Barbara's computer has not been able to connect to the Internet since January 17th.  Our computer repair person has been sick.  He is well now and he got her computer repaired today.  We have not been good about taking notes to write about the days we have missed.  We might go back and write what we can remember about this past three weeks.  We are going to start writing today.  ..... and we resolve to be better about putting pictures on promptly.  (Fingers crossed)

January 18   Mimz brought me home after I spent the night at her home.  I took my pills and ate a cold piece of fried chicken that GGM prepared yesterday.  I had time to go brush my teeth again.  Mimz, Barbara, and I went outside to wait for the bus.  I showed off riding my scooter.  I've been working on learning to jump the curb.

Jan. 18   Awards ceremony.

 My class went to Mrs. Wright's classroom so we could have one awards ceremony for the two classes.

 My only award was for perfect attendance.

 Jan 23, 2019     I fell on the street doing tricks with my scooter...

 Mimz was here so she played nurse.

Jan 25, 2019   We had a blast during our Color Fun Run.  We ran laps and raised money for something, I don't know what.

 Mrs. Flores is our substitute teacher until Mrs. Gardner comes back from pregnancy leave after Spring Break.

When we paused to walk I would find someone to visit with.  This time I visited with Sebastian.  He is on my swim team.  

Alyssa has had a growth spurt.  I bet I will start growing and be taller than her when we are a little older.

 I don't recall how many laps I ran but it was a bunch.

 Teachers sprayed us with dry paint when we ran past them.

 We were told to wear an old shirt in case it was ruined by the paint.  The paint fell off or washed out easily.

 I worked up a sweat.   It was really was a fun run.

Jan 28, 2019  This week is Kindness Week.
On Monday I wore slippers but we didn't get a picture taken before school and I wouldn't put them on after school so... no picture.

Jan 31, 2019  Today were were to wear a bow tie.  Mommy bought me one and I was pleased with it last night.  Today I wouldn't wear it.  No one understands why I often have an attitude problem.

Papa made a wooden stand for yard tool and brooms, etc.  It works great.

 I fell off my scooter.  Bloody knee.....

 And bumped my eyebrow on the street.  The red dot on my head was for a Kindness event in the lunch room today.   There were five different colored dots.  Instead of sitting with my classmates, I was to sit a the table for kids with red dots.  This was a way for us to make friends with other children.

 Feb. 1, 2019  Today was dress up day.

I wore the same suit I wore to my First Communion.

I was the only child at my bus stop that dressed up.

Feb 6, 2019   I had early dismissal to go to the doctor to see if I should keep taking my new medicine.  It's to help me focus and get a better attitude. 

 My progress report shows my grades have gone down.  

 Feb 7, 2019   I fell off m scooter and smashed my little finger.

 I tore up my little fingernail but I'm told it will heal and be as good as new  in a week or so.

 Feb. 8, 2019 We are going to learn to play the recorder in music class.  Mommy ordered me an orange one for $7.

Kindergarten, first and second grades have a decades dance which was loads of fun.  Third through five do rhythm activities.

 Barbara was my only adult that could come.   Somehow I have been lucky enough to get a spot close to the walls so pictures can be taken of me up close.

I enjoyed these stick activities.

I'm in the bottom picture, right side, red shirt.  We were to wear a Metzler shirt.  This years shirt is blue, but Mommy wanted me to wear my old red shirt so it would be easier to find me in the pictures.  Some kids don't wear Metzler shirts, which is okay.

Feb. 9, 2019 This evening was Andy and Kristan's baby shower.  I didn't want to go, so Mommy stayed home with me since Barbara was at Andy's babysitting AK and Bradley.

Feb 10, 2019   Happy 35th Birthday, Uncle Andy!  There was a party at Andy's house.  Bridget, Chris, and baby Catherine were there.  I had baseball games so I couldn't be there.

 We had two baseball games at a really nice facility at the farm league at 11am.  My team played well but we lost.  I had a nice hit that went to the right fielder.  I ran to first base and got there before the ball did.  I stole second base.   Then I stole third base and Jimmy, the coach, motioned me to go on to home.  Well, the catcher had the ball just a little bit before I got to home plate.  I was out.  The coach said it was his fault.

