Happy 240th birthday to the Good Old U.S.A.
We spent the day at the lake.  We swam and played some Minute To Win It games.

We got home from the lake around 4pm.  The first thing I did was round up my friends, Alyssa and Anthony.  Next thing, I went to find Barbara.  She woke up from a nap when we came into her room.  We were hungry, so she fixed us some Ramen noodles.  Then we hurried outside to ride bikes until time for us to go to the 4th of July event being held at the clubhouse.  All we could talk about was fireworks!
We arrived at the club house at 7:30pm.  That is the time given for kids to play three games.  We made up three teams of 5 or 6 children.  The first game was a sack race.  My team game in last.  We had a little bitty girl on our team and she couldn't do it, but that was okay.  We had fun.  I did a good job and at the last second I fell down... on purpose of course.  I fall every opportunity I get.

The next game involved water guns and a balloon.  Again, my team had fun, but lost.
The third game was King of the Mountain.  The winners were always the biggest kids.  The only person I beat was Alyssa.  All the bigger boys beat me.  We stood on a balance beam and tried to knock each other off with a bag filled with something soft.

There was lots of food.  Hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches and bar-be-qued roast beef.  And plenty of desserts.  My favorite things was an Orange Fresca or something like that.

The fireworks were amazing.  The started at 9:05pm and lasted about 25 minutes.  They were huge, colorful, and loud.   We sat with Alyssa's family, the adults in chairs and us kids on a blanket.  We were home by 10pm and shot off a few roman candles and did some sparklers and smoke bombs.  Barbara watched for a few minutes, then she left.  She doesn't like us shooting off fireworks because she knows thousands of people get seriously injured every year doing just what we were doing.
No body got hurt and I was asleep as soon as my head it the pillow.
