A funny thing: Mimz and Barbara often exchanges sacks of my clothes. They came up with a method to let the other one know which clothes are clean and which are dirty. The clean ones are in white Walmart bags. The dirty ones are in brown Kroger bags.
My running club meets at 7:15am on Thursdays. We took a break for the holidays. I found out we won't start back up until Feb. 1st. I told Barbara on running days, I need to eat more protein for breakfast so I wanted eggs with hot sauce and bacon. She said we could do that.
My PE teacher let me call home to tell Barbara my good news. I started the call by saying, "This is Mason at Metzler." Barbara asked if I was sick. I said, "No, I'm fine. I wanted to share that I ran a mile in 7 minutes and 1 second and I made the Dream Mile race." I said my PE teacher let me use her phone to share my good news. Barbara happily shared the news with Mommy, Grandma, Andy, Kristan, Bridget, Mimz, and Daddy. Everyone was pleased to hear my news and they are proud of me.
My baseball field practice was canceled due to the rain. I played hockey in the street until about 5p then I came inside. The wind was picking up and a cold front was coming in.
I wouldn't eat taco soup or pork chops, but I would eat a piece of hot cherry pie. I called my dad to see if I could come see him. Everyone agreed I could but first I had to finish my Reconciliation candle.
Mommy had cut out 2 crosses and 2 hearts using an exacto knife. She did let me cut some of the straight lines using a ruler and the exacto knife. I stuck the wax crosses and hearts on the candle and Barbara and I both added the straight lines around the top edge.
Barbara drove me to meet Mimz at Sprouts. We didn't realize how strong the wind was blowing. It almost blew us away.
Remember I said Mommy had shingles. It first started Thursday, Jan. 4th. She is in pain all the time but she still has to go to work and do regular stuff. Mimz shared that her mother and Uncle Scott both had really bad cases of shingles. He mothers lasted for months. Uncle Scott was in the hospital for ten days when he had his. It was after he had a bone marrow transplant when he was young and his immune system was suppressed. Barbara had it twice and said hers was not horrible but it was not any fun either.
