My mom was sick during the night, chills, aches, headache, and maybe a touch of a fever so she did not go to work this morning.
Barbara came to get me and take me to my first 30-minute swim lesson at Fins at 10am. There are two other children in my class. Issac with be five in January and the girl is probably 9 or 10 years old. Our teachers name is Miss Megan.
First she had us hold our breath under water without blowing bubbles. I held it to the slow count of 14. Then she asked for a 3 second streamline float on our tummy. That means arms straight over our head covering our ears, hands together. I could do that easily. I really need to work on my kicking with straight legs. I bend at my knees. And I need to learn to use straight arms not slapping at the water with bent arms. But I did well. Barbara noticed I was talking to the teacher, which I did with Miss Sherry also. The only thing Barbara didn't like was that she could not hear what the teacher was saying, so she could pass on what I need to work on or what I am doing right, etc. And I was not willing to share that information.
We got to Barbara home in time to eat before Kristan brought Anna Kate to us. Kristan is having to move to a new classroom, and she could not get finished on Friday, so she went back today. As it turns out, Andy got off work and went to help her, so she finished in just a couple of hours and came back to get AK around 2pm.
AK and I cuddled while she drank her bottle.
I spend two hours playing with AK on the living room floor. Since the floor is finished she can now crawl everywhere and she loves to explore.
We had just changed her diaper and put her on the floor....
It was up to her to make her way to the living room...
;;;where we were waiting to play with her. We stay alert and watch where she is going and haul her back to her mats when necessary. She does have a temper and arches her back and screams when she doesn't get what she wants. Temper, temper. We try not to laugh, but it sure is amusing.
I was tired before AK left, so Barbara and I went upstairs and laid on her bed. She was going to read more from the book Fing, but I decided I was hungry so we went back downstairs to eat. We saw GGF was watching Gunsmoke. We watched for a bit, then we went upstairs and I watched it from Barbara's bed.
In just a few minutes I was asleep. I slept at least two hours.
Mommy called to say she was feeling oh so much better. I was ready to go home. I cried twice today that I wanted to go home to my mommy, something I don't do often. I got home around 6pm and was glad to find Mommy up moving around and feeling good.
