I was the first child outside and I played with a basketball until the others arrived.
Behavior = Green = Where we start each morning. I have had green before, but not often and never lower than green. Green is the color we all start with every morning and if Mrs Meredith doesn't tell us to clip up or clip down we stay at that same color all day. Green isn't bad, it just means we didn't have really special behavior or really bad behavior.
I played with Anna Kate for a few minutes.
She really really likes me.
I played outside until 5pm. I had to quit then to wash up and eat dinner so I would be ready to go to Open House at school as soon as Mommy got home from school.
Mommy, Barbara, and I arrived a few minutes before the doors opened. We were the first ones to my classroom where we greeted Mrs. Meredith. We spoke to her and she told us what we were to do.
We first looked at the writing board. About half the class write pretty well and the other half write like I do.
We had five learning stations to visit so Mommy could see how we work. I knew how to to each station but I was very distracted by what other kids were doing and didn't keep my attention on my task. The station I did the best was the Journal station.
I choose three poems to read and I did a super job on all of them, partially because I had them almost memorized and because I know all of my sight words. Mommy wishes we had those poems so we could read them at home.
I also did a good job at the measuring station.
This is my class picture.
This is our behavior chart. The boy's clips are on the right. We start on Green each day. When I do something good, my teacher says, "Mason, clip up." I move my clothes pin up on color to Yellow. As I show good behavior, I keep clipping up. If at the end of the day I earn a sticker, that means my behavior was off the chart and my clip made it to the hanger at the very top.
We visited the library. I showed Mommy and Barbara were the "easy" books were and that is where I make my selections of which two books to check out each Thursday.
This is one of the posters we are to read and think about.
In the gym they had several stations for us to do exercises: sit up, push ups, jump rope, hula hoops, step up, run and jump, climb a rope, and a couple of others that I can't think of right now.
I played on the playground for ten minutes, then we came home to do homework and read.
