Andy and Kristan's third baby was born today, Ash Wednesday, at 5:05am. His name is Lucas Michael Laplante. He was born in The Woodlands, just like Anna Kate and Bradley but at a different hospital. He was 21 inches long and weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces. Both mother and baby are doing well. I hope to get to see him on Saturday. (Didn't happen because we left for San Antonio this morning.)
First thing I heard when I woke up was that I had a new cousin! I'm glad he is a boy. One more cousin to play rough with... in a few years.
Grandma and Barbara were at Andy's home this morning to get Anna Kate and Bradley ready to go to Rodeo Day at their school.
Bradley was grumpy this morning, not wanting to wear his new jeans or new cowboy boots. Grandma and Barbara took them into their classrooms and the teachers and classmates were happy to hear about their new baby brother.
Andy picked Anna Kate and Bradley up from school and brought them to the hospital to see their mommy .....
... and to meet their new baby brother. They were both very pleased with him.
Anna Kate was a cowgirl at school this morning. After meeting her new brother at the hospital, she got dressed for her ballet class. Here is a picture of the little cowboy ballerina is leaving the hospital to go to her dance class.
Sandy, Kristan's mom took AK and Bradley to her home for a few days. Lucas and his mom will get to go home tomorrow.
Papa and Grandma have grandchildren is this order: a boy, a girl, a boy, a girl, and now a boy. I guess the next grandchild will be a girl if we keep up the same pattern.

MONDAY’S CHILD IS FAIR OF FACE --
Mother Goose Rhyme
Monday’s child is fair of face, (Mason and Bradley)
Tuesday’s child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s child is full of woe, (Anna Kate and Lucas)
Thursday’s child has far to go.
Friday’s child is loving and
giving, (Catherine)
Saturday’s child works hard for a
living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.
***************************************** School was normal for me except we had a substitute again today. Hope Mrs. Wright is back soon.
I found something funny on my phone....
... and I cracked up laughing.
I played with Julian and other kids until 5pm when Mimz came to to pick me up. She and I went to Ash Wednesday services before we went to my baseball practice.
