I woke up at 7am, asking if it was daytime and if I could get up. The answer was yes. I wanted to go downstairs, but there were no lights on, so GGM and GGF were still asleep. I got dressed and when the lights were turned on downstairs, I could go down to visit and eat breakfast. I woke up happy, but during breakfast I had quite an attitude. GGM told me she didn't like it, and in just a few moments, I changed my attitude. I knew if I didn't they would not play Cars with me before we left for school.
I was very excited about my TOT performance tonight. I told Barbara I was "going to do great... and if my ball got away from me I would just go get it and return back to my home."
We had a two week school holiday break. Before the break, without fail, I would ask Barbara to tell me a story on the trips to and from school. Since we have gone back to school I haven't asked for one and Barbara is not going to remind me. She is very very tired of stories about Stacy the Fireman, the witch, and Policeman Mason. And those are the people I want in the story.
A very very funny thing: Barbara and I were on the driveway "fencing" with my two soft swords. She had used the term "en garde" a couple of times. As I often do, I soon repeated them. I thrust out my sword and said, "I am God. I am God." Barbara had to ask me what I was saying, before she realized I meant to be saying, "En garde."
I helped GGF blow leaves in the yard and I blew off the patio all by myself with an electric blower. The gas blower is too heavy for me to use.
Soon after 5pm, Grandma and PaPa were coming to Barbara's house to take down our Christmas wreaths.
Barbara and I surprised Papa by having the six on the ground floor already down. PaPa took down the second floor wreaths and I helped locate and pick up the suction cups that fell to the ground. GGF, Barbara, and I put the twelves wreaths in big black bags and PaPa put them up in the attic. Another job well done. Mommy was waiting for me to finish my work so she could take me home and then on to my basketball performance.
Everyone arrived on time for the Klein Collins basketball game. Mommy, Daddy, Mimz, Grandma, PaPa, GGF, GGM, and Barbara were all there to watch me perform at half-time.
Mimz and me waiting for the game to start. I asked several times when it was going to be our turn to perform.
GGM, GGF, and I put our hands over our heart during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. Right after Barbara snapped this picture GGF remembered to take off his hat.
Mimz was one of the volunteer parents to help get all the kids out onto the floor and make sure everything worked. I'm guessing there were 60 kids age 3 to 5 on the court showing off the skills we have been working on. It was (sort of surprisingly) well orchestrated and went off without a hitch.
(Pictures will be added soon.)
During the basketball game, Barbara told me everything she knows about basketball. That took about three minutes. I should have had Grandma explain it to me. She played basketball in high school. She also played softball in high school and at OU.
The performance only lasted about 4 minutes. There are 10 short videos below if you would like to see the show. (Videos any longer than 30 seconds will rarely load onto this blog. That is the reason they are in short segments.)
Mommy, Daddy, Mimz, and I went out to eat dinner after the performance. I told Mimz I was ready to do that again. I went home with Mimz and she will take me to school in the morning.
I wanted to have some play time but Mimz told me it was past my bedtime and I was okay with that. I was asleep five minutes after my head hit the pillow.
