Today was my school's annual Field Day.
Everyone of us have been looking forward to this day.  Daddy, Mimz, Mommy, and Barbara all took off from work.
Barbara drove to the school early because she wanted to easily find a parking spot.  She was there to take a picture of us kids getting off the bus.
Alyssa, Anthony, and me ready to head inside our school.

It started out looking like it was going to rain, maybe all morning, but around 7am, the forecast changed and the sun rose, and the clouds parted and we had a glorious day for outdoor fun!  It was cool and windy but that was okay.

The kindergartners started at stations in the gym, then we progressed around the track going to 15 to 20 stations altogether to do different activities.   The workers did a great job planning and getting everything organized.  Most of the kids wore a maroon colored Metzler Field Day shirt.  I did and so did my mom.  I had on some tall neon green socks that helped my family find me in the crowd.

There was sort of racing against other groups in some of the activities, but there was no real scoring or winners.  We all just had fun playing.  My favorite thing was probably the four-way tug-of-war.  My team won the first two times, but later when it was girls vs. the boys, I'm embarrassed to say, the girls sort of beat us.

My family noticed that I am one of the tallest children in my class.

Daddy went to McDonald's to get me lunch.  From 10:30 to 12:30 we ate lunch and rested while watching a movie.  Mimz, Daddy, and Mommy went to Mel's dinner where Mimz had the catfish dinner, which I have heard is pretty good.  Barbara went home to eat with my great grandparents.  At 12:30p they all came back to school for two more hours or Field Day activities.

When Field Day was almost over, both Mommy and Daddy had to go to work.  I went home with Mimz.  Mimz went to eat with Uncle Scott and family and 8 or Morgan's teenage girlfriends and their families.

I've been learning a lot about Camp Longhorn, which I want to go the summer after I finish second grade.  Morgan has gone every year since she was eight-years-old.  She will be a senior counselor my first year.  I will see her at lunch and I plan to run up to her and give her a big hug when I see her.