My second at bat was a walk.  I stole second base and the ref said I was out, but I heard from others that I really was safe.

I played both left and right fields.  No balls came my way.

Our coach was pleased with the effort we put forth.


At home I went to see if some kids could play, but didn't find anyone, so I came home and played Fortnight.  Daddy came and got my Fortnight game because the rule right now is that I can only play it on weekends.

I'm supposed to be asleep by 9, but it was 9:30pm before that happened.  

Feb. 11, 2019  I got up at 6:45am, which gave me just enough time to get ready, so Mommy could drive me to my Running Club at 7:15am in the school gym.  I ran 12 laps, which is the most I have ran during one running session. 

I had a page of math homework, that I am to do two word problems a day this week.  I did all eight problems!  I just wanted to.  I also did the entire back side of the math homework which was doing quick multiplication problems.  

I played football in the front yard with five other boys until it was too dark for us to see.  I came inside oh so dirty and smelly.  We washed my clothes immediately and I took a good shower.  

I read for at least 20 minutes.   I must practice my prefix and suffix words for the past four weeks because we are going to have a big test on Friday.

It was almost 10pm before I fell asleep.

Feb 12, 2019  I had laid out my clothes for school the night before, so I had extra time after eating breakfast and taking my pills to play at the bus stop.  I take a football to school every day to play with during recess.

Nothing interesting happened at school.

I was mad at Barbara because she gave me a consequence of not using her phone for the rest of the week, so to show her I didn't care, I didn't want a snack after school and I wouldn't study my prefixes and suffixes.  I went outside and played until 6:30pm.  I mostly played football with Julian, Xavier, Cole, Jay, and Brandon in my front yard.

By then I was hungry.  I ate two small bowls of spaghetti and two small bowls of cereal.  Mommy and I went to Michael's and then we went to bed.  She was asleep by 8:30pm and I was asleep soon after that. 


Feb 13, 2019  I brought home this list of my classmates so I could make a Valentine for each of them.

This evening I had baseball cage practice.   Coach Jimmy said this was one of our best practices.  I had a couple of good hits.

Feb 14, 2019   I took gift certificates and this little balloons to my two teachers for Valentines.  I took Valentine cards to each of my classmates.

 Feb. 16, 2019   Playing football with some of the neighborhood boys.  I got just as dirty today as I did a few days ago.


We had a big prefix and suffix test on Friday so I spent most of my homework time working on learning the meaning of 20 of those.  I really don't like studying and it shows on my grades.  When I try I can do well, but I don't want to try very often.

I didn't have my Play Station at home all week.  I think the current policy is that I can play on weekends only. 

During the week, I only want oatmeal for breakfast but on weekends I want a big breakfast.  I had three scrambled eggs with hot sauce and six pieces of bacon.  The bacon is the best!

I played on my Play Station for a couple of hours in the morning, then I saw Brandon and Matthew playing basketball with my basketball goal.  I'm worried that they are still not wanting to play with me because of my bad behavior recently.

Barbara had asked me if I would want to help her burn some financial papers and I thought now would be a good time, so we pulled the chimnea out of a flower bed and started a fire in it.  I enjoyed tossing crumbled paper into it and watching it burn.   By then there were two more boys playing basketball.  They did not speak to me.  I asked Barbara if I could offer them some lemonade.  She said yes so I asked Julian if he and the guys would like a drink.  They all said yes and then Matthew asked me if I wanted to play.  I was now a happy camper.   Before I ran off to play I stirred the ashes to make sure there were no burning embers that could flare up once we left the chimnea.  

There were either six or seven boys in my yard the rest of the day.  Barbara or Mommy kept coming out to check on us.  Barbara fixed us some popcorn.   We took a break so everyone could go home for a few minutes.  Brandon came inside with me and we each had a bowl of oatmeal.  He had apple cinnamon.  I had chocolate chip.

I asked Mommy if Matthew and Anthony could spend the night.  She said they could.  I'm so happy when I have boys sleep over.  We stayed in Mommy's room and mostly we watched videos on u-tube.
