I spent the night at Barbara's home. First thing I said was I wanted to stay in bed and watch Gunsmoke... and I wanted Barbara to fix grits, toast with apple butter, and apple juice on it and bring it upstairs so I could eat in bed. I got my wish. I guess I am a pretty special boy.
I wanted to wear my camo clothes and my new camo boots...
... I do all kinds of karate chops and fast moves when i get dressed as a "character."
All four of us, GGM, GGF, Barbara, and I swept the street, and picked a couple hundred sweet gum balls that had fallen during the night. We played hopscotch on the driveway.
Inside we played all the regular things. I watched a bit of Gunsmoke on the iPad and wanted to know why it was all gray. Barbara told me that very old shows were not in color, just black, gray, and white. My favorite thing to play now is Gunsmoke; or playing with my baseball players either in Car Town, on my train track with my wooden blocks, or in the bathtub.
Grandma noticed a sore on the crown of my head. We put ointment on it for two days. Today while in the bathtub, Barbara washed it well. It may have been an insect bite that I scratched.
I keep getting in trouble for being very bossy when we are playing. I like to tell everyone what they can and can't do in our pretend play. They want me to let them come up with some ideas for what they want to do and I keep on saying, "No, don't do that, do this." If we are hunting, and they shoot a bear, I say no not that bear. If we are driving cars, I say, no not that way. We are implementing a new rule. If I keep on doing that after I have been told to let them play like they want to, I will spend ten minutes, playing alone... which I really don't want. They hope I learn to let everyone act out our pretend play as they think of something to do.
GGM fixed us some Jiffy cornbread, so along with a bunch of leftovers we ate well. A funny thing: before Mommy picked me up I had sweet potatoes, corn, and rib meat.... then later Mimz had Mommy, Daddy, and me meet her at Neal's Restaurant for dinner. Mimz wanted to see me. I ate hamburger steak, peas, and macaroni and cheese.
Then I enjoyed chewing on Mommy's ribs. I wanted to go home with Mimz but agreed to wait until tomorrow night to do that.
Oh, boy, the talk is that we will go to the Rodeo on Saturday. Yippee!
