGM, GGF, and Barbara all wanted to get flu shots, but there was a long line at WalGreens, so we decided to come back Wednesday morning at 8am. We were told that 8am was the best time. We all went to the grocery store to get a few things, including a bag of candy for GGF to give out to neighborhood kids on Halloween. I asked for candy a couple of times during the day, but I didn't get any. Barbara tries to keep from giving me sugar treats when possible.
When we are playing pretend anything I enjoy acting like I am hurt. It is very very dramatic. And when Barbara is the one hurt I am so very concerned and caring. My acting amuses Barbara.

I took my breathing treatment last night and the one this morning well. Some days I am just the best little boy there ever was. Really most days I am the bst little boy there ever was.
Mommy took me over to Barbara's home to meet Susan and Mike Aston, my first cousin twice removed and her husband. They have been on a year long mission in Alabama for their church and were driving home to Phoenix Arizona, when they stopped to visit GGF and GGM, Barbara, and Grandma. I was not friendly and would not go upstairs to meet them. Too bad for me. I missed out on meeting two very nice relatives. They have eight grandchildren.

I didn't do well with the breathing treatment in the middle of the night, but all the others I did well. I am still not 100 percent well and am still not my lively self.
GGM wanted my help baking a cake for us to serve for lunch tomorrow. I was glad to help.
I understand that I can't get near hot things or knives, but I sure want to have my hands in every other part of the baking process.
Yummy!
We had one other job to do: spray paint three yard ornaments. I was not happy that I did not get to hold the can, but Barbara said the button would have been too hard for me to push.
I find it very soothing to drink milk and hold on to Monk Monk's hair.
I took a breathing treatment before Barbara and I played Fireman on her bed. I didn't want to lay down, but I needed to rest just a little bit while watching a new show, Mike The Knight.
Mommy took a couple hours of vacation so she picked me up early today. We went to Faith Bridge Church to their Fall Festival with my neighbor Carson and his mother, Jennifer. We all had a great time.
I tried the rock climbing but I was too short. Mainly I just swung in the air, but I liked it. They had a Bouncy Ball house and a big slide. I really liked the obstacle course race.
I rode a large tricycle twice around the course even though I could barely reach the pedals. They had a "Trunk or Treat" area. Ten cars were decorated in different themes like Superman and The Texans. I got some candy at each car. Inside the church we ate some popcorn and drank hot chocolate. And the had live music so Mommy and I danced and I really rocked. As we were leaving I got on the rock climbing wall again. I was still too little but had fun any way.

No school for me today!
Yesterday I was not my normal active self and I was coughing some. At 4am I really started coughing in my sleep. I did not have a fever. I woke up at 5 saying my throat hurt and I felt bad and I needed some medicine. That was the first time I have ever asked for medicine. Mimz gave me some medicine and I fell back to sleep.
I ate some toast so that was good. All morning I could not stop coughing so Mimz made an appointment for me to see Dr. Watson at 11am, since Dr. Lacour was busy. The adults all agreed I should stay with Mimz so we would not expose GGF and GGM to my sickness. Barbara came to the appointment to help Mimz if needed. When Mommy heard I was going to the doctor she took her lunch hour to come see what Dr. Watson had to say. I weighed 38.2 pounds (67 percentile). I did not have a fever.
I have bronchiolitis, which is not as bad as bronchitis. Both are viral in nature but I don't have an infection. I took a 12 minute breathing treatment. I slept through most of it. I was so tired from all that coughing. It was obvious I was not feeling good. The breathing treatment helped, so Dr. Watson suggested I take them at home also.
We forgot to take my traditional picture on the funny seat in the waiting room, and the room was full of people so we sat in the corner away from everyone in case I have something contagious. You can tell from this picture I was not feeling my normal rambunctious self.
A couple of times at the doctor's office I mentioned my tummy hurt. I said it again when we got home, so Mimz suggested I try to use the bathroom. We were on our way, and made it to the bathroom, when I threw up, but I didn't make it to to the toilet. Sorry, Mimz. I think that might have been the fourth time in my life that I threw up. (Not counting a bit of baby spit-up, but I didn't have much of that either.)
Barbara went to the pharmacy for the breathing machine and medicine and brought them to Mimz home so Mimz and I didn't have to wait in a pharmacy. Guess what.... after I got sick, I started to feel better. I was more active and talkative. I had talks with both Barbara and Mimz about how I needed to rest today, even though I was feeling better. I could not rough-house or play tackle football. Oh, Daddy is thinking my playing tackle football (while wearing a helmet) and rolling around on the ground, might be what caused me to start my getting sick. I tend to have a few allergies and such.
After a few hours at home, I started coughing again. I am to have breathing treatments every four hours for 24 hours and then every 6 hours for 24 hours. I could have more treatments after that if needed.
Around 2:30pm I ate some chicken noodle soup and crackers and it didn't bother my tummy. I stayed on the sofa all afternoon either watching TV or talking to Mimz.
---------------
I started coughing again around 3:20pm so I will get a breathing treatment soon.

