We were to wear Grinch green to school today.  I don't know what Grinch green color is but whatever it is, I'm wearing a Christmas green shirt I have.   It has short sleeves so I wore put a long-sleeved white shirt under it.  I wore SHORTS to school.  Mommy and Barbara have given up on getting me to wear long pants.

While eating breakfast we were talking about Christmas songs.  Barbara started singing Here Comes Santa Claus.  I said, "I don't know if Santa Claus is real.   If it's Mom and Dad, how do they afford all those gifts?"   I have been listening to older kids.

I've been taking my old yearbook to school.  We all like looking at last years pictures.  It's interesting to notice how many children are no longer at my school.  And I have noticed that many children look older now than they did a year ago.

We had stations today and I played Texas Stride.  My class rank keeps moving right up there.  A week ago I was in 53rd place in the entire second grade.  Now I am in about 24th place.  I had been playing an Add, Subtract game and was earning about 1200 star points, but today I discovered that a very easy quick game of Basketball earns me 4000 to 9000 start points!  There is something really wrong with that, but I'll keep right on playing basketball and racking up those star points and moving up in rank until the fix that.

I played football at Austin's until 5:30pm, then Mommy took me to an extra baseball pitching practice.  It only lasted 30 minutes, so I was home in plenty of time to play Texas Stride before I had to get ready for bed.

We found two small cakes in the garage that Daddy brought over to us.  Mimz bought them in a fund raiser and she wanted to share with us.  Barbara and I ate the chocolate cake... Barbara ate most of it.  We saved the second cake to share with GGM tomorrow.  Thank you, Mimz.
For 25 years Papa and Grandma have put wreaths in the windows every Christmas.  They have also put a candle in each window.  Today they finished putting lights on the bushes and around the flower beds.  They just need to add one more strand of colored lights on the bushes to the right of the front door then we will be finished.   In the house we only have three small trees made by GGM with a little help from Barbara.  They are very festive.  We will have room for a real tree next Christmas.
