This is Friendship Adventure week at school.  Today I was supposed to wear a Hawaiian shirt but I didn't have one.  That's okay.  I have everything to wear the right thing the rest of the week.

Today was a big day for Anna Kate.  She had her first day of school: Mother's Day Out at a nearby church.  Kristan and AK drove in one car.  Daddy followed in his truck.  And Barbara followed him.  How funny: A caravan just to take one small girl to school.

Of course AK cried  (and so did Kristan) but before Kristan and Andy had all of the paper work filled out AK was sitting at a table with another little girl and she was not crying.  Kristan had stopped crying also.  Andy wanted to see my school and give Kristan support.  Barbara went so she would know where to take Anna Kate every Monday and Wednesday.   Her class is from 9am to 2pm and she is a napper.

She cried for maybe ten minutes and no more after that.  She played well and the six other children all tried to make AK happy.  Her teachers said she did great.  She even took a long nap.

At 1:45pm Barbara was at AK's school to pick her up.  AK was asleep and when she saw Barbara she started crying.  As soon as Barbara picked her up she was fine.  I guess she was crying to say "You guys left me with people I don't know!"

Today was special because six of my classmates and I got to eat lunch with Mrs. Cat in our classroom.  We were chosen to do this because we had no bad behavior marks during these first four weeks of school.  I enjoyed that lunch with my teacher.

I jumped off the bus and for the first time in a long time, I came inside wanting a snack.  I wanted a sugar free popcicle because it was so very hot outside.  It was 97 degrees but felt like 108 degrees with the heat index.
GGM was playing Bookworm on her computer.  She made the word Mason.

I played with my friends.  At one time there were seven of us kids playing together.  Alyssa and I came inside my house to play.  I can bring either Alyssa or Anthony inside to play.  Two of us can play quietly but any more than two and we get pretty loud.  GGF doesn't like the racket we made.

Alyssa went home at 7pm and I started my bedtime routine.  You know: homework and reading, snack, brushing my teeth, shower, and a little iPad.  At 8:31pm, I said, "Oh, it's bedtime."  I did get in bed, but it was 9pm before I finally fell asleep.  (Oh, I get a sticker for noticing the time and willingly going to bed.)   I also said, "I wanted to read more.  That was fun."  Talk about making someone happy, that really made Barbara happy.  But I had to get ready for bed so I didn't get to read any more tonight.  (I earned a sticker for that comment also.)
