Happy Easter!
Mimz, Daddy, and I went to Sunrise Mass. We were at the church at 6:10am and mass started at 6:30am. Mimz said she was so proud of me because I followed along and sang every song and listened to the readings. I was very good. I wonder if I will earn a sticker when Barbara hears that I was very well behaved.
The weather was perfect. I wore my light jacket and even borrowed Mimz' jacket to cover my legs. Mimz has been going to the beautiful outside service on and off for years. I wish Mimz had thought to take a picture of the crowd. Everyone brings their own chair.
Daddy and I decided to go over to my house to ride my dirt bike. Also we could see what the Easter Bunny brought me at my home.
I found a basket near the fireplace. It had a football in it, that I threw to my dad. There were Peeps marshmallows that I gave to GGM. She had never had Peeps.
There was a small chocolate bunny and some dipping dots, and little bird egg candies. And a flashlight, which I need.
There were a dozen little plastic eggs with dollar bills or quarters in them. I gave those to Barbara to take care of. She put the money in my wallet. And the last thing I opened was an egg that had a note in it saying this was an Easter Egg hunt that Mommy, GGM, and Barbara created for me to follow the clues and find a prize. There were a dozen clues that lead me up and down the stairs, to the dryer, the shower curtain, Mommy Woodstock bird house, my blue pillow, my bike helmet, the mailbox, and a few other places, ending up by my finding the oldest person in the house.
GGM was hiding from me. I had to have help fining her. She had a $20 gift card from Walmart for me. I'm one lucky boy! (I recognized the handwriting on the notes. It was not the Easter Bunny's handwriting.)
Mimz fixed Easter dinner for us. I set the table, put ice and water in the glasses, and made the mac and cheese. My adults love it when I lend a helping hand. It needs to happen more often. I wonder if I will get a sticker for being so helpful?
Daddy took me home sort of late. He came upstairs and helped me get my bath started. When I finished he left. I have sure enjoyed getting to spend a lot of time with my dad the past couple of weeks of Spring Break and Easter Break.
It was about 9:30pm before I fell asleep. Hope I'm not too tired in school tomorrow.
My first cousin twice removed, Michael Smith, lives in NYC. He sent this picture taken today. It is beautiful, but I'm thankful that Easter in Texas was a perfectly beautiful sunny day.
