Whee!  Another busy busy day... non-stop fun!

At my swim lesson I did better.  I am concentrating on getting my left arm out of the water.

When we drove into the driveway, I wanted to go join George on his driveway to shoot a few baskets, but first I had to go inside.  I wanted to see if I could smell muffins.  GGM said she might bake some muffins while we were gone.  I didn't smell anything... she said she decided to wait until I got home to help her.  I ran down the street to play with George.  I probably only played for ten minutes before George had to leave.  He did leave the goal at 7 1/2 feet so I could come back and play later in the day.

GGM and Barbara were making a rice pilaf because Grandma was coming over and that is her favorite.  They also made some muffins.  I did not help.
I laid down on the sofa to watch Paw Patrol.  I fell asleep.  After two hours Barbara woke me up.  First thing I asked was, "Is AK here?"  The answer was yes, so I jumped up to join her in GGM's bedroom.  She plays in there on her mats.  We have to keep the doors closed or she would escape.   We played and I came up with a way to make her laugh out loud.

Oh, a neat thing:  Barbara did not record Paw Patrol any more but I wanted her to, so yesterday she added it to her list of shows to record.  Today while scrolling through the recorded show hunting for Emergency, I hollered out, "Paw Patrol!"    I really could read it.  I have seen it many times on Mimz list or recorded shows.

Grandma was here to babysit AK so Andy and Kristan could go to the closing of their new house.  They ran into a problem, but hopefully tomorrow it will all work out.

After AK left, I went out to help Brad work in his yard.  Boy, it was hard hot work, but it was necessary for me to help him, if I wanted his to finish his yard work so we could go on a bike ride.  Maddie (Brad's mother's caretakers, daughter who is visiting for the summer) rode Barbara's adult trike.  She said it was hard work riding that bike but so much fun to get out and ride with us.
I took Maddie down to George's home.  She joined us playing basketball with another of George's friends.    From a window Barbara and my great grand parents can see me playing at George's.  Barbara saw this happen:  I was blocking Brant.  I got the ball from him, dribbled a couple of times, ran around Maddie and made a shot.... I scored.  They were all pleased for me.
George and me ready to throw a football.
Brad, Maddie, and I went on a second bike ride. Maddie and I went back down to George's to play more basketball.   I was having such a great day.

It was almost dark when I came home.  I took a quick bath, brushed my teeth, put on my elf pj's and went downstairs to help Barbara make some Jiffy corn muffins.  Oh, I so enjoy those muffins.

I needed to get to bed so I could wake up very early so start another great day.  I want to make the most of every day left in my summer.
Grandma had a scare tonight.  She stepped outside and heard a noise which she decided was a sprinkler.  She was wrong... just a foot away was a large water moccasin!  She wasted no time getting back inside and hollering for Greg to take care of it.  He said it serves a purpose so just let it be.  It would crawl away.  Grandma was really shaken up.   Those floor tiles are 16 inch tiles... that helps you to see how large it was.  Yikes!
