There was some popcorn in my sack lunch, but I didn't touch it. Barbara doesn't know that I don't eat popcorn! An aside: Popcorn is Grandma's favorite food. She has had it almost every day since she was in junior high and she has gotten a present of a bag of popcorn and maybe a popcorn popper every Christmas since then.
My neighbor, Mr. Brad was mowing his yard, but as soon as he finished, he and I went for a bike ride. We had a nice surprise waiting for us when we got home from the ride. GGM had made an apple pie and we sure enjoyed eating it. Before the afternoon was over, I had four pieces of it...actually there were really slivers, not whole pieces. I said I didn't want the crust, but I ate it and the pie filling with relish.
This is me after the hot and muggy bike ride. I had sweat running down my neck.
My bike needed to be washed. First I rinsed it off.
Then I started scrubbing.
I washed every inch.
Working in fun. My adults hope I keep this wonderful work ethic all my life.
Even the tires got a good scrubbing.
It started to rain before I finished and I thought I might not need to rinse off the soap, but I was having so much fun, I did use the hose to get off the soap.
All done. Time to put things away.
It was raining and sunny at the same time.
Oh, How I love to ride in the rain. See video.
GGM said if she had a dollar for every time we have driven or raced around Car Town she could take me on a trip around the world!
