I kept everyone busy today... all day from 8am to 6pm.
As soon as Mommy took me inside Barbara's home, I was told that we were going to read a great story, well, we were going to start reading a great story: Charlotte's Web.
But the first thing we did was go check out our tomato plant. Soon we will be picking a tomato. After breakfast and brushing my teeth, GGM, Barbara, and I sat on the bed and started reading my first chapter book. Barbara has her fingers crossed that she can convince me to stay still and listen. She made it sound like I would enjoy it, so I agreed to give it some of my time.
I didn't sit still, I wallered all over the bed but I was listening and I did ask some questions. The only question I didn't get an answer to was how Fern's father would use the axe to kill the little runt pig.
After reading one chapter we stopped reading and went into my toy room to play with my kitchen. Barbara and I fixed GGF three meals before we moved on to the next activity which was fishing and then grilling the fish.
One time GGM and I caught the same fish!
Barbara played with Play Dough while GGM and I fished. She was cleaning up the Play Dough presses. Sometimes, a little Play dough sticks inside and they need to be cleaned out occasionally.
I brought my raincoat from home, so that if it rained, and it was not thundering and lightening, I could play in the rain. It did not rain today, but I will have the raincoat here for the next time it does.
In my toy room closet we found a old building kit that belonged to my mom and her siblings.
We took in into the big TV room and played for the longest time with it.
There were three different types of blocks, this one was my favorite.
I wanted a tower as tall as me.
GGM went downstairs to fix goulash for our lunch while
Barbara and I sat on her bed and read Chapter 2 of Charlotte's Web.
Grandma was here for lunch too. She dropped over the monthly ProLawn
invoices for GGM and Barbara to fold, insert, seal, and stamp before
they went into the mail. This job was done after I had gone home for
the evening.
We played Fireman saving babies from burning buildings.
After we tired of that we went into my craft room and played US Army vs Japanese Army for the rest of the day. Barbara was sick of that game after two hours. I was begging for us to keep playing, so very reluctantly we played this the rest of the afternoon.
Around 5:30 I agreed to sit on GGM bed and listen to Chapter 3 of Charlotte's Web. I don't just sit and listen, I roll, or jump, or hide, anything that keeps me moving. GGF called me a Wiggle Worm and we all laughed. I did ask GGM if I could get a piece of sugar-less gum our of her drawer. She lets me have one piece a day if I remember to ask for one.
