Mimz was still feeling pretty bad with a terrible cough, so Barbara and GGM took care of me today.  I went to school happily.  We have caterpillars at school that we will watch turn into butterflies.

We made a quick stop at Lowe's for GGF, then we hurried home to see if AK was awake.
She was and boy was she happy to see me.
I spent a good part of the afternoon playing with her.

She is so very close to crawling.  I think if we put an smartphone on a string and held it a couple of feet in front of her, she would have the motivation to take off crawling.  When she sees a phone, her only mission is to get to that phone.

Oh, Anna Kate was 8 months old today.

Mommy and I had a fun evening.  Her high school softball coach is retiring and tonight was his last home game, so many girls whom he had coached over the years came to the game, including four girls from my mom's team.   I loved watching and asked lots and lots of questions.  I said I want to go to more games, softball and baseball.  Barbara added that to my list of "Mason Summer Activities."

During the ceremony, they had all the former softball players go out onto the field, and I got to go there with my mom.  She couldn't and wouldn't leave me in the stands by myself.)  They did announce that Mommy's team was the Texas State Champions her senior year.

I had already had dinner at Barbara's, but I still ate nachos at the game.  I had a blast.  I talked with Amanda, a girl from Mommy's team a lot.  Yep, we need to do this again.
