This was a red letter day: I happily played ALL day with either Barbara or GGM or both and I was a super great behaving little boy too.
First thing we did when we came upstairs to start playing Cars was to go to my craft table to make a doctor's building. I helped cut the roof out of green construction paper. (Dr. Lacour's building has a green roof.) And I decorated it.
Later in the day we were going through the closet in my toy room and found a small Thomas the Train track which fit perfectly into our Car Town after we removed a few buildings. We used it for car racing but we could change it to be a train track if we want to.
We added an architectural piece to the top of the movie theater and also a Pizza hut.
The yellow rectangles are homes.
Cavendars Boot shop, Chevron, and the garage, with mechanic and tow truck. And I like water towers. I think we have four all totaled.
We know the McDonalds sign is missing a D. The blue cup is Panda Express and the green roofed building is the doctor's office. We are free to make any kind of changes we want to in this town. GGM is the mayor, Barbara is the Police Chief, and I am the Fire Chief. So we pretty much have free rein over the town.
Outside we played soccer and Keep Away. We picked up sweet gum balls. We started planning the fort GGF will build me out of cardboard. We were looking through my garage toys and found several things that I have outgrown. I put them in Barbara's trunk to find a home for them.
We found a large blue and white rope that made a great fireman's hose.
GGM and I put out fires in the yard...
... and upstairs too.
I have a great imagination. Those blocks made a great looking fire.
We played a lot of Keep Away.
I love falling down.
I am a great actor.
I helped dig up a few weeds.
I watched one TV show while I ate my lunch on the living room floor. I sat down to quietly read one book, that was all. Then it was back to play time. I am much better about not wanting to "fight" so much. Barbara wants all the "fighting" to stop, so we don't end up hurting one of the three old people at her house.
We played with Deplo's and my great big blocks making towers, steps, airplanes, and hiding places. We worked one new puzzle... well, new to me. We have had it waiting for me to grow to the right age.
All day I have begged for someone to get down a large Thomas the Train track that I could stored on the top shelf of my toy closet. I had to wait until Mommy got here, so she could climb up there. Then, of course, I insisted we needed to take it home with us, so I could start playing with it now.
