I sure wanted to wear shorts to school. It was 41 degrees outside and no amount of whining was going to get that to happen.
As it turns out all the kids did have on long pants. Cole was at the bus stop. He enjoyed his vacation in Colorado.
Mrs. Cat told me I have good handwriting. It has improved since the begining of school. I brought home and E (for excellent) progress report.
I asked Barbara to call Mimz and see if I could play with my friends after school for thirty minutes before Barbara and I left to meet Mimz at Sprouts. Mimz said that would work out perfectly since she had an errand to run. Before I ran off to play, I told Barbara I would be back at 4pm. She said make it a few minutes before 4, so I said okay, I'd be back at 3:57.
I came running inside at 3:57 right on time ready to head to the meeting spot we have with Mimz. I use my watch many many times a day. I didn't need to use the restroom, or want a drink, but I agreed to eat a banana in the car. I took a plastic bag to put the banana peel into when I finished. Mimz was waiting for us at Sprouts.
Knox, who just turned 5 in November, and I played and rode our bikes. Knox ate dinner with us. For as long as Mimz can remember I have always loved cabbage but tonight I decided I didn't like it. Mimz made cabbage stew, one of my dad's favorite dishes, with sausage, carrots, potatoes and cabbage. And we had hot cornbread with it. Mimz told me to eat the meat, carrots and potatoes and that would be fine. Knox ate it all.
I did great with my homework and I know my spelling words pretty well. I read three of the four readers Mrs. Cat loaned to me. Mimz read the fourth one to me. I wanted to practice "greater than" and "less than" and that was fun for both Mimz and me.
I was in bed by 7:50 for some iPad time watching football. I have to turn all electronic devices at 8pm.
Anna Kate, wearing an outfit she received from Aunt Lisa for Christmas, ready to go to school for the first time since before the Christmas break.
