The first couple days I lived at Barbara's house I was a bit of a pill, no... a real pill. But the last several days I have been a pretty good boy, doing what I am told to do.... most of the time.
I had a swim lesson today. I am getting better about remembering to
lift my left arm out of the water when doing the American Crawl. I am a
good floater.
GGF came to watch me during my lesson.
On the drive home, I asked Barbara if we could make brownies as soon as we got home. She said yes. Well, we didn't have to... I smelled brownies as soon as I opened the door. GGM made them. She also made homemade chicken and noodles.
After my lesson I insisted on wearing my baseball shoes and long pants. No body understand this since it is 95 degrees outside.
We are babysitting Anna Kate today and I was watching the clock waiting for her arrival. She was asleep when she got here, but she woke up soon. She so likes to play with me.
I am gentle with her. Sometimes I need to be reminded to take it easy, but I have never hurt her with my high energy.
While AK took a nap, Barbara and I played catch with a hard ball. She mostly threw pop-up flies to me and I did a good job of catching them. I really need to work on my throwing. I will have to do this with Daddy, Mommy, and PaPa. Barbara is scared of a hard hit hardball but she does try. And it is 95 degrees outside.
We also went down to George's to shoot a few baskets. He was not home, but he had lowered the goal as low as it would go, so I could play. I sure need m own goal. Barbara plans to bring it up to my grandparents as soon as all this moving business settles down a bit.
Around 2pm AK went down for a nap. And GGM, Barbara, and I did too. After my swim lesson I insisted on putting on my baseball pants and socks. I wore them yesterday to try outs and feel good wearing them. (100 degrees outside)
The coach from the team I tried out for, called Mommy. He wants to see me again, so Wednesday evening I go try out again. I am behind on some of the skills, but he likes my attitude and willingness to play.
Mommy and I went to Kohl's and bought me tennis shoes and Vans for school, and a pair of sandals. I wear a size 13 now. I'm a growing boy!
Mommy and I went to McDonald's, so I could play on the playground. It was just too hot to play outside. We went over to my old house, to see the neighbors. I played with Debra's grandchildren and Jon Jon. Mommy and I played catch. She is not scared of a hardball, like Barbara is.
It was 9pm when we got home from my old neighborhood. Debra promised to make sure we are invited to the neighborhood parties. I was too wound-up to go to sleep, so I hung out with Barbara for thirty minutes before I said I was ready to sleep.
Mimz and her friends ha a clear day to view Mt. McKinley, which is the tallest mountain peak in North America. She said it was gorgeous.
