Happy 56th birthday, Grandma.  Read below to learn of another important event in my family history that happened on this day 100 years ago.

Normally both of my parents are at work, when it is time for me to go to school, but today both Mommy and Daddy took me to school.   So this is a special event.

My parents drove to Norman, Oklahoma, Bridget and Chris B. and all my Laplante family from Tennessee flew to Norman, and PaPa and Grandma drove from Kansas to Norman. Plus four of Lisa and Danny's friends from Tennessee also came.  There was a total of 17 people in their party.  Andy and Kristan did not go because they wanted to be home with our Baby Girl.  I guess I need to start calling her Anna Kate.   I'm just so used to saying Baby Girl.  They are all going to an OU football game on Saturday.
Norman, Oklahoma is having record low temperatures this weekend, so they are going to be cold.

PaPa and Grandma really enjoyed this week-long vacation.  Today, to pass the time while they were driving, Grandma read her Grandma Bates' life story aloud to PaPa.  She noticed something very interesting:  Sarah Selina Dollaway Bates married Reuben Bates 100 years ago TODAY. They are my great great grandparents.  They are my GGF John's parents.
