I woke up at Alyssa's at 10am. I never sleep that late and we didn't stay awake that late.
We had a bunch of kids playing around here all day playing all kinds of things. Mommy called me in at 3:45pm to get cleaned up so we could go to the neighborhood chili cook-off. We took Alyssa and Cole with us. Around 5pm Barbara was getting into her car to come to the chili cook-off, when she noticed my bike and ramp were not put away. Then she noticed more toys that she put away: two footballs, a basketball, a tennis ball, 3 whiffle balls, a bat, five floor mats that we were using as baseball bases, and three guns!!!!!
Normally I never leave my toys outside. I know better.
At the cook-off there was a band of three men and the teenage girls were line-dancing.
There was a large castle bouncy house that boys my age jumped in. Alyssa and the little kids played in the clubhouse. Nine people brought chili and I sampled each one of them. Mommy thought she would have to help me, but I went right up there, got a cup filled, added condiments and chowed down. A couple of times, I gave my cup to my mom and she finished it for me, while I went to try another chili.
Mommy, Barbara, and I agreed that Miss Maribel's chili was the best. Actually she gave credit to her husband, Dave.
The adults all sat around the chili tents and chatted. We came home around 8pm. I ate too much but had a good time anyway.
We read on Facebook this morning that Miss Maribel did win the chili cook-off. We thought she should.
I was asleep around 9pm.