Mimz had pancakes ready and waiting for me when Mommy dropped me off. After eating I brushed my teeth and went off to school.
Mimz could tell I was tired. After a small bout of temper, I apologized and fell asleep. Mimz was not playing football right, so I got mad. Mimz left me in the backyard crying and went inside to empty the dishwasher, saying she would not talk to me or play with me until I changed my tune and said sorry. I resisted at first then I did the right thing.
As it turns out I was lethargic the rest of the day and I was not hungry for dinner. Every time I sat on the sofa I would put my head down. Mimz sure hoped I was not getting sick.
When I got in bed, I told Mimz my head hurt. I did not have a fever. She gave me some Tylenol to help my head. I watched Halloween Dora, then it was lights out.

I had a good day at school and enjoyed basketball practice. I am not good at sharing what I learn in school. Well, some days I share, but often I am too busy with what we are doing now to dwell on the past.
We had the outside windows washed at Barbara's house this afternoon, so everyone was busy taking down screens (from the inside) and cleaning the bottoms of the window frames.
I was playing cars with Grandma when I heard Mr Brad. I told GGM I couldn't play cars any more, I had to go help Mr. Brad.
I spent the next two hours helping him dig holes and planting liriope grass and weeding and just enjoying visiting with him.
I sure was dirty when I went back home... dirty but happy.

Bubba (PaPa's father) was admitted to the hospital yesterday and he got to go home today. Hope he feels all better soon.
I spend the night with Mimz. I told her it was a beautiful day to be outside. I didn't want us to go anywhere so we just stayed home and played. Mimz will run errands after she gives me to Barbara around 2pm.
I am tall enough that I can reach most light switches. Now sometimes I can push the switch up but I am just not quite tall enough to reach to the switch to pull it down. More and more often I want to go potty by myself and now that I can turn on lights I can often manage all my myself. I am not a little kid any more!!!
We decided we needed to play outside while the weather is nice. It's not to hot and not too cold, it is just right. We had more batting practice, and I rode my scooter in our dead end street.
We were outside waiting for my mom to pick me up when we decided we could sweep the driveway, so GGM and I got to work.
We used to bring the flag in at 7pm, but it is dark by then, so now we bring it in around 6. Soon it will have to be 5. Barbara has an alarm set on her phone to remind us to bring in the flag.

The web site for P - 6 Farms is http://p-6farms.com/
Mommy drove me to Grandma's home so we could take her with us to a Corn Maze and Farm in Montgomery. We arrived around noon and we stayed a couple of hours. I had a blast!
There were two maizes, one took 45 minutes, and a little one that took 15 minutes. We did the small one.
Every time we came to a fork in the road, I decided which path to take. As it turns out there were two paths, one long and one short, that ended up at the same place. (The big maze might be different.)
We could use GPS on Mommy's iPad when we needed help navigating. In the maize there was a story book that we would read a couple of pages every so often. It was about a square pumpkin and how he saved the day.
I love this kind of play.
There were two big slide made from big big water pipes. One slide was fast, the other was faster.
I went down both by myself six or seven times. Mommy couldn't go down these because of her broken foot. There was also a slide made out of PVC pipe like the Train Festival we went to last year. I only did that slide one time.
The cost was $10.50 for regular adults, $8.50 for children and seniors, and there was a special for grandparents $5.50 (we think).
There was a large mound of dirt with a pole planted at the top. There were ropes tied to the pole with knots every so often on the rope. I could pull myself up the rope. This was my favorite activity of the day.
Repelling down was the most fun...
...and I was good at it...
Wish I had one of these at home!
I think I thought I was Rocky or Superman on the top of Tire Mountain.
I could manage the spider web also.
We went on a tractor pulled hay ride. The lady gave us a lecture about the farm. They grow all kinds of crops. People can come and pick their own big juicy blackberries and strawberries during the season.
There was a pumpkin patch for picture taking. I would not let them take my picture there.
There was a cute pile of hay bales painted like animals. We went to look at them and found out they hid the porta potties.
There was no waiting even though there were lots of people there. This was because there were lots and lots of activities. Some of the activities cost tickets (like a dollar apiece). The only extra cost we had was the big $2 Jumping Pillow, similar to the one at Bouncy Bears
There was lots of jumping and lots of falling. That was the last thing we did and I knew were were leaving as soon as I finished. After ten minutes I was still going strong, but Grandma said it was time to leave.
Papa called while we were there and he said he wants us to go back when he gets home.
Daddy and I went over to Mimz' home and Daddy fixed dinner and we ate outside. Then Daddy cleaned the kitchen before we went on a scooter ride. Mimz is still nursing her finger. I know I am to be careful around her so I don't hurt it. While on our scooter ride, we discovered that Skyler, a girl who goes to my school has moved onto my street. I think she is in Pre-K. I guess I am in Pre-Pre-K.
Daddy gave me a bath before he left and I watched Jake and the Neverland Pirates before bed.
Mommy's Halloween project.
Bridget and Chris' projects.
