Before starting our field trip with Barbara, Mimz and I stopped at The Breakfast Place to eat.
Mimz had an omelet.
I had pancakes and scrambled eggs with hot sauce. Yummy!
We picked Barbara up around 10am and headed to Brenham, TX to visit the Blue Bell Creamery which is about an hour's drive.
Blue Bell Creamery information.
We had planned to answer some of the thought provoking
questions Barbara brought with her but I didn't participate because I
fell asleep before we got to Hwy 99.
I was perfectly comfortable with Mimz' scarf over my head.
We walked through the Visitor's Center looking at pictures that told the history of Blue Bell.
There were several places to take pictures of me.
And old piece of ice cream making equipment.
I was too tall to fit my head in this little hole.
We picked up ice cream maker paper hats for Knox, Cole, Alyssa, and me.
They have a small baseball museum honoring local baseball players.
On the Observation Deck (no pictures allowed) we watched the assembly line that produces their
ice cream products. They told us it takes milk from 50,000 cows every
day to produce what they make at this one factory. Most of the milk comes from cows within a 200 mile radius of the factory. Another interesting fact is the ice cream cartons on loaded onto trucks upside down because they are more stable stacked on the large lids instead of on the smaller bases.
Mimz went into their store to look for an ice cream scoop because she was needing one. We each had a large scoop of ice cream. I had Cotton Candy, Barbara and Mimz had Moo-linenium Crunch. And we each had a couple of samples of different ice creams. We spent about an hour and a half at this factory. On the drive home Barbara asked us some questions and we took turns answering them: who was your favorite teacher and why, what question would you like to ask God, do I wash between my toes. (haha). I said Mrs. Cat was my favorite because she was nice. I would ask God if Pops could come back and I sometimes wash between my toes. Then I got to play with my iPad.
I went home with Mimz and then Daddy took me to a baseball practice with John John, Brody, and a few other boys.
I forgot to write this: A couple of weeks ago, when I went to the doctor (and found out I had strep throat) and I weighed 55 pounds and I was 4'4" tall. That would be 55 pounds and 52 inches. That is almost one pound per inch.... interesting!
