Happy 31st Birthday Aunt Kristan!
When I was little I wanted to hear a story during the drive to school, but now I like to talk about the things we see on the drive to school. Today we talked about all the fire hydrants we see. We must pass one hundred on the eleven mile trip. Each neighborhood has them painted the same color within the neighborhood. Like red bottom with a white cap, or blue bottom with a green cap. Some days we keep an eye out for cement trucks... we see lots of them. And near holidays we see hundreds of American flags. And I am always on the lookout for speeders.
We only had one recess because it was raining the second time we should have gone outside. I would not share any information about what else we did at school. I did go to the TOT class as a special guest. They really want me to sign up again, but it is a repeat of what we did last year so I am not signing up.
I was so hoping I would find Uncle Brad outside working when I got home from school but he and his pickup were gone. I had to play with GGM and Barbara for three hours before he finally got home. We played outside most of the afternoon.
Part of the time it rained, but I still continued to ride my bike. It was hot and humid and not comfortable for GGM or Barbara but they stayed in the garage watching me. I tell them they don't have to watch me, but it is as if they can't hear me. They watch me like a hawk.
I would not practice playing catch with my hard ball and glove but I would hit the ball off the T-ball stand. I am a great hitter.
ProLawn came to clean up the yard. I stayed outside with GGF. I rode my bike in the street, while I watched the workers trimming the bushes and putting down mulch.
I fell off my bike and scratched my elbow. No biggie.
Barbara let me sit in the chair lift this one time but I didn't get to go up the stairs in it. My clothes were soaked and Barbara doesn't have many of my clothes, so I had to put on some non-matching clothes while GGM washed and dried my regular clothes. I didn't have a spare set of underwear, so I had to go without and that sure felt funny.
We took a break from playing to watch Gunsmoke.
Finally Brad got home and he and I went for two bike rides. That was my favorite part of the day.
As Mommy and I were leaving, Barbara said I had a good day. I said I had a GREAT day! Mommy and I went to order my birthday cake.
