Because of Hurricane Harvey the school is giving all children free breakfasts and lunches the month of September, so I chose to wait and eat breakfast at school. Barbara and I played catch with a wiffle ball until the other children all showed up.
I had a waffle and milk for breakfast at school. Today was First Responders Appreciation Day. The classes all went to the cafeteria where lots of policeman and other first responders were eating breakfast. I saw Mr. Mark (Anthony and Alyssa's dad) He gave me a high five. He was a policeman on site at the bombing in NYC on 9-11. One day I hope he can tell us his story of that day.
We ran a mile today. I ran my fasted mile ever! I ran the fastest in my class.
I played until 7:15 with my friends. Mostly we played football in my front yard.
I was in bed at 8pm but I was too tired to read. I just wanted to go to sleep. Barbara read to me for 20 minutes. Then it was lights out and I fell asleep before 8:45pm.
We made a new rule. I must read for 20 minutes as soon as I get home from school, since I have said I am too sleepy to read right before bedtime.
