We did not have an awards ceremony today to be given the spirit sticks we earned this nine weeks.
I was given my page with three spirit sticks on it:  A Honor Roll, Perfect Attendence and Great Conduct. One other child (a girl) in my class earned all three spirit sticks.  Mrs. Cat told me she was proud of me.
Sometimes businesses in the community donate awards for our good work.

I played with five other boys after school until I had to come in to eat, get cleaned up and dressed for soccer practice.  Barbara took me to that practice.
I scored one goal during our scrimmage.  Half my team wore white and half wore a yellow cover over their white shirt.  The excitement happened when Barbara could not find her car keys.  She had parked the car right by my practice so she sat in the car and watched.  She got out one time, to come over where I was getting a drink from my water bottle.  She walked straight back to the car.  So the keys had to be in the car or on that short path.  I was looking on the path, when John John's dad asked what I was doing.  I told him and he joined the hunt.  Barbara had emptied her purse and they were not there.  She looked under the car seat, then she joined the search outside.  John John's dad asked if he could look in the car.  Barbara said of course he could.  (There is never any trash or stuff left in her car.  She empties it every time she gets out of the car.)  He spotted them under the seat near the back.  Barbara opened the back car door and there they were.  Thank you, John.

At home I ate again.  I had another bowl of spaghetti and a bowl of watermelon.  I did my homework, brushed my teeth and went to bed 30 minute late.
