First thing I said this morning was: "My man suit is at the dry cleaners."
I was a busy boy all day. I wanted to go, go, go. I wanted to help fix scrambled eggs, sausage, and raisin toast. I stirred the eggs, I put three sausage patties on a plate to be microwaved, and I held a frozen slice of bread until Barbara got the toaster plugged into the outlet. I also scooped out a knife full of butter and helped spread it onto the hot toast, and I then enjoyed the fruits of our labor.
I chose which shirt, big boy underwear, jeans, and socks I would wear. Of course, I chose to wear my black boots. This shirt is so very comfortable. I have worn it for three or four days, but it has been washed a couple of times. The chest fits me perfectly but the sleeves have to be rolled up three times.
My favorite thing to do with Play Dough is to use the scissors. Today I held the scissors in my left hand and I did a good job of cutting. I normally use my right hand. While I cut, Barbara fashions things out of Play Dough and I then tear them up.
We sat on her bed and read four books. I always want books about fireman or vehicles, but Barbara tries to sneak in a story that has a moral. We discuss every page and sometimes I want to talk and sometimes I just want to keep reading.
I played fireman in the bathtub with my pirate ship for a long long time. After a time we had to add some hot water to the tub to keep me from getting cold. When PaPa arrived he found me wrapped in a towel naked. We hurried to get me dressed so I could help PaPa work.
PaPa came over to see what was wrong with our living room television. It worked for awhile, then the screen went black, so it does have a problem.
I changed shirts four times today, just call me "fashionista."
We ate the last of the leftovers: spaghetti, pork chops and corn.
I wanted to play outside, so I did, but not for long. I got cold quickly.
A funny thing: Barbara left her phone in the toy room where I was playing. The phone rang and I answered it. It was Mimz. We had a conversation. Barbara had gone downstairs to get some clothes out of the dryer. She was folding them and she could here me talking and thought I was having a pretend conversation. Then I must have hit the speaker button because she could here someone else talking to me. She hurried upstairs to find out what was going on. Neither she nor Mimz were surprised that I knew how to answer the phone but we think that might have been the first time I had actually done it on my own.
Another funny thing: I see Luke's toys left outside and that really bothers me. I have to bring my toys into the garage when I finish playing and I don't understand why Luke just leaves his precious toys outside.
Barbara is a stickler about me putting things back where they belong. When I am finished with my flashlight, she wants me to put it back in its home. She has explained why that is important: so next time I need it I will know right where it is. She said that about my shoes, my medicine, the scissors, and everything. I understand the principle.
Tonight was an important football bowl game. We had a half can of Pringles that were to be our snacks. I think the plan was to keep me quiet by slowly dolling the chips out one or two at a time.
I fell asleep around 8:30pm. OU lost by a bunch. Texas A&M played like national champions. Their freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel is the only freshman to win the Heisman Trophy and showed tonight that he deserved that award. Their entire team played great.
