Mommy had to get up at 4:30am to get ready for the surgery on her foot. Barbara dropped her off at the surgery place and returned home. She didn't get back to sleep before I woke up at 6:30 saying I was ready to eat breakfast and then we could start building the Imaginext models we found in my closet last night. Mommy surgery took an hour and she had a one hour recovery before Grandma took her back to Barbara's to begin her recovery.
It took a few minutes to get her out of the car and upstairs and into bed, but mostly it was not too hard. She is keeping her foot elevated above her heart to keep the swelling down. The only problem we have so far is Barbara's room if very light and Mommy likes dark rooms. Barbara said no problem and she gave Mommy some airline eye covers so she could have it dark to sleep. Mommy has a bell that she can ring if she needs us. Or she can call us on the phone if we don't hear her.
I gave Mommy Monk Monk to cuddle. She thanked me and said that would help.
Barbara built three and a half Imaginext models: fire station, police station, coast guard station. She is having a problem with a jungle scene. I let her stop since she said she would try again later.
I got GGM and Barbara to play with me with them. We used my craft table for these new toys. There was no room for them in Car Town. We played all day with those new toys. Really they were not new. Grandma bought them at a garage sale. GGM has said she has noticed I have not played with Car Town as much this past month as I used to. She thinks I am getting tired of it, but now I have these two toys to keep me occupied.
We did play some Keep Away and Dream Snatchers. I would not agree to reading or iPad. It was a nice evening, so Barbara, GGM, and GGF and I played outside for almost two hours. One thing we did was race two dump trucks down the driveway.
Then we decided they both needed to be washed, so we did that and now I have two clean trucks.
I took a quick bath with one little toy and I was in bed by 9pm. I have a soccer game at 8:30 in the morning.
