It is a fact, I learn new things every day. Today I put on and zipped a jacket two times all by myself. My motto is Be Prepared.... winter will be here before we know it.
When I got to Barbara's home I found a big bowl of water balloons that
GGM and GGF had filled with water so we could bust them. None of us
were dressed for getting wet so we tried to toss them away from each
other.
I liked tossing them at the garage door and when they hit the ground they would burst.
My tendency is to throw balls overhanded. GGM tries to get me to throw underhanded. She tosses they way up high in the air and boy to they splat when they hit the ground.
Of course, we play car town. I like the police to chase speeders through town. We have the fireman race to put out fires. Today a new show was playing at the theater, so most of the town went to see the show. The ambulance is always rushing to take someone to the hospital. We don't use the toy store very often, I guess because there is no "action" taking place there. I want speed in everything we do in town.
I wanted to paint some more on my rocks. I was left unattended for just a couple of minutes and I thought I would try painting on my body. My stomach looked like a good canvas and I didn't get any paint on my shorts, so no harm done. I think one day soon we will turn me into an Indian with war paint.
Our next project was Mimz' idea. I cut out strips of paper.
I picked out stickers to put on them.
I stuck on the stickers.
We glued the strips together to make a chain. We put 14 circles into this project for a very good reason.
I will be going to the beach in Alabama on July 25th and I keep
asking when we are going.
I can pull off one circle a day and as the chain gets shorter and shorter I will know how long before we leave for our vacation.
We temporarily hung it on my closet door, but I plan to take it home and hang it on our TV entertainment center, so I my family can watch it get shorter and shorter.
I can always count on GGM to bring us snacks. Little peanut butter snacks.
I tend to run through the house and often hurt myself bumping into things, but it doesn't hurt for very long and I get up and run just as fast as I can.
It is too hot to play outside, so we blow up water balloons and I stomp on them.
They are very loud when they pop in the house!
I enjoyed that and help pick up the mess and also help put the remaining balloons back in the bottle. That was a good idea GGM had.
All day I tried to be very good, so I could stay home with GGM to play when Barbara went to the airport to pick up my grandparents... and I was good all day, but when it came time to leave we all agreed that I should go to the airport. A funny thing: Barbara said to GGM: I am sure he will fall "a s l e e p." I said I know what that is.... "asleep." It is hard to keep a secret from me.
We picked Papa and Grandma up at the airport at 5:30pm so I missed Taekwondo class. Grandma had a surprise for me in her suitcase. I could not hardly stand having to wait until we got home to get it. We played 20 Questions, trying to guess what it was was. With some hints from Grandma, like "it will be a good addition to Car Town," and "people have this food delivered to their home" we guessed it was a pizza delivery truck.
It is an old-timey wooden toy from Vermont and it will be parked right in front of our pizza shop in for Car Town. Thank you, Grandma and PaPa. Papa and Grandma both said this was a perfect little vacation, they enjoyed every minute. Next time they need to take me with them. We dropped me off at Mommy's home before heading to Barbara's home to get PaPa's truck so they could head home to rest from their travels.
It rained at Barbara's home while we were at the airport. This cooled everything off, so GGM, GGF, and Barbara were able to go outside and harvest a big bowl of green beans. That 50 cent package of seeds has really paid off. Barbara told me if she had the energy, she would like to have a big vegetable garden. She told me about a big garden she had once. She went out every day to inspect, weed, and harvest. Maybe we can do that when I am a bit older and I can really be a big help. GGM wants cucumbers and watermelon. GGF wants tomatoes. Barbara would like to try all kinds of vegetables. She would hope to have so much produce she would have to share with friends, family, and neighbors.
