Barbara and I went downstairs to find GGM fixing her breakfast. I wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa while Barbara fixed me a dip egg, meaning a soft egg, that I could dip toast into. This was a first, and I ate a dozen bites, before I said I didn't like it. Barbara said we would have it again, and she thinks I will learn to like egg served that way. She said she ate toast fingers and dip egg many times when she was a little girl.
I had a choice of riding my bike or playing Car Town with some new cardboard ramps... I chose racing cars down the ramps. At first I balked at doing my breathing treatment before we started playing, but in the end I took the treatment while Barbara read one of my old favorite books to me.
I was advised I had two more chores I had to get done this morning: brush my teeth, and clip my nails. I was given the option of playing for ten minutes until a timer went off then do my chores. I said, "Why don't we get our work done first, then we can play and play and play?" Barbara was so happy to hear me say that. That is what she and GGM often preach to me. So teeth brushed, nails clipped, and then the play started.
My new Car Town ramps work great, better than my old ramp. But I don't want to get rid of the old one yet. It still works. GGM is getting tired of Car Town. She is ready for us to disassemble it, because I only want to play policeman and chase speeders. We used to take kids to school, get gas in the car, play in the park, buy produce at the farm, have parties, and doctor's visits, trips to the car wash, lake, and drive-in movies. I guess I need to be willing to use all the parts of Car Town.
The weather was perfect outside, so I spent most of the day riding my bike. First Barbara went on a walk with me, then GGM went. The rest of the time I just rode around my street and driveways with someone watching me from the driveway.
We started trying to grow celery about a week ago. This picture was taken yesterday...
...and this picture was taken today. See how it has grown in just one day.
We decided to make cinnamon rolls.
I started measuring the water while GGM got out all the ingredients.I stirred the yeast into the water.
I helped knead the dough. Then we had to let it rise for 45 minutes.
There are so many fun parts to baking cinnamon rolls.
I sprinkled the cinnamon and sugar on the rolled out dough.
We made the roll and then I was given my own plastic knife to cut and knead, and roll while GGM got the rolls cut and on a pan to rise again. A good thing is eating them.
While the cinnamon rolls were rising I decided I wanted to wash my wheelbarrow...
I washed every part of it ...
I didn't stop until it was all clean.
Barbara said I look like PaPa cleaning a car. I am a hard worker.
All done and all clean.
We picked green beans and then we tore out the plants. The plants looked good and we probably could have harvested more beans, but ProLawn is going to clean up our flowerbeds this week and we wanted the green plants out in case they plant flowers.
Barbara and I did make up a new game: We each had a swimming pool noodle and a rubber ball. We started in the big TV room and raced to see who could move the ball just using the noodle to my toy room. Then we raced back to the big TV room, then we raced to my craft room, then to Barbara's room. I won five races, Barbara won one. I didn't like that she won. I don't mind losing to kids, but I sure don't like losing to adults. GGM and GGF wold have played with us except we only had two noodles so only two people could play at one time. We will play that game again. It was fun.
All of the Laplante family made it back safely from their trip to Oklahoma. Mommy picked me up around 5pm. I took a 45 minute nap and would have slept longer except Mommy made me get up so I would be able to go to sleep at bedtime.
