Barbara came over to my house to get me out of bed, dressed, and over to her house to eat breakfast and enjoy a day of play with GGM, GGF, and Barbara.  We searched Mommy's house trying to find my new blue tennis shoes.  We found my old gray ones but not the new blue ones.  Everyone still needs to keep searching their homes and cars.

I forgot to write this last week:  I slept over at Barbara's most nights.  Before I got in bed, I always looked for my babies: Monk Monk and my polar bear.  I wanted both of them to sleep with me.  And often when I sit down to read a book I go get the babies, so they can sit with me to listen.

Breakfast, brush teeth, and play Car Town.. those were the start of our day.  Then we added a new thing:  At a garage sale, Grandma bought a set of Learning Resource math squares and centimeters and other shapes.  We don't have any instructions, but Mimz was familiar with them (she said she might even have some in her boxes of school supplies since she was a math teacher).  We started our play with one of us making a simple pattern and then the others would try to copy it.

Then the patterns got more complicated.  I liked being the person making up the pattern.  Next we played "gather your color" where we mixed several colors in a pile and we each had to collect all or our two chosen colors.  The first one finished would raise there hand.
Then we build towers to see how tall we could make them before they fell.  Then we started making and matching patterns again.  We didn't do all of that in one sitting.  We would play Keep Away, or Dream Snatchers, or Car Town, then we would go back to the math games.
I never tire of playing Fireman.

We read a Richard Scary book, one that belonged to my Mommy when she was a little girl.  We talk about all the pictures and laugh at the silly things the animals were doing.

I helped GGM fix some fried potatoes and onions, a favorite of all of us.  We ate leftover ribs with them for lunch.

It was an afternoon of routine play until about 6pm, when Mommy got off work.
