Mommy and I slept well in our tent. We woke up at 8am. Some people were cooking breakfast and some were still sleeping. We had pancakes and scrambled eggs and chocolate milk for breakfast and helped clean up. Then it was time to pack to go home. I didn't help but neither did any of the other boys. We all played soccer. We left the park at 10:15am. We had to make sure we left the park as clean as it was when we arrived. It's called "Leave no trace."
I had been very well behaved all weekend, but for some reason I started having an attitude after we got home and I ended up in trouble for talking back and not doing what my mom told me to do. Even my friends said I should do what my mom tells me to do. I'm grounded.
My last Faith Formation class for the school year was today. Mommy took me and Barbara picked me up since she was driving by on her way home from the lake. She had been helping Grandma and Papa do more unpacking and organizing in there new home.
Mommy and Barbara worked hard unloading the care, refolding and repacking the camping gear and getting it all carried upstairs. I was not any help at all. My not helping really bothers Barbara.
Mommy was working on an Easter craft for her co-workers and I was helping until I got an attitude. Barbara was there and she had had it with my poor attitude. She is much harder on me that my mom is. She said no bike riding tomorrow and I smarted off. Well, this went on for a little bit and in the end I ended up with no bike riding for the rest of the week and I'm still grounded. Bummer.
I did take a shower, had a snack, brushed my teeth, and was in bed by 8:45pm. I told Mommy and Barbara I didn't like my mattress. Barbara said she had heard me say that last week and she was thinking about buying me a new mattress. She said her plan has changed after the way I behaved this afternoon. Bummer again.
One day this week Papa caught a 16 pound 13 ounce fish in his pond using his favorite bait: Wheaties!
