I fell asleep on the drive home last night, so I needed a bath this morning.  I didn't like the idea, so I was in a bad mood right off the bat.  Mimz had the bathroom warm and everything ready but I still complained.   Even after a good hair wash and bath, I still complained and didn't want to put on my clothes.  I told Mimz I wanted to curl up on her bed and watch Toy Story.  So Mimz let me do that, but she sat a timer and when it went off, I had to get dressed for school.  My bad mood melted away and by the time I was going into my school I was a very happy boy.  That is two mornings in a row that I was not a happy camper when I first woke up.

Normally Mimz picks me up after school on Thursday but she had her teacher's luncheon and she had to go get all pretty at the beauty shop because tomorrow is Grandparent's Day at Morgan's school.

A funny thing I said: GGF and Barbara were talking about Shirley Temple Black.  They told me she was an an actress long before I was born.  I said:  " I was in heaven waiting to come out of Mommy's body.  I was almost done."
I told Barbara our Car Town was missing something very important: a pizza place.  So we got out our crayons and made a pizza with pepperoni on it to be part of the sign for our new Pizza Hut.
I asked what this thing was, so Barbara had me demonstrated how it is used.  GGM used it twice when she broke her two ankles about five years apart.

I had a ten-minute bad spell that ended up in Time Out.  Later, I almost got in trouble for doing the same thing, but I held my tongue and we had a much better result: we got to continue playing and I did not end up in Time Out.

It was a lovely cool sunny day out, so we all went outside to warm up before my first soccer team practice this evening.  Guess who is the worst kicker of the bunch?  Not too hard to figure that one out... it wasn't the 89, 84, or 4 year old.... but Barbara does try.  We laughed at some of her kicks.
I ate an Oreo cookie at the end of our practice.  GGF was showing me some soccer tricks.

We went inside to have a big snack: a little tuna salad on Ritz crackers, lots of cooked carrots, and a sticky bun.  Then we sat down and read a book out loud.  We had just a few minutes before Mommy would arrive, so I said I wanted Barbara to read a book to herself and I would read another book to myself and that is what we did.
Mommy drove me to practice.  Daddy is the assist coach.  My new jersey is a little big but that is okay.
I had a blast.  At first I hung back a little but I was willing to do everything.
I listened to every word the coach said.  Mommy went to school with one another child's mother.
To be an assistant coach Daddy has to fill out background check papaerwork and maybe get his fingerprints taken.  They are very cautious when letting people work with kids.  That is a very good thing.  They even have people, like Mimz, who volenteer at the hospital get background checks.
