Monday's I spend all day with Barbara and my great grandparents. First thing we went for a walk, with me riding in my wagon. On the trip home, I got out and pulled the wagon.
Next I wanted us to look for a policeman's hat that Grandma is sure is with the Halloween costumes. It took us a long time to go through 6 boxes of costumes. We found the policeman's shirt, but not the other pieces to Bridget's old policeman costume.
We found this Raggedy Andy wig.
(Greg, Christina, and Andy. Brenda had a costume also.)
Barbara made Raggedy Andy and Raggedy Ann costumes for PaPa, Grandma, my mom, and Andy. She made the wigs also. I sure wanted to find that policeman's hat.
Oh, we found an adult white Taekwondo uniform in the Halloween costumes. It fit Barbara except the pants were very snug (haha). We will take a picture of both of us in our uniforms.
We often get out my old toys and play with them.
I didn't want to go to the neighborhood pool because there were no children there when we drove by. I want there to be kids there or I don't want to go.
We played with water guns outside. We played Keep Away, Car Town, and Fireman rescuing babies. We didn't play any kinds of guns in the house. The new rule is GGM will not play guns with me, except water guns. We read a few pages in Charlotte's Web. I said I think it is boring to sit and do quiet things like reading, puzzles, and board games. Barbara and GGM sure hope I get over that, because they love that kind of play. My rough and tumble play is too rough for them. They are afraid I will hurt them one of these days. Barbara wants to kick whoever taught me the word "boring."
We watched Gunsmoke, Emergency, and Leave It To Beaver. Beaver's friends get him in all kinds of trouble. His friends reminded her of Luke, the boy whose family lived with Mr Brad for a few months. Luke would have gotten me into trouble often, except Barbara kept an eagle eye on our playing. She put a stop to many of the ideas Luke came up with for us to try. She says my safety is her number one responsibility and she takes it very seriously.
Taekwondo class starts at 5:15, but we get there at 5pm. Barbara can't stand to be late for anything. Often the instructor works with whoever is there early. They especially work with me, since I am just learning. This private time really helps. I do get personal instruction during regular class time also. I can count to seven in Korean easily. In no time I will counting to ten, which is a requirement to earn a yellow belt. I have counted for three of the four instructors. It is funny that Master Thomas has such a big strong loud voice, but when he is working with me he can be very kind to me. Actually they are all kind to me. They all understand that I am just a little kid. They all have noticed how hard I work and how I generally am listening to their instruction even with all the distractions.
We stretch and rest...
I don't always do each exercise exactly right, but I come close.
