Mimz and I watched a documentary on Michael Phelps, the Olympian who has won the most Olympic medals.

Mimz took me to Iron Sports.  I enjoy everything we do there.  It is non-stop moving except the few minutes that Daniel has us sit down and talk about something.  He asks us questions and we raise our hand if we have something to say.  He makes us think about how to have better lives.  Mimz said I really did well at warm-up.   We talked about how Ninjas have to work through the pain and never quit.  Mimz bought me a Ninja Warrior Iron Sports shirt today.  I really want to do this next summer.  That is not a surprise to anyone!

There is going to be a Mini Ninja Warrior competition August 27th and 28th.  I really want to do it, so Mimz asked my parents and they said that would be fine.   The winner gets a trophy.   Barbara tried explaining to me that every child hopes to be the winner, but only one will be.  So if I am not the winner, I will have fun anyway and enjoy the experience.
Mimz and I went to her neighborhood pool.  I have no problem scaling the rock wall.
I sailed down the big slide.
I found a group of eight kids to play with.  All of them are older and better swimmers but I really worked to keep up with them.  I have fun wherever I go.   We played a game called Sharks and Minnows.  I was It one time and I managed to swim and tag two boys.  We stayed at the pool longer than we planned to because I was having such a good time.

We met Barbara at Sprouts.   I so wanted to go go Chick-fil-a to play on the playground.  Very soon school starts and we will have Anna Kate every day, so Barbara and I decided this would be one of our last opportunites to have this kind of fun, so we stopped there for lunch.
There were five children playing.  I was the oldest so I ruled the roost.  They all followed me around like I was the mother hen.

Barbara and I have been wanting to see Grandma play Pickle-ball.  We decided we could watch her play at 8am on Friday.   We would have to get up very early if we drove up to the lake in the morning, so we decided to drive there tonight.  I wanted to wait until my mom got home so I could spend a little time with her.

Barbara gathered up the few things we would need for the night while I played with my neighbor friends.  When Mommy got home from work, we talked with her for fifteen minutes then we started our 50 minute drive to the lake.  I read Go Dog Go while Barbara drove.  I read every word except "that."

We passed Grandma when we were about half way to her house.  She was going to play pokeno at a Mexican Restaurant.  We waved at each other.  We have a key to her house so we made ourselves at home.  I ran over to Maddox' home and brought him back with me.
We played in Papa's pool for about an hour.  We had timed races and Ninja races.  Barbara used her phone stopwatch to keep track.

After we changed clothes we got into the toy cabinet to find toy soliders. About 8pm we walked across the street to tell his parents we were playing nicely and how much longer could Maddox stay to play with me.  They said until 9pm.
We played on our iPads while we waited for Michael Phelps to swim to win another gold medal.

When the timer went off, we knew it was time for us to walk Maddox home.  While we were walking, his mother and baby brother came out of their house too.  I hoped I could play with Maddox tomorrow.
I was just about to go to sleep at 9:30pm when Grandma got home.   Then I was wide awake.  She downloaded a game onto Barbara's iPad for me.  By 10pm we turned out the lights and called it a night.

There was to be a big meteor shower during the night.  Barbara sat an alarm to go check it out.  The sky was covered in clouds so she didn't wake any one up.  It would have been nice a dark at the lake if we could have seen anything.
