We had to get up early to fix a dessert plate for Mommy to take to work. Mainly I helped eat the leftovers.
Papa came to my house to do some chores. He changed the dryer door to open on the other side. A couple of weeks ago our dryer quit working and Andy changed it out with another one we had in the garage. We didn't notice the door opened on the wrong side.
He got the decorator lights in the front flower bed to work and I went with him to buy a new box of bulbs. GGF came with us too. We stopped at Andy's to look at the wood he is using to build another work bench.
Papa worked very hard on putting together a glider for GGF and all of us, but especially GGF because he likes to sit outside and he doesn't get a nice breeze sitting in the garage. This was a Father's Day gift from all of us. Grandma felt bad that Papa had to put the glider together with only GGF's help. It was hard and hot and humid.
Barbara went to the lake to help Grandma get ready for their fourth of July weekend.
They decorated inside and outside.
See the banners on the second floor balcony?
United we stand!
And they worked in the kitchen a lot getting ready for the the long weekend of company. I chose to stay with Papa and help him do chores at my home. We put my car seat in his pickup. Grandma checked to see if I could ride in the front seat. The answer is not until I am 12 (because of the air bags. Air bags can kill little kids.) Mommy was so excited to start the weekend, she took half a day vacation. I decided to drive up to the lake with her instead of with Papa.
Soon after we arrived at the lake Barbara left and Papa arrived. And following after that were Bridget, Chris, B, Matt Evans, Daddy and Andy. Kristan and AK are with her parents but they will be here on Saturday.
Grandma and Papa bought me a basketball goal for the swimming pool. We played with that for a while, then someone had the bright idea of us putting in on the ground and our playing Horse. That was fun too.
Grandma fixed chicken spaghetti and a Pretzel and Strawberry Cake for dinner. There were not leftovers!
I went to bed at the same time Papa and Grandma did. All the other stayed up talking and playing cards until 3am!
