Today is Bridget and Chris' wedding day.

I shared a room with Mommy and Bridget.  I was still asleep at 9am.  As soon as I woke up, I took  antibiotic meds to treat my strep throat.  I'm feeling so much better.  We spend the morning getting ready for the 2pm wedding.   The wedding party rode on a big black shuttle bus from the resort to the church and after the wedding we did the same thing in reverse.
Bridget and Chris had a beautiful wedding. Bridget was a beautiful bride and Chris was a handsome groom.
I did a super job walking Anna Kate down the aisle.  She was such a cute flower girl.  As soon as she walked down the aisle, she went outside the sanctuary with Gigi, her maternal grandmother.  She played with Barbara's iPad and many times she wanted to come back inside but she wasn't allowed in because she would talk or run around.  She is not old enough to understand she can't behave like that.  I, on the other hand, knew to behave.  I did a good job of trying to hold still, but I still moved around like any seven-year-old boy would.

We had a couple of hours between the wedding and the reception.  At 6pm we went to the "meet and greet" (I don't know what the real name for this period of time is.)  People mingled around talking to one another.  Anna Kate and I found a long empty ramp that we could run on and play on.

At 6:30pm the doors to the ballroom were opened and we found out tables.  I was sitting at the head table with Bridget, Chris, and the wedding party.

After everyone found there seat, the wedding party made their way into the ballroom, and then Bridget and Chris made a grand entrance.  They danced their first dance together as husband and wife.  Then Papa made a speech.  Then Papa and Bridget danced.

Then we ate.  I had chicken tenders and tater tots, mac and cheese, and broccoli.  I ate all of my dinner except for the salad.  Anna Kate had the same dinner.  She sat on Barbara's lap while she ate.  Barbara had a large napkin covering AK's dress and was doing her best to keep ketchup off of the dress.  The dress didn't get a drop of food on it!

I don't remember the order of events, but my mom made the maid of honor speech and Matt Evans made the best man speech.  They both did a good job and got several laughs.

I think there might have been six children there:  Two were babies and two toddlers younger than Anna Kate.  I was the only older child.

We ate wedding cake and visited and danced.  I took off my tux jacket and shoes.  I was free to run around and enjoy myself.  I always returned to Mommy or Barbara after being gone for a few minutes then I'd run off again, always staying in the ballroom.

Barbara took a few pictures but not many.  She was either helping AK with her dinner or hold Bradley and the room was pretty dark so the lighting was not good for her iPhone picture taking.

Before everyone was finished eating, Anna Kate was out on the dance floor.  She was out there about 15 minutes before anyone else joined her.  I sort of went out there, but I was a little embarrassed so mostly I stood around the edge of the dance floor and watched AK.   Then other people went out and I was on the dance floor but I didn't really dance much.   Since I wasn't going to dance, Barbara and GGM left before 9pm.  When there were a lot of people dancing, then I was out there joining in the fun.

I don't know what time I went to bed, but I did take my antibiotic meds before bed.
