It was a very routine morning, awake, breakfast, dressed for water play at school, then drive to school.
I wanted Barbara to not even get out of the car and let me get into school all by myself, but she insisted that she had to watch me get to the curb. As it turns out a teacher came out to get me, so it was a moot point.
For the last mile of our drive to school we notice ribbons of all colors tied to trees, signs, and fences, thousands of them. The ribbons were to honor the family that died recently in that neighborhood.
At school we had water play, which ended right about the same time that the rain started. We had a fire drill at school. We knew it was not a real fire, so we all behaved nicely and practiced for a real fire.
GGF, Barbara, and I stopped at Wal-mart on our way home from school. We bought ten items. I asked for at least twenty items and each time I got the same answer: "You already know the answer," but that did not keep me from asking. The only thing I got out of the shopping trip was sugar free Popsicles.
Red Popsicle lips.
We played all the regular things, plus we practiced folding my Taekwondo uniform. That is one of the requirements for a yellow belt. I helped Barbara fold it the first time, then she helped me fold it the second time. I could easily do it if I had a longer attention span, were more conscience, and understood this is something I am going to have to do.
I see Barbara practicing Basic Form 1 at home but I don't want to do it with her.
Barbara left her phone at home, so she didn't take any pictures of my class this evening. It was a good class with Miss Irene instructing, about eight students. I was the only little kid. The second hour there were at least twenty students and five of them were little kids. I do much better in small classes where I don't have all of those extra distractions and I get lots of personal attention.
